A few side notes:
- Ponder is not truly a “2nd year QB” he had no training camp last year and only played 6 games? I think? He is essentially still a rookie*
- O.J. broke 2000 yards in 14 games. That is amazing and a greater acomplishment that Dic kerson or AP’s numbers.
– Winfield must play if we have a chance at winning
- Jefferson had tight coverage most of the time but took penalties or receivers made great plays. He will be targeted all day long again.
- Special teams must play better
- Need 5 sacks minimum.

The noted talent/experience factor is simple they have already played top teams in a ( win or go home situation and AP STEPPED into history ) just to get here!!!!!!!!!!!!! Preasure is on the other guys now to try to keep up

They could put a “soft cast” on Winfield’s hand; been done before.They should be practicing outdoors for this next match-up. We can’t afford to come out of the gate and not get some points regardless if it’s on the ground or in the air. Ponder needs to be able to throw a “frozen” football and the runners need to carry around a “frozen” football as well. This is not going to be an easy game to win; much like Sunday’s game. They need to stay FOCUSED and do what they have been doing for the past 4 games. Kalil needs to block “Sister Golden Hair” better and O-Line will need to protect Ponder as long as possible is/when he needs to throw the ball. We certainly have to remain aggressive with coverage of Jennings,Nelson,Jones. Broken coverage will kill us is its not fixed. BLITZ AND BLITZ some more on “Snookie Rodgers”. Get 10 sacks instead of 5 and hopefully, get some turnovers. Ponder played well on Sunday and I hope he can play well on Saturday because I think it will require both running/passing just like Sunday to win this game. Happy New Year to all the Vikings Nation/Team. Our mission isnt quite accomplished yet. Play as ONE unit, dig deep inside yourselves. Don’t give up and continue to prove the naysayers are wrong about this team. They never have given this team the RESPECT that it so rightfully deserves. WE WILL PROVE THEM ALL WRONG come Saturday night!!! Nothing would be finer than to see GB fans/Packers crying in dismay over their loss. GOOOOOO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just hope that Winfield’s not too injured to play Saturday night.the Packers are going to go straight at Marcus Sherels and AJ Jefferson from the stating gate.i’m also a little worried about it being a night game.lately we haven’t shown up on primetime night games.Saturday night is the time to turn that around.

Sad to say but we will be saying goodbye to Percy, He wants to be the number 1 cog in the offence, but never will be here. Does any of this remind you of the stephon garnett situation? Steph aka Percy wants to be number 1 but he has someone a lil better in front of him, so he feigns like he is hurt so he doesn’t have to compete with our true #1 we need to trade him and get as much as we can for him, this is just my opinion, would love ad and percy to work together and built possibly one of the most explosive offences of all time.

As I have been stating all year. Be patient fans and you will be rewarded. Ponder will be successful if he has the time to grow. No matter what happens in the playoffs, this team won. They beat the analyst, the critics, and their opponents. This has been a wonderful year for them and they realize that they are a great team full of great people, not just players, but people. Frazier said it best, they are a team of high character people who have developed a great chemistry. If Percy stays he has to fit the dynamics of the team. Win or lose, this team defied the odds and came out on top. Ponder did a great job carrying the mid season criticism and then excelling when it truly matter. So he will be our franchise QB as he grows. This is his first test in the playoffs. One of many to come. Great job Vikes.
