I like Ponder and think he could be our guy, but I’m worried they are gonna pull the plug on him. Do you think they are starting to lean towards Webb?

If Adrian Peterson’s injury is serious, it changes the whole draft picture for the Vikings. We must have a franchise running back, and the six-head VPs have proven they can draft RBs.

But we can’t trust them with the rest of the draft, and the trades/free agents.

I am almost certain after the game Webb had coming in to replace Ponder that it’s going to start a lot of questions, Frazier when asked if he felt he had a good backup QB in Webb or a possible starter in his presser already has showed signs of doubt himself.
I think Frazier needs to go also, I sure hope Peterson can be another miracle like we had with Henderson come back from his injury.

I was at the game yesterday, first, let me say I do like Ponder and think eventually he would be a pretty good QB, But I have to say after watching him yesterday, he seems gun shy and playing defensively. It sure looks to me like Joe Webb needs to be our guy right now. With Peterson out now, probably for half of next season, I think Webb gives us a bit more. Any body agree? thanks

Mike – Does a torn ACL for Peterson mean he will start next year on the PUP list? Do you think Gerhart and Webb are suitable options as starter or will the Vikings look to draft a RB and a QB.

Mike, I don’ t think you are a big fan of Joe Webb… But do you think he is playing well enough to get more playing time?

What is it about Joe Webb that relegates him to a career backup? He has delivered every time when given the chance. Now he has some experience and I think is the best QB on the roster at this time.

What’s Mr Frazier thinking. His bone haed decision to play AD and Ponder in a meaningless game is mind boggling. He lost a great oppoerunity to improve team by being in aposition to draft high atleast 2nd in 2012. His bone head decisions set the franchise back another couple of years, not to mention the value of the franchise. Where is his vision and strategy? His stone faced is not really being Bud Grant like, it is more of clueless personality.

    1) What is wrong with RB King, that you won’t try him?
    2)Arceneaux-6’2 211 lbs..Very good WR.
    3)Camarillo-6’2,200 lbs also very good..
    4)Rudolph,..6’6 259 lbs..Great TE…

Don’t need great pass catchers, already have them..

Frazier continues to confuse me…Why was Harvin running the ball off tackle…When you have AP healthy and Gerhart doing a good job this season in AP’s relief ???…Then your only solid WR gets hurt doing so…Why hasn’t Webb been signed too an extension ??…It is usually good for the coaching staff to understand a players talent at least a little bit before he showcases it all over the playing field for the world too see….Contract extensions are cheaper when the player is viewed more as a back up than a QB with solid starting potential…I agree with having your starters in their trying to win games…But why aren’t those starters from the rookie class and young players needing to be evaluated for next season ??…Hate to tell you Les…The season means nothing…Getting some younger players up to NFL game speed can mean a lot…Not to mention it would save wear and tear on some of your veteran players….And keep them from getting serious injuries in games that do not matter…Oops !!!…To late for that now I guess…Now you can start behind the eight ball again next season…AP might be on the shelf…Who’s next Frazier…Harvin ??…You almost did him in yesterday also ???….And all that hard work to lose draft position this spring ???…Frazier presents more questions to me lately than answers at head coach….Very frustrating for a fan…

What is the scoop with Cedric Griffin? Is he in Frazier’s dog house? Is he not 100% healthy? Can he still help this team? Any chance he moves to safety and works his way back to being a starter?

I think the Vikings should go a CB or WR in the draft with first pick because of the need for play makers on both sides of the ball on the outside , good o-line or d-line man are needed for good team butt need play makers more than o-line man in my view would be nice for Ponder or Webb to have a true number one WR throw to on the outside, like Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd if not a WR than there looks to some very good CB’s to draft to thats what I think

  32. By Bigfan1 on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

Joe Webb has repeatedly proven himself to lead this team to wins and Ponder needs experience so next year there will be competition for starting qb and right now I’d give it to Webb. Too bad about AP, I’ll say it again, there was nothing to be gained by playing AP for these last two games, water over the dam.

  33. By Twoodsnvikes on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

Anyone suggesting us getting a RB in the first round now is a moron. Even if Peterson never plays another down in his life, Gerhardt is mediocre enough to take over and build the other pieces of the team that are in much more dire need.

