I don’t understand why nobody is talking about Mistral Raymond…………

C’mon, why isn’t J.Wright active? Stephen Burton has done nothing.

  5. By Spencer on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

Well at-least Ted Ginn and Brandon Jacobs are inactive.

  6. By mjbvikeme on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

Its burtons last week regardless. Does jefferson play due to NFC west familiarity?

  7. By Woodboat on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

Spencer…. you mispelled “ineffective” as “inactive”. Its okay, I mistype stuff all the tiiime… :)

I don’t really think they 9ers will miss Ginn or Jacobs much (unless Ginn is their return man, then maybe a bit).

Burton is a hard hitting, blocking type of WR. I have no problem having a guy like that out there, setting up the other guys and catching the occasional ball. Hines Ward made quite a career out of that play style…

  8. By Woodboat on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

I wouldn’t bet the farm that Burtons is the head on the chopping block, mjb. I haven’t heard that they are targeting a wr to release when Simpson gets back. They’ll keep their best 53…

  9. By mjbvikeme on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

I havent seen much out of Burton, besides td deflection catch. Seems like the logical choice, but true its just speculation.

  10. By mjbvikeme on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

I wouldnt bet the farm that Burton is in the same level as Hines Ward.

Paul Allen just stated Jarius Wright is nursing a high ankle sprain. Thought it was less severe?

  12. By sandiamond on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

The coaches continued to take a look at Wright in last preseason game on punts even after the sprain

Why does Buton duck…Instead of reaching up and grabbing that ball ??…

    Nice touch pass Ponder !!!!…

    greenwayyyyyyy

  21. By Spencer on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

That was smart of Burton to duck, he wasnt expecting the p a s s so if he would have got his hand up at the last second it would have been tipped up into the air and probably intercepted.

If our O Line can keep blocking for Peterson, there won’t be a let down.
    THE VIKINGS WILL WIN!!!

At least we can say we led the game for a while.

  25. By OTKalil2012 on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

Why wouldn’t Burton be expecting the ball ??…

  26. By Frederick Jones on Sep 23, 2012 | Reply

Sullivan and Fusco were blocking the same guy and a DT roars thru and knocks Ponder down.

We also had the 2nd Running Back sack of Peterson already early in the first quarter.
That is not the backs fault.

I wish I was wrong, but the O Line continues to be by far the worst part of the Vikings Offense, and perhaps the team.

As brutal as the Refs were. I gotta ask why the coaching staff went to Toby G. when he “fumbled” freaking twice in a row (legally) against a notoriously fumble ripping team. Why? You are up against the best team in the NFL in this regard. If he cannot handle it, why not get a play called with someone who can? Extremely disappointed in the coaching decision in this instance!! It is all on the head coach AND the offensive coordinator on this one. Coach him up!! Also, Gerhard’s attitude needs to be addressed. There is nothing remotely funny about you dropping the rock 3 TIMES IN A ROW you freaking LOSER !!
