Predicting a loss here. Vikings take a 2 point lead into the final 2 minutes of the game and RG3 starts at the 20, with no time outs, drives 50 yards in 30 seconds, and Redskins kick a FG to take the one point lead.

Redskins kick off and the Vikings start at their own 40 with all 3 time outs.

OC calls a run play up the middle for no gain. OC calls another run play, this time a sweep by Toby, and he gains 3 yards. CP drops back to pass and completes a 3 yard bomb to Jenkins. 4th and long, CP drops back to throw and its a pick 6 and the Vikes lose.

(Gee, I have a sense of déjà vu here)

    Carry on

This is not good news for the Vikings this week! We need all the recievers that we can get on the field because AP can’t carry the team all day(even though he would like to). We need more targets for Christian Ponder.

  4. By Parkway on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Not great news but in all reality he hasn’t contributed much other than maybe a bit of a decoy so shouldn’t make much of a difference I guess

More targets for Ponder? Harvin has the most all purpose yards in the league. Rudolph is a stud and is a HUGE asset to the Vikings. Peterson will always be on beast mode. We will be just fine today. Vikings walk away with a win 27-13.

  8. By Matt Snyder on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Even though Simpson is out, he was not a major factor last week against the Titans. Jenkins is capable of filling his spot, and Ponder still has Rudolph and Harvin for targets. And don’t forget Aromashadu is also a deep threat.

To those who have yet to figure it out:
Simpson was injured during his pregame antics last week, NOT in his sleep the night before. Personally I find these antics stupid and selfish, and can ONLY end badly as evidenced by where he now sits. SHOWING OFF is classless…..
He is being protected by the team/coaches which serve two purposes….

1.) That the Vikings have his back know matter what, and this is the place he wants to be going forward past his one year contract….

    2. To keep the wolves/press off his doorstep forcing him to defend the indefensible and possibly backsliding into a self destructive mode of behavior…

END RESULT: Young man learns a VERY valuable lesson and becomes more of a true professional, as well as a highly contributing VIKING for life….

Our play calling makes me sick for the most part. Take last series…on first down we line up with toby split wide and a tight formation with percy in the backfield. They have been stacking the box for a majority of the game and obviously with no threat of a receiver in the game they know what is coming. Result is a 1 yd run, no surprise. So on second down what is called? They have one receiver (Jenkins) split wide and another tight formation with ap in the backfield. Again, they have been stacking the box most of the game and do so again, obviously thinking run as is everyone else in the world. Result is a run for no gain. I understand that the run game is our strength but honestly, we need to get more creative and let Ponder make some plays if we want to win. They can’t always assume that the defense is going to pitch a near shutout and ap can carry us to a win.

Well stated. The play calling is “questionable” at best.

I have absolutely no concern when we play. I wish I could look forward to a good, tough game, but today’s game is confirming what many of us already know about the vikings.

  142. By Wisconsin Vikes FAn on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

Exactly, if only we would have done that earlier in the game rather than when we needed to do it to have a chance. If they would have had this aggressive approach earlier in the game maybe they would have converted one of more of the red zone attempts into touchdowns and they would be winning right now. The good news is though, we have fought back again and have given ourselves a chance. All you need is a chance.

we needed to take the 15 yard penalty and level RG3 teach him to be afraid and not run …. instead we let him walk up and down the field….he isn’t a QB he is a hot shot and full of himself….if he wanted to run he should have been a RB not a QB

I notice their QB just ran 76 yards for a CRUCIAL TD to his side, that’s why I ask.

If you woulda said before the season we’d be 4-2 I would have called you an eternal optimist, so just take it. And we’re gonna be 6-2 as well so just relax this isn’t that big a deal. Move on and lets win next week

Bunch of Chumps on here who pat themselves on the back saying they “called it” when we win a few games, then start predicting 13 win season. Just relax morons, we are going in the right direction. Ap was limping, Percy was limping and no Jerome Simpson. Without those guys at 100% we are very beatable. 8 wins this season is a successful year. I can’t wait to her people calling for Frazier and Ponder’s heads. Just like they did with Childress. @#$%**@ idiots the whole bunch of you. I agree with Fran….this fan base is embarrassing. Get bent.

  189. By PackWhack on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

    @ jester

RG3 really took it to the vikes today, so hats off to him for MAKING PLAYS when it counted most. That 76 yard run was classic: seeing him rip through into the secondary and leaving the team in his dust. Classic play and just another one to add to the many many big plays that show vikings helplessly chasing an opponent into the endzone to watch him score

there’s a great game on now. GB is putting on a offense clinic against the so called top team in the nfl

i can’t wait till we play the vikings. Aaron is going to pick apart the pathetic secondary all game.

  190. By RichardA1 on Oct 14, 2012 | Reply

The RG3 and the Redskins are half as good as what we seen! We kicked there butts then we stopped and watched them turn it around. To many penalties, mistakes, you can’t play that way and expect to win, especially away from home!
Green Bay sucks, is that why you came to the Vikings site, so you can see how a real teams site looks?

Its funny because the Fudge Packers haven’t said a WORD on here for THREE WEEKS as we slammed 49ers Lions Titans while they were losing. Makes me think Packer fans are the reason there are so many terrible comments on here. Wow you won one game and we lost one so what? We are still ahead of you by how much? You all predicted 3/13 again. LOL. Please stop talking on here this is not a packers forum this is Vikings and out of respect, please stop taking dookies on forums that do not have anything to do with you.
