This game comes down to 2 things……

1. Can Ponder show some grit and lead this team against a tough “D” in their house!

2. Can our “D” stop the run without getting burned in the secondary?!

I feel like this game is a must win for acouple of reasons……….

1. I think the lions team we will face next week is a different Lions team that we beat already!

2. Confidence! We win this game…I think we beat the lions and go into the bye week with CONFIDENCE. We get some rest and come out of the bye with the engine going…….lose this game today….I believe that we lose next week and this season starts to get fugly real quick!

If our ineffective Offensive Line can somewhere/somehow try to protect Ponder and give him time to throw it just might work. IF, they can pick up blitzes, it just might work. I have not seen any of this the last 3 games!!!! Ponder has been literally "running for his life". Yes, he has made some mistakes, but at least last week he threw some out-of-bounds when he couldnt get away from the Bucs defense. If the QB doesnt have time to set and throw, or his WR's or TE's arent open what is he to do? Yes, he can run the ball, but lately, that hasnt worked for much yardage either. If we can't stop Lynch and contain Rice, I just dont know if we will be able to win this game as much as I hope we can. They arent doing well in protecting the 10-15 yd. gains in the middle either. This has been a HUGE problem for several games. Look what RG3 did to us on several plays, and look what Freeman did as well. Those chunks of yardage add up very quickly and they got down and scored most times doing this. Hope game will improve today. We have a long road to travel after this and it would be nice to go into that phase with a win today.

Ill be in one of the endzones waiting to see the purple work there way into it which they should do plenty of. Minnesota matchs up well with Seattle. I expect a lot of big plays from the offense and special teams. This game will come down to who hits gets the most.

I do think that the coaching staff that we have is going to have to change if we are going to take things to the next level. I have said this numerous times last year that we never seem to be able to attract some of the top coaches in the game with the proven track records. That is probably because we do not want to pay them and so we take a chance on a quarterback coach like Musgrave and we hope he becomes a great offensive coordinator. The same formula could be applied to our defensive coordinator and our head coach, we hope they can do the job.

Alex....Musgrave being predictable is not winning games. We beat the 49ers playing smart football and good D. We beat the lions with our special teams and good D. We beat Jacksonville with Peterson and decent D. Musgrave doesn't fit in any of the winning formulas. His pitiful excuse of "coordinating the offense" is hidden by the overall talent of our team. Rudolph is a top 5 TE in the next 2 seasons. He can catch, he can block, and he can break tackles. Harvin speaks for himself. Peterson is returning to his old form. Our D-line is playing exceptional even though they see more of the playing time then our offense does. I like Frazier. Hes a guy the team can rally around and they seem to enjoy him as head coach. Alan Williams is filling his role nicely. Special teams is playing stellar. Musgrave is the only one that just doesnt seem to be doing his job very well. Our passing offense should be better than 27th. There's no excuse. We should be using Simpson more often. Aromashadu is better than he seems. We need to spread the ball around. More importantly we need a new offensive scheme/playbook. The plays look shotty and our receivers cant get open. I feel like musgrave calls 5 plays for every game. Think about what you said. Who wins championships being predictable? The Saints beat us in 09. How did they do that? Oh...that's right, by being unpredictable and going for that onside kick.
