CHICAGO 7-2
GREEN BAY 6-3
VIKINGS 6-4

CHICAGO PIERDE CON SFCO 7-3

VIKINGS 6-4 AT CHICAGO 7-3 <---- THIS GAME ... ONE THE MOST IMPORTAN OF THE SEASON

It was great to see Wright make a big play and have a TD, but honestly, my guess is that he's still not NFL ready. If he was he would have been activated before this week. We caught Detroit off guard with the big pass play to him but after that they adjusted. We want to blame the coaches that they didn't adjust, when it might just be the reality that Wright isn't good enough to make plays when he's well guarded. He's definitely not as strong as Harvin.

I hope Wright turns out to be great but he's not a great deep threat because he's not tall enough. He's a slot receiver like Harvin and unless you want to run quick slants all day, having both of those guys on the field doesn't help us get the ball down field.

Great win from the Vikes! I like our team and where we are heading. We could be the Cowboys, Eagles, Pathers and a host of other teams that are supposed to be good and are underachieving. Look at those teams, they have talent but no chemistry or coaching. We are overachieving with a young team that is going to have some ups and downs.

Did anyone watch the Bears game last night. The Texans kept Cutler inside the pocket the whole game. Cutler can be average when he can't improvise. When Cutler did run, it was up the middle. Does anyone find it ironic that a QB can be declared a runner (by being flagged for passing past the line of scrimmage) and the opposing team can AT THE SAME TIME be flagged for hitting him high? I hope our coaches get a good defensive plan in place as well. We can win this one against the Bears.

Gret win for the vikings. But what I am about to say shows how ineffective the OC for the vikings is? Wright was on fire in the first quarter. Where was he the rest of the game? IT IS CALLED ADJUSTMENT. The lions adjusted and the vikings did not. Come on. The vikings would be a whole lot better if the OC was gotten rid of. Please in the future games learn something that all the other teams do. ADJUST, ADJUST. Musgrave being the OC for the vikings a HUGE, HUGE mistake.

i heard that the coaches, when the players were in practice was playing tapes of the games that they were winning to show them that they could win. I think they need to show the minnesota/san fran game over and over again. for the next 3 weeks. To let the defense and offense know that they can not only hang with the best teams but beat the best teams. And if AP can run wild both harvin and wright play along with the supporting cast on offense. the oline holds up. And the d fense play as hard as they did in the san fran game. and arizona game. then we will do just fine the next five games. But it starts at the top from the coaches to the players. also it wouldn't hurt to watch ray lewis a football life. We really need a leader like ray in the locker room. and i believe it will come soon.

Great win and a great team effort. I hope that musgrave reads these blogs. HEY MUSGRAVE!!!! Put Wright in. Listen to the fans. IF teams had a hard time dealing with harvin. What do you think they will do with harvin and wright and not to forget AP in the backfield. Ponder did good. He has to be and stay consistent. The bears and packers db's and safeties are better than the lions. their defense is twice as better as the lions. I have seen games where the bears and the packers have lost. and the vikings rolled into town and got stomped. let it all hang out for 60 minutes. you see what seattle did with the pass from golden tate to sidney rice. We have the same ability and talent. we can do the same thing. GO VIKS

Schizophrenic Viking fans - you gotta love em. It's either we're going to the playoffs or get rid of Ponder, Frazier and everybody else. I said it before and I'll say it again..MANAGE EXPECTATIONS. It's not wise to get too high or too low with this 2012 Vikings team.

Our record shows that we've made solid progress this year, but we can still finish at 6-10, especially with 5 games left vs Bears, Packers and Texans. As I said back in Aug, I would be satisfied with 7-9, happy at 8-8 and ecstatic at 9-7 this year given the team's youth, our schedule and the division we play in. We'll see just how much progress at the end of the year, so I would caution everyone to refrain from being overly optimistic or critical. I'm not sold on Spielman, Frazier, or Ponder, but to be fair, you have to give a coach and core group of players at least 3 years to prove to the fans what they could do, so the jury is still out as far as I'm concerned.

Right now, my biggest concern is not Ponder, but the defense. Our offensive game plan doesn't ask much of Ponder (right now), but if we can't play better defense, the QB play won't matter much on Soldier or Lambeau field in terms of wins/losses. Great offense is nice to watch, but defense wins you games, especially on the road. The difference between 6-10 and 9-7 is defense, not Ponder.

So let's be patient, keep some cold ones on hand during the game and try to enjoy the rest of the season.
