Sunday’s Combine Schedule: QBs, RBs And WRs On The Field

Posted by Mike Wobschall on February 24, 2013 – 7:50 am

Sunday is not a day of rest at the 2013 Scouting Combine. Quite the opposite, in fact. The on-field drill portion of the Combine kicks into full gear and the final groups (Groups 10 and 11 – DBs) get started on their first full day of the Combine schedule.

Here is a quick breakdown of Sunday’s schedule…

QBs, RBs and WRs: On-Field Workouts (timing, stations, skill drills), Departure from Indianapolis

DL and LBs: Meetings, Psychological Testing, Bench Press, Team Interviews

DBs: Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media Obligations, Team Interviews

OL prospect Terron Armstead, all 300 lbs of him set a Combine record.

He ran the 40 yd dash in 4.71. Get him and sit him up opposite of Kalil.

    Check him out, Mike W.

    Hopkins ran 4.50 (unofficial)…

    Good enough for me…

That is good! But WR’s are a bit lighter on their feet then an OL.

There are some no-name WRs with good size and sub-4.5 times. I wanna watch those guys catch the b@ll.

Hunter pretty quick for being a tall guy

I think Glennon’s a diamond in the rough.

    Poor showing for Goodwin…

Could not track the footb all on the “over the shoulder” catch down field…

Speed does not catch footb alls…

T Austin will go in the first round somewhere…

No way he falls into the second round…

I’m still not sure why anyone thinks we need a DT before we get a ILB, OLB, CB, WR etc. We had the 5th most sacks and the 11th ranked rush defense.

Meanwhile we had a terrible pass defense and worse passing offense.

So I think it’s safe to say, short of trading up, Patterson will be off the board at 23. Hopefully Hopkins is still there. As a late round guy, I think Corey Fuller from VT looks promising. Good size, sub 4.4 speed, and good concentration on the b@ll as it’s coming in.

Woods has gone up my draft board…

    Looking good today…

And you can throw Connor Vernon on my late round short list as well! FANTASTIC HANDS!
