The Vikings have an opportunity, and this game will determine the rest of the season. If the Vikings win they move into second place in the Division, which would keep us in the running for a wildcard seed. The hunt for the wildcard seeds in the NFC consists of the following: Vikings, Bears, Seahawks, Buccaneers, Saints, and the Redskins. We've lost to the Seahawks, Buccaneers, and the Redskins so we've got to finish with a better record.

The Bears are vulnerable and are still sore from their recent spankings. Cutler is likely going to play on Sunday, but will play a cautious game. We've got to get after him early in the game and shake his confidence. Cutler is a kid who gains confidence and momentum through small victories, but is easily discouraged. Sack him twice in the Bears first offensive series and you'll crush his spirits for the first half.

We've also got to shut down Hester both on offense and on special teams. Hester can change the momentum of a game very quickly.

Running the ball is a significant part of the Bear's offense and Forte is going to run the ball. He's probably going to have some success, but we've got to contain him and shut down the running game.

Our offense has to be efficient. We've got to spread the ball around to Peterson, Gerhart, Harvin, Rudolph, Wright, & Simpson. Don't make the mistake adopting a simplistic game plan and just hand the ball to Peterson. That's not going to work any better than, "throw the ball to Moss" did. Spread out the offensive plays and keep the Bears guessing.

We've got to win the turnover battle, and our defense is going to have to step up their game. Our secondary must improve, and we cannot give up big plays. A defensive score early in the game will knock the wind out of the Bears.

We've got to manage field position and play most of the game on the Bears side of the field. We've also got to control the clock and be wary of the Bears hurry up offense (2 minute drill).

If we can bring our A game, then we can win this game.
