Vikings Announce Coaching Staff Moves
Posted by on March 4, 2013 – 10:28 amVikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier has made two adjustments to his coaching staff – one is a position switch and the other is an addition.
The switch will be made by Ryan Ficken, who joined the Vikings staff in 2007 and was previously the assistant wide receivers coach. Ficken will now be the assistant special teams coordinator, replacing Chris White. Earlier in the offseason, White left the Vikings to accept a position at the University of Iowa.
The addition is Jeff Howard, who replaces Cam Turner as the Vikings Assstant to the Head Coach. Cameron Turner previously held the position but left this offseason to join his father’s staff at Florida International University. Howard spent 2011-12 at Texas Tech as a graduate assistant, where he was the safeties coach and the defensive recruiting coordinator.

So now who becomes the new assistant WR coach….or will we not have one now? Given that current state of the WRs, I think it will be a vital position to have numerous good coaches for in order to get the passing game on track.

how about getting #ChrisCarter#80 as the WR coach?

Cameron Turner is an offensive minded assistant coach. Why did we replace him with a defensive minded coach??????? We already have Frazier who is a defensive minded coach!!!!!!!
MUSGRAVE NEEDS HELP ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE.
SPEND SOME MONEY AND HIRE MIKE MULARKEY AS AN ASSISTANT COACH.

I like how we picked up an ex defensive recruiting coordinator before the draft. We need to draft well again this year.
P.S. when are they going to resign J. Sanford only reason I would let him walk is if he wanted a chance to start permanently somewhere. He is a very inspirational player who plays with heart and compasion for the game. I would hate to see him go.

I would love to see CC as receivers coach but I dont see him staying in his lain I can see him chewing out everyone for mistakes haha.

Those boys could benefit from a little motivational bútt chewing. Someone needs to straighten them out. But I doubt it’ll be CC. I think he likes his spot behind the desk critiqueing all the other teams too much.

This is what i think the vikings should do on Free agent signing and the draft
signing
woodson CB 3 year 4-5mill per year
landry S 3 year 4-6mill per year
jammer CB-SS 3 year 3-5 mill per year
gibbson WR 2 years 3-5 mill per year
Resign
loadholt
henderson
Brinkley
redo contract
allen to a 4 year 8-10mill contract with perks
Kwill 2-3 year 7.5mil contract or let him go
witch will give MUCH more cap room if it gets done…
draft
get a good DT to takeover or back up Big will
and grab justin hunter WR
and for the other 7-8 draft picks try and grab a diamonds in the late rounds or just pick fill ins..
money might be a little off for new free agents coming in but with redoing some contracts and maybe letting go of Kwill you would still have enough cap to put more on the table for others.. i think with doing this you would be able to put enough talent on the Defense and put people around ponder to see if he is the real deal or not and make a big run to the playoffs….
What do you think?

Why not put Webb where he was originally great. WO only now with the ability to back up the QB? Keep him in the game and ready to go, in game shape so he can show the athlete he is.
