Current Vikings Set To Support E.J. Henderson’s “Adopt-A-Family” Holiday Event

Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 18, 2012 – 6:53 am

E.J. Henderson is no longer chasing quarterbacks and tackling running backs for the Vikings, but he continues to make a difference in the Minnesota community. Henderson, a standout for the Vikings defense from 2004-2011, will be joined by several current Vikings on Tuesday evening to bring smiles to the faces of 36 local families.

Jared Allen, Jasper Brinkley, Fred Evans and Kevin Williams will brighten the Holiday season for the families by taking them on a shopping spree at the downtown Minneapolis Target store. This is the fourth annual E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation-sponsored event, and it’s the third time that Allen has supported Henderson’s event.

While a player for the Vikings, Henderson was one of the organization’s most community-conscious player and in 2010 he was named the Vikings Community Man of the Year.

    Percy’s petulant past….

Urban Meyer had problems working with Harvin in college…

Childress had problems working with Harvin…

Frazier has problems working with Harvin…

Why should the Vikings PAY Percy ???…These problems will only get worse after he gets paid…Not better…

If I am Spielman…Petulant Percy is gone…And pick up a first round draft pick for him…If not more ???…

The Vikings had the best doctors in the world help Percy get rid of his migraines….

And all he has done for the Vikings in return ???…Is give those migraines back to his head coach…And the Vikings front office… :-(

I think the Vikings trade Percy Harvin…

    Shawn…

    I agree..

Pay Loadholt…He has been solid all season…

    Loadholt is a solid RT…Not great…But solid…And getting just a little better each season…

Good right tackles don’t grow on trees…And Loadholt is not great..But does fall into the “good” area, for sure…imo…

I am just hoping D Love can come in next season…And help at G and T…

I like Loadholt, it’s kinda hard not to when the dude is 6 foot 8 and 400lbs… just sayin. But he gets a lot of false start penalties, I am pretty convinced that as soon as they say “false start offense… I know that they are going to say “number 71″ so that is frusterating. But the man is so big I wonder how anyone gets passed him at all. Loadholt is OK… Not great… just OK.

Percy on the other hand. I am on the fence with him. Non of us actually know what is going on behind the scenes. If Percy is causeing issues I am all for trading the problem child. But if not, then why would we get rid of such a huge threat! I guess I don’t know enough about what goes on behind the scenes to make a accurate judgement at this point. Though I would like to speculate, I wont

    Musky…

You are right !!!…NOW is not the time to speculate ANYTHING about Harvin…

So I will wait until AFTER the season for the Vikings is over to really speculate anything about Harvin…(but will do plenty then.. :-) ….)

For right now…Its what is happening, in the right now !!!….

    Go AP and TEAM !!!…

Texans are the task at hand….

Fraizer has nothing to work with, Yet we keep winning football games. He has no QB and no pass ing attack. But has the best RB in the league! Fraizer is doing more with less than a lot of other coaches in the league. I used to think he wasn’t doing a good enough job, but then I thought… What does he have to do a job with??? Not much and somehow still wins. Hmmmm. Maybe this coach is the right one for this team. Now just get a new OC and we will be all good.

    Musky…

    Food for thought ???…

Does Musgrave have more to work with, than what Frazier has ???
    ;-)

One down two to go. Nice work, Vikes

@ OTK… Your right.. they are in it together.. Doesn’t mean musgrave is not an idiot. Fraizers doesn’t call those terrible plays… Musgrave does. And I have never liked him… IMO he has never been a good, or talanted OC> I didn’t even like him the year he went 14 and 2 with the Falcons.

So I have never liked Musgrave I especially don’t like him now. And the fact that he said (fraizer said too) that Ponder was efficiant enough. I mean Cmon man??? really??

Musgrave just looks like a deer in the head lights. Get him off the field so Ponder can have more confidence, cause ummmm, he is terrible

I know everyone wants Ponder to be an experienced 5 year starter with great WR’s…

    But that isn’t the case…

This is a young QB…And a young O-line…Both are getting better each game…

This O-line is going to be dominant…They all ready do a great job run blocking….As they grow together…And Ponder gets more weapons to work with outside ???…

This offense is going to have a lot more balance…

    Just not this year…

But its still been a great season !!!…

ooooo how i miss EJ Henderson at middle linbacker jasper is TERRIBLE!!!!!

  14. By MuskyFever on Dec 18, 2012 | Reply

Have you guys been watching the games. Jasper has been flying to the ball recently in past weeks. He is always around the ball in the run game and making a bunch of plays in the passing game. People that think he is not playing well either no nothing about the linebacker position or don’t pay close enough attention to each play. Brinkley has been playing lights out over the last few weeks. Sure he made a mistake or two. but more production from him right now than any other LB on the crew… except Greenway of course

  15. By Shawn on Dec 18, 2012 | Reply

yea i agree Musky … the first few weeks i thought jasper was “terrible” but he has really come together and played well

I agree OTK … a team cant afford pro bowlers at every position. Some guys just have to be solid. Loadholt is solid …
