It’s the second consecutive week and third time overall that Peterson has been honored as the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week in 2012, and it’s also the third time Brady has been so honored.
Brady and Peterson were selected from among 6 finalists in Air and Ground categories. The other FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week finalists were QBs Nick Foles (Philadelphia) and Cam Newton (Carolina), and RBs Marshawn Lynch (Seattle) and Knowshon Moreno (Denver).

I agree– and Webb will fly around and win the game– and everyone will say, see, we told you, Then they will start Webb against the Texans and after the first half the Texans will have outscored us by 30 points. Webb is great as a change up, but when teams plan for him, he is about a Ponder level QB.

@Titus,
My good friend…What do you base your “he’s good as a changeup, but not as a starter?” Joe Webb has started only 3 games in 3 years.
It’s like Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, and even Tom Brady. Nobody knew how good they were until they had a chance to play!!!
By Frederick Jones on Dec 15, 2012 | Reply
@Titus,
Apparently he got in at least one play this year according to Pro football reference because they give him credit for a game.
But keep reminding yourself that the OLines of 2010 and 2011 were FAR WORSE, than the one we have in 2012.
GIVE JOE WEBB A CHANCE TO PLAY DUDES!!!
By Frederick Jones on Dec 15, 2012 | Reply
Ponder will probably start the rest of the games unless he gets hurt.
But IF IT WERE JONES he would start Joe Webb.
Never any hesitation, joneDogg been sayin’ it cents day 1

Even the commentators in preseason said Webb panics and sends anxiety through the whole team– the O line would not be very effective once Webb scampers all about like a giant squirrel wearing a purple, gold, and white uniform and cleats.

I have hear other commentators (Like Al Michaels, Chris Collingworth) say nothing but good things about Joe Webb!
Another thing, one minute you say maybe we should start Webb..
The next tim minute you say: he scampers like a gaint squrirel!… So?
At least Joe can make TD’s running, not like your boy Ponder!
Would you care to name YOUR commmentators tha say otherwise?

By Titus Flavius Caesar Vespasianus Augustus on Dec 16, 2012 | Reply
Bluebird, you are funny– commentators? With an s? Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth? Keep your facts in context. THAT WAS THE SAME GAME– the one game against Philly– Philly was overconfident– our team was stuck in a hotel till Tuesday– they were itching to knock heads and release some aggression after sitting in a hotel (game was supposed to be Sunday, but big snowstorm postponed it). I called that game– I knew our team was antsy after being cooped up so long– and our D played magnificently. Webb did decent– but since then, name a game even close to that performance under Webb? That was 2010.