  34. By Twoodsnvikes on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

We’ll probably have between the 3rd and 5th pick, probably won’t be worth trading, never know, but if we don’t/cant, acceptable players will be: Claiborne, Blackmon, Reiff, Flloyd, Jeffrey. Flloyd and Jeffrey will be a reach at that spot

First overall would have been great as the bidding for that pick would have been very high as many in the league believe Luck is a franchise changer…but no player goes out to lose a game thinking that we will get a better pick next year…based on the season it was very viking like to win the most meaningless game of the year that potentially even hurt us more…

Whatever our 1st Draft Position is we need to draft the most Dynamic Player available on the Board. Whether that be OL – DL – DB – LB – WR, just not a QB. Draft needs after the pure studs are gone – game changers win games though. Just a note for Vikings Front office – OL can be game changers too!! If Denny Green were giving draft seminars, this would be the way of Master Green, Samurai Head Coach and GM!

First of all I think hitting peterson in the knees was as dirt a play as I’ve seen. Then the hit to ponder. I think the Red Skin front office owes the Vikings and the Vikings fans an apology. If they are men we will see it, if not you wont. Secondly we need to build this team around raw talent. Webb!! Will the vikings man up and do the right thing?

    @Jayson Child; Yes, I do!

As I have mentioned in the past, there is no NFL Rule I know of that prevents any team from playing TWO Quarterbacks in the same game..

Ponder 1st half..Webb 2nd half OR switch every other quarter…We have seen the problems this type of acton has caused the Defense on the emeny side of the field.

@Shawn; I see we both agree on RB King….He made some good ground in preseason play..I think Frazier lost those game tapes, along with his mind…

Losing on purpose is a cheat. Takingout starters so your team has less chance of victory is a cheat. Sure, Starters won’t get hurt, and two more losses to end the season on a very lownote in poor moral for next season. We’re pushing the theme of winning and whatever it takes in the rules of the gameto win ball games. All the other lauges would know what your doing by not playing 100%. Respect around the league matters too. You have other teams that have to finsih the season, giving it everything they’ve got. Vikings are not going to be pampered babies anymore! What about loss of self respect? I had to give les than I know I am capable of in order to get a better draft. Really? You want to be that guy?!Fighters do not quit. Losers do. You don’t lose a game by not giving it all you have, your true ability, you lose the game when you quit when the odds are against you and the ball bounces the other way. Make Them afraid to play against you! Winning season or no winning season. We have good people who have stepped up where the starters weren’t getting us there. I’m sorry Ponder n AP got hurt, but I am not sorry for all the back-ups and fellow starters who came in, took on the mantle and played! And played well. Sure get more drafts and replace the people who quit and cost others to get injured for nothaving a 100% team mentality. Without Peterson, you have runners. You have Webb. He is a runner, a catcher, a passer, a blocker, and guts. That is who you always want at quarterback! Let Ponder back up and learn from Webb! The coach isn’t perfect, but he isn’t stupid*

So we won a meaningles game huh? It wasn’t meaningless to the redskins, so much so they had to take cheap shots. The game against the bears won’t be meaningless to the bears will it? Should we just give these other teams the win so they can get to the bowl? Ok, if we aren’t going to win the superbowl shot we’re going home and quit until we are on top and its easier. Guys! Guys! Come on! Children play that way, not mature men. Why does Peterson have to take up the slack cause someone next to him can’t handle his own responsibilty as a player and a man? Your getting paid 100% to play a 100%. This is where there should be a game by game pay scale that gives you less if you play less than you play when your team is winning. Ponder needed to play. He needs the experince and he needs to be able to play in a winning season and in a losing season. You have to play these games hard all the way thru all four quarters. Ponder is not that guy. A true test of a quarterback is when the odds look impossible. Then you watch how he plays. Ponder is too afraid. He had a burst of flash but he has no strength. Webb has all the qualities already there and he is confident in his abilities and he is not afraid to use them in the face of adversity. It was a slap in the face to Webb when Donovan was hired and another slap when They gave the back-up position to Ponder, and then the starter shot.Webb is proving himself in regular season against teams that have needed wins, not in lite preseason games like Ponder. Webb has earned respect from his team mates and it is now past due that the coaching staff give him respect. He is pro bowl quality. Meaningless? Not by Any means. Look at what we learned and who stepped up and who lifts the team.

