Vikings Arrive At CenturyLink Field

Posted by Mike Wobschall on November 4, 2012 – 12:44 pm

The Vikings have arrived at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and are settling into the beautiful stadium for today’s showdown with the Seahawks. It is a standard autumn afternoon here in Seattle, with cloudy skies, a chance for rain in the forecast and moderate temperatures. Great conditions for NFL football.

Kickoff for today’s game is slated for 3:05 p.m. CT and it will be televised by FOX, with Chris Myers (play-by-play) and Tim Ryan (analyst) calling the action and Jamie Maggio handling sideline reporting duties.

But Vikings football begins before kickoff, and you have a chance to check it out. The Vikings Radio Network pre-game show, hosted by Mike Mussman, begins at 11:00 a.m. CT and features a variety of guests, including yours truly about 40 minutes prior to kickoff. Once kickoff arrives, you can stay with the radio network to catch the game, with Paul Allen calling the game and Pete Bercich analyzing it. Greg Coleman will handle sideline reporting duties.

And of course once the game begins, you can join us on vikings.com for the live game chat. This is the page on which the chat will be hosted. I will conduct today’s chat from the Vikings Radio Network booth, sandwiched between PA and Bercich. Along with answering your questions and providing analysis, I’ll include comments from both PA and Bercich to complement the chat.

A lot going on today, and we’re glad you’re here to take it all in.

This will be a big test for the offense with all the croud noise in Seattle. Can Ponder handle it?? He needs to come out strong. A slow start today and we are doomed.

Vikes have thrown in the towel short-term on Carlson. Look for Allen Reisner to see action today. This is all the TE we needed to start with anyway

Start the game with play action to AP and throw a bomb to Simpson! Touchdown city!!! What do you bet they run it on 1st and 2nd down and then 3rd and long and …PUNT!!! Musgrave ,you need to get aggresive right out of the gate in these games!!! Throw the ball on 1st down!! Throw the ball long!!

This will be an easy and decisive win for the Vikes. At least a 13 point margin.

    Lol.

The “Countdown” clock forgot about Daylights Saving time. It says “49min” till kickoff. Should be 1hr and 49min.

I know in football you like to be able to come out and get your running game going but on the road in this loud stadium i would come out throwing the ball down the field, hit a big play or 2 and quite the croud a bit.Special teams better be huge for us today.

They have a really good team with a rookie QB. Can the defense come up with a few TOs today? A pick 6 would be big today!!! Im calling it, tip ball, pick 6 by the defense!!

Remember there is no love loss between these 2 teams. With the Steve Hutchinson deal, then Nate Burleson and most recently Sidney Rice. This is going to be a hard fought football game!!!

Yawn. Getting ready for my afternoon nap since our oc couldn’t call a winning popwarner football game. They do need to keep the seahawks honest and throw deep a few times (inbounds and without an int). Let’s make it 3-0 against the nfc west today!

PA, I will start things off with a question for you. Can our offensive line handle all the noise and play a clean game penalty wise?? False starts can lead to 3 and outs and that is something we cannot have in todays game. Thanks, JE. Luverne, MN.
