To All,

Could you magine if the Vikings at least two-three ALL-Pro Lineman. Where do you think AD numbers would be?
Most of the time he was tackle right out the gate, majority of the time.
The Vikings money was wasn’t on Carlson. We need a two linebackers Brinkley and Henderson cannot tackle for sh$$t. We need get back to gang tackling. Kevin Williams is well past his prime, we need up grade. Need another OC and some coaches need to be let go e.g. Singletary?

Going forward, we need:

1. A great head coach – Probably ain’t gonna happen
2. WR
3. OG
4. MLB – time to get a great one in the NFC North tradition
5. OLB
6. CB – Seattle’s cb’s are the trend of the future
7. RT – Loadholt is playing on borrowed time – “looks like Tarzan – plays like Jane”

As I’ve been posting for 2 seasons now, Rick Spielman has done a fine job drafting players — love Walsh & Harrison, but hands down, Matt Kalil is not just the best rookie. . . . he’s already one of the best Tackles in the league!

I believe Harrison Smith will be 1 of the top Safeties & Walsh will be 1 of the best PK’s for years to come.

The one Achilles heel Spielman has is, if indeed, it’s his call on Head Coach — he hasn’t done a great job – I give him – or whoever’s responsible, a C- on the Head Coaching selections. The Vikings won IN SPITE of the coach — and it took a monumentally historic season by Adrian Peterson ( aka “the Angel of Death”). Otherwise, if Adrian couldn’t play, Frasier would have had a losing season with no weapons.

Shawn we won’t have the cash to sign Bowe. We have about 16 mill in cap space I believe, if williams restructures we might have close to 20. Harvin will take up about 10 mill of that, loadholt will take up a fair amount along with maybe Simpson and Felton. Bowe will take at least 10 mill a year so we won’t have the space.

And we will take a LB in the first 2 rounds due to Henderson and Brinkley being FA this offseason.

I would like to see Joe Webb used with Percy Harvin as a reciever
A few lessons on how to catch and hold onto that round thing.
Don’t foget Peterson had problems at first. And don’t foget Joe can run like a
deer with the hounds on his heels I say give it a try.

We have the 23rd pick of the draft, so we are not going to get the best WR availible. I think that first pick could be a LB, OT, or OG. Those top notch players sometimes fall to those lower spots. I heard Frazier complimenting Loadholt, but has he done enough improving to get a contract. I am not sure. We need more Depth on the OL anyway and would like our first pick used there or if there is a top notch NT that would be good also. I see our needs at WR, OT, OG, NT, LB, CB. PR/KR. I am not sure why they signed a punter, but they may want to give Kluwe some competition. I have already made my comments about Harvin I hope he is back next year, but not suprised if he isn’t.

@OTK I have to disagree with you. The Vikings don’t have a need to draft a QB or bring in a FA. Although it is possible they may bring in a QB or draft one. I don’t think you will see that as a “first” need basis. Ponder is the starting QB for the Vikings unless he is out played by another in the Preseason. I don’t see Webb having a lot of options this coming year to go to another team. The running QBs didn’t fair well this year and adding his performance as back up. We would be lucky to get a 5th or 6th rounder for him. I think you see a competition for the #2 QB position between MBT and Webb. Although Webb is still under his rookie contract they could decide to cut him and draft a promising QB at rounds 4 or under. That’s how I see the QB situation going.
