Trading Percy Harvin would be a huge mistake at this point in the teams rebuilding effort. Like it or not, he is an integral part of the chemistry of this team and its clear he neither wants to be traded nor is it certain that his team feels that he is a detriment where a trade would be justified.
In the games that I’ve seen this man play, it is clear that PH has no problem sacrificing his body for the win; and the fact that he does most of his damage from the slot position says a lot about his fearlessness. We all know that good slot receivers are a rarity, so in this case the Viking Organization should just pay this guy and reward him for his service now and in the future. His personality speaks to his commitment and it would be wise for the GM and Coaches to recognize it or this team is doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Besides, Percy Harvin is a Viking and he should be recognized as one, then we can all just move on!

I think Honourable mentions for PB this year should also include Matt Kalil ( and ROOKIE candidate ) as well as John Sullivan ………..Sullivan has assumed a crucial starting position with a high bar having adrian as his starting RB …………some of his lead blocks on sunday were exceptional ! Its always nice when u dont even think about CENTER ……….hes solid i think …… seamless almost …….just watch some of APs runs vs seahawks hes good ……..

What about Antoine and chad greenway ………..Chad is so under appreciated within the organization as well as NFL media …..the guy is always up there for tackles and he is pretty solid in pass defence ……just my opinion

If a QB does not have any receivers to throw to and an OL that gives the QB about 2 seconds what is there to expect? A miracle? THIS IS A FACT. If any QB in the league is harrassed they will become very average. In the last 4 weeks tell me a series in which Ponder was not harrassed? You cannot count when the vikings defense is playing.

This sums up my feelings perfectly. Well said David!

Hey, here is a smart thing that musgrave should pick up. Feed the hot man. AP was in beast mode and could have had as many yards as doug martin. Stop getting away from what was working. Peterson was hot and musgrave cooled him down. As you could see the seahawk defense could not stop him. please play both webb and ponder. every body knows that ponder does this: look for harvin. bubble screen. then roll out right and try to find rudolph. everybody has picked up on that. Here is something new. Put both qb’s in and throw it deep. because the defenses know our schemes. mix it up. I like coach frazier but he has got to put off the tony dungy demeanor and put on the dennis green demeanor. “THey are who we thought they were”

Ponder and Frazier don’t strike me as being fiery guys!! Frazier is a very stoic type of a coach and Ponder, well, he just looks lost at times, but then again he’s only in his 2nd year!! I hate that old NFL analogy, you can’t make a change at QB, you’ll break the young man’s confidence!!! Rubbish, its about competition, performing well and winning!! There’s nothing wrong with letting a young man know, there’s something missing in your game and you need to sit and watch the next guy play!! Maybe that would fire him up!!!!

If the Vikes end up 8-8 or better, there’s no way they make a coaching change!! That’s a 5 game turn around!! A scenario I would like to see, would be that Philly fires Andy Reid and the Vikes hire him as the OC, that is if no one offers him a head coaching job!! Fire Musgrave, he’s just not that good as an OC!!!

The thing that bugs me is Frazier’s attitude with not having more young players in this line up…Frazier has this thing about having “verterans” in the line up, to mentor his young players…

Note to Frazier…

Besides Allen and Winfield…Fraziers “veteran mentors” are the ones “underacheiving”…Not the young players or rookies..

So why are you using “underacheiving veterans” again Frazier ???..

To set a BAD example for our young players ???…

C’mon Frazier !!!…Sit Jenkins,Aromashudo, C Johnson, etc…And play more young players…And have the young players set their own example of accountability…

And please get rid of Musgrave, in your spare time… : /

It’s just another rebuilding year. Back to evaluating talent. Get a real coach by next year and a real qb.
