Peterson Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Posted by on October 24, 2012 – 8:41 amVikings RB Adrian Peterson ran for 153 yards and 1 TD on 23 carries against the Arizona Cardinals last week. That performance was good enough to earn him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Randall Liu, the NFL’s Director of NFC Football Communications, announced via Twitter on Wednesday that Peterson was selected for the honor.
This is the 6th time Peterson has earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Lower the players not going full out to 10 dollars an hour like everybody else for a day and see if they get a little more motivated! Here’s your 200 dollar pay check for the day, instead of 200,000 or 2 million! like they usually get paid!

Richard, good idea. Better yet, get paid for performance only– don’t do your job, no pay. A touchdown — all offensive players on that drive get paid.
By Muskyfever on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
I like it Titus, a turn over all Defensive players get paid, big run back from special teams or a long field goal, they get paid. Turn the ball over on O and you lose 1/4 of your pay from you TD pay. I could go on forever… We could make this work…
By Muskyfever on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
Congrats AP, glad he got the NFC player of the week. Lets repeat ALL DAY!!!!!
By Parkway on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
Then maybe they would actually play with a sense of urgency to score as many touchdowns as they can in the game.
By Muskyfever on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
OOOO you gotta add in the pay 4 play contract that Musgrave can also only get paid if they score, not just the players… Then maybe…just maybe he would start calling some less predictable plays
By Titus Flavius Caesar Vespasianus Augustus on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
Musgrave should get no pay if more than 40% of the scoring is done by the D and special teams.
By Parkway on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
That’s a good one. And no pay if over 40% of our offensive scoring is from field goals.
By Parkway on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
That was a waste of time watching the Pick 6 vid. If I put it on mute, and came up with the most generic PR related responses I could think of I would have been dead on with the responses. Except I think we SHOULD trade Toby finally.
If he really could be a starter on half the other NFL teams, and we could get a 2nd round or maybe more out of him, then DO IT. He sits on the sideline 99 percent of games when we could get a valuable piece to our team elsewhere. Lets face it, if AP goes down, we aren’t going anywhere with a backup RB even if it is Toby at this point.
By Muskyfever on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
field goals pay special teams only, no Offensive players get paid on field goals. And neither does musgrave, only the special teams coach gets paid.
Frazier – I think we have a new way to modivate your guys…..!
By Muskyfever on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
I guess it’s too bad that these guys already get “paid for Performance” they ahve their regular game check and then they get game bonuses based on performance.. but still get their check if they do not perform.. so maybe we just start taking chunks when they do something stupid
By BlueBird7 on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
Still can not say “M-i-t-c-h-e-l-l here.
Anyway you get the idea. I suggest to Frazier, do not use Backup guy listed above on your Kickoff Return Special Team.. Do not want another Percy Harvin
kickoff return thrown out. Use Larry Dean. the othet BU Linebacker.
Also agree with above comments. Dock the pay of players like Marvin.
By demflyboyz on Oct 24, 2012 | Reply
I think our Defense when shut Jackson and the other reciever down… againts elite recieevers this year chris cook has limited them to less that 50yards a game… I think we will get another 7 sacks againts the buccanners,
My predictions is here
Christian Ponder – 26-37 410 yards 5 tds 1interception
Adrian peterson 25 carries for 143 yards 2 td’s
Percy harvin 12 receptions 148 yards 1 td reception and (1 rushing or return)
Kyle Rudolph 6 receptions 76 yards 1td
Jerome simpson 7 receptions 126 yards 1 66-yard td reception
Jarius wright 5 catches for 66 yards 1td
Stephon burton 2 catches for 28 yard 1td

Ponder needs to get back on track…
The passing game is the only phase of the Vikings game that has improved very little since last season…
Mainly because of poor performance from the WR’s (outside of Harvin)…
Defense is much better…
Secondary has been very good…
Offensive line is doing much better…
LB’s are doing better as a whole…
Running game is doing fine…
Ponder has shown growth…But has been trying to do a little too much the past few games, making a few poor decisions, or holding onto the ball to long…Instead of throwing it out of bounds…Just some little things needed to get back on track going forward…
WR’s STINK !!!…(outside of Harvin of course)…What makes matters worse…
Why are there no CHANGES at WR the position ???
Simpson being out is no excuse !!!…
This offense needs to get going !!!…
The difficult half of the schedule is coming up after the Tampa Bay game…
Something needs to happen, to stretch the field on offense…And soon…

Well, I was not denying that there can be an advantage to not traveling on a short week– but I denied Wobbles limited and redundant responses which lacked any coherency or force– poor argument.
AND IN RESPONSE to your post– they said most teams flying lose– well DUH– they are the visiting team. To truly study this, there needs a lot more analysis. I stick with my original point– these are professionals who travel for half their games every season. Any advantage should be moot– they said the Giants won as an exception– no, they won cause they were the better team, Period.
