I don’t even know why there is an article about a game in London in 2013 when there is a game on now in Washington. Save this article for midweek when news is slow. I am available for consulting– I am a world-class professional writer, marketing guru, educator, and entrepreneur.

This game is just another case in point of how ridiculous this team is managed, when we play with a sense of urgency, we score. When we don’t, we don’t score. So how about play that way the entire game instead of just when we are down? It’s pathetic

    @vikingfan,

Yes, this is a young team and they will hopefully figure out how to be more consistent.

Mainly, we need to figure out how to score in the red zone. Could it be the offensive
    line? Ya think?

Perhaps we should put Schwartz in the game on occasion?
    Ya thing?

Oh, well, it’s tough to win on the road in the NFL. Let’s make darn sure we win the next two games which are at HOME!!!

At least the Cowgirls lost! Can’t stand that team.
49ers seem to be a little overrated.
    Lions saved their season today.
Can Seattle really be better than average? I am still not impressed with their offense.
The Ponder INT that former Viking M. Williams picked off was a horrible throw.
Did Ponder get hit while he was throwing? Not a good day today

I guess our only weakness is rookie quarterbacks. Oh well, forget about this game it wasnt our best effort. Lets put all the focus on the Cardinals, and would somebody please Pay Percy!

Vikings had 2 big things going against them today…Skins had home field advantage…And Vikings do not play well on grass fields…They are getting a little better on grass…But still need plenty of work there…

Plus the home team was getting away with some holding…One referee was very chummy with RG3…I thought he might even ask him out on a date after the game ??…

All things considered…Vikings played tough…And the
    Vikings stayed pretty healthy…

And a young team learned some things today…

And maybe Spielman is learning…This team isn’t going anywhere this season…Without a DEEP threat…

    On to next week…

  22. By NCBCoach on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Hmmm…..we finally get a stadium bill passed and then we’re giving up a home game while still playing at the Metrodome. At least do it when we’re at TCF. We are even going to be better next year…..why give up home field? Not happy.

  23. By Titus Flavius Caesar Vespasianus Augustus on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Not a bad game– we played hard at the end and was close to coming back. At 4-2, this is a huge improvement over last year. Let’s support the team– they played hard and I am proud of our team. After next week, we should be 5-2.

  24. By RichardA1 on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

They had the Redskins butts whooped then they let them get back in the game! 5 penalties, way to much. Turnovers, fumbles, turnovers, you can’t win with that going on. They had em beat then seen they can and just stopped and got there butts whooped!

  25. By 32frank12 on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Yeah no kidding Titus everyone is getting all bent out of shape. first off the refs did not seem like they wanted the Vikes to win some very big blown calls out there. second made a big mental stake at the end with RG3 if we would have stopped him there i think we would have won but yeah we need to convert with TDs earlier in the game. 3rd this team never plays good on grass but we were dwon by 20 pts with 10 mins left on the road with the skins crowd rocking the stadium and we come this close to winning. Last year this team would have gave up and not even try fighting back but look we fought back. We got to remember this team is young they will make mistakes which we did today but we will move on and learn from this game. Now we got 2 home games that are very winnable we could be 6-2 calm down fans

  26. By Frederick Jones on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

    Effort was not a problem.

The learning curve of the offensive line, and defensive halfbacks must continue to rise.

Play Schwartz, and get Simpson back into the lineup.

Start Everson Griffen at DE over Robison.

Win the next home game versus the Arizona Cardinals.

  27. By Parkway on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Ponder’s accuracy was terrible today let’s not lie. Musgrave’s play calling was uninspired as usual. We don’t play with a sense of urgency until it’s too late.

  28. By 32frank12 on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

@ Fred…i really think this team will be just fine, it really hurt not having Simpson out there to take some pressure off us, I think if we win next week we will right back track

  29. By Frederick Jones on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Why were there gaping holes in the defensive line?

If you play Griffen, they have less options because he can put consistent pressure
on the quarterback. Then the DTs can stay at home and prevent the run, or at least the 76 yarders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @32,

I agree with you, but it’s a long season. The Vikings must be able to play well without some of their starters.

We rotate our DLs. Why not our OLs? Some of those guys are over-matched.

We did have an RB SACK of A.D. late in the game? That is usually the OLs fault. What happened on that play?

Jones suggests that if we rotate OLs, by the end of the season we might have 5 guys who can play OL in the NFL. Right now we have about 2-3.

  31. By Frederick Jones on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

    @Parkway,

We are supposed to be a running team, but it did not work. We have to be prepared for when the run will not work.

Hey, how about mixing the run with the p@ss? I know it’s a novel approach, but gee wiz Mom, let’s try it!!!

  32. By Frederick Jones on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

I would like to see A.D. flare for p@sses more, but maybe they can’t because of the OL failing to block well enough.

It’s to late to switch to the Pro Set Offense, ala Chuck Foreman and Ricky Young/Ed Marinaro.

    Interesting.

GB throws it into the end zone
    and gets TDs.

Once they get to the 20 or 30 they start attacking the end zone. Ponder always talks about how the safeties are playing the Vikes deep, sounds like BS to me, the Packers throw it on almost every down and yet their WRs are constantly getting open in single coverage for TDs.

If the safeties are playing the Vikes deep, how are they also stacking the line against AP? After the first quarter the Redskins refused to let AP beat them and then all they did for 2.5 more quarters was check it down and slam AP into the line.

  50. By Parkway on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Come on T Flave, playing only one quarter doesn’t count for much (Ask Tebow)

Although they gave the game away, we did should some will to win, battling back Vikes need a deep threat, they can’t be giving the ball to Harvin every time, it inhuman! some of those players are not giving it there 100% effort, we could be alot better if they applied themselfs instead of watching Harvin, A.P. give it there all.

So much so…How many players will actually stick with the team from the 2013 spring draft…With having a very solid young group of players right now ???…

Could the Vikings trade a few draft picks…And get a solid young WR to help this team out yet this season ???…

Vikings have 9 picks coming for sure right now…In this coming springs draft…

Why not see, what a 1-5 Kansas City team would need…To trade Bowe too the Vikings…

Is that an option Spielman may check into ???…

I didn’t expect much this year and with the lack of talented WR’s I still don’t have high expectations however I feel that the people in charge of this team will fit in the couple of missing pieces to this puzzle by the 2013 season and we should be able to contend for years to come. This team has shown heart in some tough situations they let 1 slip away today so be it to all those saying Ponder sucks maybe you should study the game of football and understand it before you start spouting your mouths off where were you blow hards last week?
