Ponder is mediocre at best. Webb is not the answer either. They are both backups in my opinion. For instance, if we would have taken Kaepernick last year, do you really believe Ponder would even be discussed in starting next year? He’s a great person, but come on man! This is about fitting a football in a window the size of a frying pan running thirty miles an hour while you are running backwards with a 350# man about to pummel you into the ground – and do that consistently.
