Walsh Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
Posted by on September 12, 2012 – 8:26 amVikings rookie kicker Blair Walsh was rewarded for his stellar performance last Sunday by being named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Walsh was four of four on his field goal attempts Sunday, including the game-tying kick from 55 yards out as time expired to send the game to overtime; that field goal was the second longest in team history. He then connected with what turned out to be the game-winning 38-yard field goal on the Vikings first drive in overtime.

When will anybody be able to get an autographed picture of Blair Walsh in a Vikings uniform? Haven’t seen one anywhere! Kickers and punters are always neglected it seems. I hope the Vikes realize what a great kicker Blair is and will be down the road. He’ll be winning games for the Vikes all year long! Go Vikes!!!
