Gilberator - Quit deflecting for JC Dogg. Address the main point I was making to JC Dogg. Where are the stats to back up his earlier position that a running back has rushed for more yardage over a 7 game period than the starting QB "more times than you think"? Oh yeah, he can't back it up because it rarely, if ever, happens over 7 games!!!! He is still searching the stat websites to find data to back up his statement. LOL Quit being Ponder apologists. The longer it takes people to face reality the longer it will take management and the coaching staff to do the same.

It is simple. People are saying Ponder needs time to develop into a good QB, So us the fans we have to stop going to the stadium and stop paying for this expensives nfl sunday ticketts channels till he develops into a QB. We are paying all this expecting them to win or at least fight close games. He is supposed to be a pro, with pro coaches, with technology to help him with his development and game after game we are getting the same results with the same excuses. I believe us the fans have the right to ask for results the same way they expect us to expend money on them, so he can have an easy check by having games with less than 100 yards and Peterson killing himself for nothing. Frazier has to leave, he is scare to pull the trigger on Ponder. I can't not believe Ponder is having this year with all the training camp, pre season games, and week after week of preparations.

Wild Viking. Yeah....put your faith in NFL analysts. They are ALWAYS correct. Draft an AJ Green-type receiver and if that doesn't increase Ponders play then it is time to move on. He made that 56 yard throw to the End zone. It hit Devon's' shoulder. That play should have been made. The int from the Wright throw was bad and he admitted it. I believe Ponder is progressing, its just hard to see with a sub-par pass blocking effort and a group of number 3 receivers. I'm happy with what my Vikes are doing. Another draft like last year and we will be looking pretty good. Obviously wont get as good of a position but if we choose our 1st pick wisely we could potentially sit pretty high in this division.

JC Dogg - You are making that up. I just went and checked the stats. Tiki Barber ran for 1,518 yards in 2004 (Eli Manning's rookie season). That was over 16 games. So that's an average of 94.8 yards per game. Eli manning only played in 9 games his rookie season and he threw for 1,043. That's an average of 115.8 yards per game. And that was Manning's rookie season and his worst year. It was also Barber's 3rd best year of all time. In Manning's 2nd year (2005) he played 16 games and threw for 3,762 yards. That year Barber had his best year of all time. He rushed for 1,860 yards. You do the math. Don't tell everyone it happens "more times then you think" unless you can find several 7 game stretches in recorded history where IT ACTUALLY DID HAPPEN and then SHOW US THE STATS. And quit being a Ponder apologist. He is NEVER going to be a franchise QB. He has already been evaluated by NFL Analysts, which I'm assuming you are not, and they say he does not have the skills.

Whether the Vikes win or lose, they will always have my support. If one calls that blind fanship then so be it. When I was a little girl my mom would take my brother and I to Mankato, MN to watch the Vikes practice, what a thrill; back then it was the team of the Purple People Eaters with Carl Eller, Stu Voigt, Fran Tarkenton, and Bud Grant, etc. - what an amazing thing for a 7-year-old girl.

One time when practice was done we went to get autographs and the team gladly gave them out; however, Mr. Tarkenton was a different story, he was a little less excited about it. I asked him, "Mr. Tarkenton, could I please have your autograph", he signed my notepad and stated "That is how you ask for an autograph" and walked away from the crowd. He only signed my notepad that day and no one else's. Something, I will never forget.

Yes, the Vikes have struggled, but I do not think there is one guy out there that does not give everything he has. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it does not. Losing is disappointing and believe me there is nothing worse than to live in Wisconsin and support a loosing Viking team. I moved to Wisconsin with my family over 20 years ago - but I still wear my Viking jerseys and sweatshirts as often as I can and especially on Sunday. I have not missed an available game on TV in 40 years.

This year we have had a lot of struggles, but as mentioned earlier (above), our QB is new and new to the whole system, he is having a tough time right now - but let's get behind him and cheer him on. Thank you Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen, Brian Robison, Chad Greenway, Walsh, Harvin, and Winfield who have made this year fun to watch.

Wild Viking--more times then you think, and it depends on the QB. It has happened in Walter Payton's era, It happened with Barry Sanders, It happened with Arian Foster, it happened with Tiki Barber, it happened with Chris Johnson....It has happens a lot when a team focuses on the run. So don't make it sound like it is unheard of.

Ok guys, I think this is something you all need to consider. The QB you are asking for threw less yardage in his first 22 games then our QB. Smith had a horrible first 3 years...his y/g average was around 140 and yes, many games under 100 and a few that boarded 100. So careful what you ask for, it may come true. I will tell you all this, be patient. Don't compare Christian to Luck...he has better weapons, Griffen has better WR weapons and so does Russell. I guarantee that you give him a go-to receiver (Supposed to be Simpson) and he will start to grow. He does have to work on pocket presence, but that will come with experience. He is not a QB that is going to flash, he is a QB that will develop over time. I will say this till I am blue in the face. Put up with some erratic early behavior and he will grow. Remember he has no mentor as a QB. As for Carlson and Rudolph, when you have that good #1, the safeties have to respect them so they must follow them or at least respect a QB who is looking there way, so the tight ends become better. Yes to answer your question, some QBs are just great, but some do need a decent supporting cast and more experience.

Mark my words, Ponder will be a strong, competitive QB once he is more comfortable in the system. It takes time to develop a franchise QB. I just saw a highlight reel that shows he can make the throws, all of them. He has a strong arm, when he plants and throws. He has to understand that and he will learn that in time. REMEMBER HE IS STILL YOUNG AND PROVED EARLY THAT HE HAS THE TOOLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL...HE PROVED THAT....NOW HE HAS TO BE CONSISTENT.