Please elevate Webb to the starting position beginning immediately! When you look at guys like Rodgers, Brady, Rothlisberger, Vick, Farve, and so on, they have/had an uncanny ability to shrug off tackles, take a few steps this way or that, and suddenly create time and throwing lanes – It seems to be the rarest quality among NFL quarterbacks, and the one most difficult to predict when trying to draft guys out of college, and with first impressions, it looks like Webb has this, and Ponder probably does not. Couple this with the fact that Webb has a stronger arm, better size, good accuracy, and better all around athleticism, and it doesn’t make sense to deny him the chance to be the starter. Clearly, he creates match-up nightmares for opposing defenses the same way a guy like Randy Moss did. If he were starting, every team facing him would have to completely rethink every aspect of there defensive schemes. The most amazing thing is that Web has very little exposure to a pro style offense in comparison to Ponder. Unfortunately, if experience proves anything, he probably will not be given the chance unless Ponder gets injured or if they loose their first five games next season. We can only hope that the Vikings’ staff can see that this is not the normal quarterback controversy – Ponder looks like he could develop into a good one, but there are off-the-chart, jump-out-of-the-TV-screen differences in potential clear to those of us looking from the outside in.

  56. By McTingle on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

I’ve often wondered if we’re not wasting Webb’s talent. The Vikings have been sorely lacking a deep threat, big bodied wide receiver. In the meantime we’re letting Joe ride the bench as a back up QB? Get him on the field!

Why not utilize Joe’s talents as a wide receiver, who also happens to be the back up QB? At 6′ 4″, 220lbs, 42.5″ vertical, 4.43/40, aren’t these numbers you’d like to see in a WR? Big, strong, fast & physical. If he’s capable of playing WR as a primary position, and as needed back up QB, wouldn’t the Vikings get the best production out of Joe if they used him as such?

  57. By Mike J on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

Not taking anything from Ponder but Webb is the better fit on our offense and I believe he deserves a fair chance at being our franchise QB. It’s clear he makes our offense more dynamic look at yesterday game we were on our way to another loss until he came in. He’s proven he’s the better QB. I know our Frazier won’t give him a fair chance because they don’t want to show the mistake they made in reaching for Ponder in the 1st round but this is football the best player should be on the field no matter what round he was drafted in we don’t want to go through what the Jets are going through with Sanchaz.

  58. By Randy on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

I’m not really a Webb band wagon jumper like many are. No, I was screaming that they should make Webb their starter before they drafted Ponder, who was predicted to be a 3rd round draft pick, and the Vikings picked him in the first round. What a waste of a 1st round draft pick when there was so many defensive players available. I was screaming not to pick up McNabb. I said don’t do it. Start Webb. He will make lots of mistakes, but keep playing him, he will keep getting better and we will win games. But Fraizer is bent on sticking with Ponder and he will continue to be bent on starting Ponder next year and they the Vikings will continue to lose with, despite the fact that Webb will out shine him in next years pre-season games just as he did this year. Ejventually Fraizer will be fired at the end of next year because he won’t listen to me or anyone else, but most importantly, he won’t listen to reason. Webb is clearly the guy to develope into the future QB. But Fraizer and Vikings won’t do it. Why? Why? Why won’t they listen? Webb is the man. Stick with him and the Vikings will be rewarded with many wins in the future. Why won’t they listen?

I think its time for the owner to step in, at the very latest to start next year’s season, and tell Fraizer that everyone wants Webb to be the starter and I think we should listen to them. Webb is clearly the guy to develope. It’ been done on other teams in the past where the owner has stepped in and told the coach what he wants and this is definitely a situation where someone had to do something to get through to Fraizer that Webb is the starter. Its not usually the way to run a football team, but the result will be many wins in the future with Webb, so lets get it done.

Fairly sure sure Caleb King will be added to the active roster with the loss of Peterson, the kid was very impressive in the short amount of time he had in the preseason. Hopefully he has been in his playbook and practicing hard I see him as a better alternative than Lorenzo Booker for our change of pace back. I think Peterson will work hard to try to rehab the knee, but also believe it will cost him in the form of a non- productive season in 2012 coming off a serous knee injury, but if anyone could prove me wrong in this case it would be Adrian Peterson, good luck AP and God speed to you for a full and complete recovery.

