One gadget play could be Ponder tossing the ball to Webb in the backfield.

I DONT KNOW WHY I WATCH THESE GAMES JUST TO GET FRUSTRATED WITH THE BAD PLAY AND HORRIBLE COACHING….At least we held them to a FG. Now if Ponder doesnt put a drive together you bench him and give the Vikings a chance to win. Put Allen in as QB for all I care anything has got to be better than 3 and out Ponder.

These guys have no fire in their bellies. I really think it’s as simple as that. They can say all the right things in an interview, but when it comes to the game, they have no fire. We’ve seen how well they play when they are fired up, and we see what is happening today.

Jones failed to see the Simpson play, but they said he ran a good route, and on the replay it looked like Ponder had no real opportunity to get the b@ll to him.
JoneDogg thinks that the young man, Simpson, can be a standout for the Vikings.
Did they show Simpson wide open on that play? Did he out an out drop a well thrown b@ll?

Bob Griese made All-Pro with the 1970s Dolphins by being a game manager. But he had the only team with two 1000 yard rushers in history.
Ponder may be able to open things up in the second half. The Vikings defense has some momentum, and they are using Everson Griffen.

We still need to block better for the p@ssing game, or throw some timing routes.
What happened to crossing patterns. Percy Harvin is the only one I have seen catch one this season, and it didn’t happen often.
Rodgers throws some timing routes. That is the only way Jones thinks they will beat the Vikings today.
Talk about holding the ball too long…Rodgers holds it longer than a 6th grader in a pickup game. He won’t get away with that today. But he could throw timing routes.

I hope AP does not break anymore 82 yard runs. It hurts Ponders ability to get passing yards. Since efficiency or the score does not matter hopefully in the second half we will throw 50 times like the Colts are currently doing because it appears passing yards is the most important metric!!!!

All FSU QBS are lame ducks in the NFL. Ponder is no exception. Under average in college and the worst QB in the NFL. Should we even pay a QB that throws for under 60 yrds a game? I mean if I was Ponder I would have a hard time cashing a check when all the work I do is harmful to the team paying me.

True Vikes Fan – I watched the NFL morning show and they said when Denver grabbed manning who would he throw it too? They have no great WR’s….The QB makes the WR’s good/great…Unfortunately we dont have even an average QB. Just like when tjack was the QB (we had no receivers than remember, thats why we lost the first round) next year we bring in Favre and go to the NFC Championship with all the talk about Sydney Rice being so great…Wasnt so good when Tjack was there….coincidence or fact QB makes a WR look good.

I am not saying we dont need WR’s our WR’s stink up anyplace. But if we had a QB that knew how to throw the ball they would look a bit better. Overthrows, Underthrows, Ints thats all Ponder does. I too would have benched Ponder after the 1st half, but you guys have to understand that he has no one to throw to….no one is getting any separation. Without Harvin, we have no ” to go to guy”. Rudolph doesn’t have the speed. They need to go out and find some receivers that can get some separation from the defenders. It did make me mad when the commentators said that we hadn’t had any outside threat since Randy Moss…..what about Sydney Rice?
