I don't know guys... Have you watched the film on him? I DO NOT think he's the guy we're looking for on the outside. Three reasons:

1.) Traps the ball against his chest, call em chest catches. This is his preferred style and it's flooding his highlight reel. Granted, he seems to understands the sidelines, but I'm questioning his hands.

2.) Agility, speed, and playmaking... All big questions for me. Doesn't like to get hit (willingly falls to the turf) and doesn't seem light on his feet.

3.) What's the difference between him and Michael Jenkins? Answer: age.

Umm... get that Patterson guy from Tennessee first round... make sure we resign loadholt as he is not only a huge man that can block for AD but a project guy who can learn alot and be a relatively cheap RT for a few years and perhaps a star in 3 or 4 years to come. Ponder can also develop, but I think picking up a veteran free agent such as Alex Smith could really help his development and create a good competition at quarterback. Defensive secondary is also a good position to work on in the draft. We need a little more depth at the CB and Safety positions. But.... if a guy like Manti Te'o is still available at #23 I think you could definately throw him in that linebacking core of ours. We're also getting a little old and slow at DT... so there's alot of work to do in alot of positions. I'm confident in Rick Spielman as he has drafted pretty well in the past.

If only there were more players like AD, This man was rewarded with a 100 Million contract by the Vikings, He played every game hard and left it all on the Feild. He then gets injured, A career ending type injury for a RB, So what did he do, He worked and worked and gutted it out, and made it back on the Feild, but after a few weeks, He began running like a man Possesed, He Proved that he is still the best RB in the NFL, And he showed the Vikings what kind of man, and player he is to this Franchise. And that will never be forgotten.

Webb is a bust,but ponder isn't?
Ponder is a high first round, who has done nothing.
What has he proven? that he can hand off to AP......or throw an occasional pass while eight defenders cover the run?
This article is garbage.. Go ahead and throw Webb under the bus while ponder slides out the back door, and slides in as starter for 2013.
Good luck Ponder if AP doesn't bail you out one of these weeks with 200 yrd ground game
