I don't like being a bandwagon person, but....I have to take issue with this "Give him more time" mentality. Been hearing it for years from our fans. It has become nails on a chalkboard for me. I understand certain things take time for developing. And I don't subscribe to the "I need instant results or I call for heads to roll" mentality. But how much do you need to see? Some people will run a bad idea into the ground at the expense of prudent conclusions. I don't like hearing our fans do it, but I'm more concerned that our organization does it. Sometimes there are simply no better alternatives, I understand. But this team HAS to stop making decisions this way. We seem to have a laundry list of excuses waiting for our failing projects, and it is SORRY to witness as a die-hard fan. No one wants to invest in an idea and fall short, and this sport is filled with pridefull people. The time has come for a warden to step into our organization and disrupt the "Give him more time" way of doing business.

Fans who suggest a change are accused of not having purple pride. That's like saying I have no pride in my car because I want to change my flat tire. I DON'T need to give my flat tire "more time".

realviking----a team with no leaders?????? What about AP, Sully, Kalil, Smith, Allen, B-Rob, Greenway......need I say more. I think you point is that we don't have a QB that shows that killer attitude that the Vet QBs have....but understand...that is developing as well. So I think it is not really an accurate picture of the team. Even the coach staff has vastly improved with the addition of Williams. Every aspect of this team is growing and developing, but it is not going to happen overnight.

Fellow fans--commit this to memory...it is always darkest before the dawn. It may take some time, it will take some work and it will take some patience, but in the end you fans will be rewarded with what you desire the most...The Lombardi Trophy.....I have faith in this staff..team, our QB and ownership that they will put team on the field that will give us a reason to have pride in Minnesota Pro Sports. Again, all long term franchise QB's take time to develop and they make the same mistakes over and over again early in their careers, but the learn in time and then their careers take off. Someone said earlier in this blog, you see great throws from Ponder in all his drives, but then he makes a mistake, that says he has talent but needs to refine his decision making at this level. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but ultimately it is not our decision. Our decision is to support our team or not....and I will support them no matter their decisions. I am a Viking Fan and will be for life......

Our rookie picks will be in a bad position because they're coming to a team without leaders lets say we draft a guard who will he have to teach him theropes playing guard on the NFL.
When we drafted Sullivan he had Matt Birk who was great as a mentor.
We draft Loadholt and he's a starter before he even signs the contract.
Lets say we draft is receiver what very will he have as a mentor. Harvin is still trying to learn the game and Jenkins was never successful.

We drafted J Rob and he has Winfield here to help him get through the learning curve.

AP was ranked amongst the greatest backs to play this game but he still had a good back as his mentor.

Every team rebuilds but smart teams know how to rebuild.

When the Packers lost Favre they was rebuilding but it didn't even seem like it because they knew what they were doing.

Colts lose Manning they are also rebuilding but i can't tell.

The list goes on I've watched the patriots rebuild but still remained a great team. The peoples running the Vikings don't know how to rebuild.

A plan to rebuild through the draft only Errol take to long because there are to many positions to fill and rookies aren't proven at this level. Smart teams rebuild through the draft, and free agency but the Vikings aren't interested in spending money on young proven players.

Honestly when a team draft players, the 1st and 2nd rounder will get on the field rather they suck or not, 3rd round picks have potential to one day start our get play time. After that the other rounds are basically fighting for a roster spot so if were gonna sit around and wait for the draft then we have a long way to go.

Randy Moss was the same way, very outspoken and did some things that made us cringe!! The difference here is the coach, one being able to control his players (Dennis Green) who knew how to delegate other players to mentor guys like Moss, see Cris Carter!! Percy doesn't have that veteran presence on this team and coach Fraziers' personality being stoic just doesn't work for a guy like Percy!!!

If the Vikings trade Harvin the only message they would be sending is they don't want to win. For all that then they should've traded everybody instead of firing chilly.

Honestly I would take a break from this team and spend more time with the family because this is the worst I've ever seen our organization. Sometimes I ask myself why am I spending money to be disappointed.

The Minnesota Vikings will never win a championship without passionate people on their team, period!!!

I am against Harvins attitude but I believe that these players act like this because they never had a vocal leader without attitude.

I liked when we got Favre but honestly I blame him. Thus guy was great but he showed or players that they don't have to listen to the coach. How many times did Favre disagree with Childress and did what he want.

When you have young guys looking up to these players who are the leaders is they had a negative attitude then the young guys will have that same attitude when he becomes a leader.

Look at the Rams they went out and got Finnegen who has always been a trash talker, dirty player and now the whole defense plays like him.

If you bring a virus to your team and let it run the team then everyone will be viruses.

The Vikings don't have a true leader these players were drafted and handed leadership roles for there position they didn't have a positive outspoken vet to look up to that's why they don't have a clue what a leader is suppose to do.