Once teams see him play it will be easy to stop him. He needs to play Wr or rb at times. Ponder just needs an Oline. The guy is getting destroyed every game. Webb is good just not a good QB.

    I am with carl

    Bottom line management is dumb

    Playing peterson was not necessary
great to play ponder to see if he can play but not peterson now he is done for life
Peterson is such a classy guy and good role model

This team needs to trade down in draft
first pic has to be a left offensive tacke
2nd pic a corner back and they need to pick up a free agent corner back
    and draft one
the additonal 2nd round pic a running back or wide out or defensive tackle
3rd wideout running back or defensive tackle

    you get the picture

regarding webb either make him your number 1 receiver or number one qb but get him on field

The vikings front office is stupid it is that simple

if they don’t trade down the are flat out history

I was thinking that Vikes might draft a RB in upcoming draft. Not a high round pick. There could be some later round gems. Someone that could spell AD and learn from him also. Ball,Polk, and Pead come to mind. But remember these guys ran behind an O-Line!

  78. By animal26 on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

trading our pick is a bad Idea, if we would have had the first pick it would have made more sense to trade, due to it being said to be worth a ton of draft picks. This probably wont be a good draft for the vikings.

  79. By sandiamond on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

agreed Mike, we might very well take a RB now in the later rounds because of the injury and you can add LaMicheal James to that list

Also, we’ve seen some roster changes and some differences on the active/inactive list the past couple weeks, who (if any) of the ‘new’ guys seem to be impressing that you could see contributing to this team for seasons to come?

Any chance of you doing a good-bye interview with Kleinsasser now that he is retiring?

Lastly, if you can, on behalf of all us fans please pass on to Peterson that we all appreciate his competitive spirit and that our thoughts and prayers are with him as he begins his treatment and rehab for his injury.

In closing it is always fun to watch us lose to #1 picks in 1 game . ap and next years draft pick what we gonna lose this week. when we need to win we dont and when we dont need to win we do. that should be fraziers trademark let someone else have him as a coach. i wish i could say merry xmas but xmas eve i lost the spirit. this averageness has to end. but a little late to take back whats already don.

I was happy to go into 2011 with Webb as our QB and draft a LT as our #1. I was quite surprised with the Ponder pick, and could not understand why. But, Ponder has a lot of potential and promise, so I am ok with it now. Webb is not the only player that made plays in that game, so don’t ignore that either. He had 3 TD’s yes – but accounted for 84 yds passing and 34 yds rushing. Gerhart, Raymond, and Harvin had a lot to do with winning that game. Perhaps there should be a RB controversy also – Gerhart technically outplayed AP…..We should really find out why our offensive numbers are so much better all around when AP is not playing. Maybe we could implore a little more creativity in the offense when AP is playing too?

@Mike W I agree with you every man is playing for a starting spot on the team. I also think that Coach Frazier is on the hot seat and this win helped him keep his job. I think he is still on the hot seat when the Bears come to the Dome. If we get embarrassed there again, I feel that Frazier is done. He’s going to put the best team he can on the field to win the game. We just lay down for these last two games, and I have no doubt in my mind we have a new coach next year. My opinion is that we should get a new coach, but I am ok with giving Coach Frazier another year. He should earn that right. I am sure Indy and the Rams are trying to win every game too. Indy has won their last two games and they had Luck pick wrapped up. They aren’t sucking for luck. Think about it.

@TommyK#9 Look at the Defensive line and just behind. Whenever AP is in the backfield there is always 8 or 9 guys in the box. One of the problems all year is that other teams realize that we aren’t able to get the ball downfield. We have to hold our tight ends back to help protect the QB. So our run game became ineffective. Our Oline is so bad they couldn’t hold off defenses for a 3 count. At times there was 3 TE in blocking. If you can’t pass you can’t run and vice versa.

  141. By Mike B. on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

Ponder’s “happy feet” are due to lack of protection not his ability to get the ball down field. Webb, Gerhart, Harvin combination gives the Defense fits as they don’t know which one will have the ball. Eventually Defenses will have a solution for it. But it does shake things up when Ponder comes out of the game or they add Webb in. Defenses don’t like to see the ball in Harvins, Webbs, or APs hands as they know one miss tackle and it’s six points.

I’ve been a very patient and very loyal Vikings fan for 33 years now and with that being said, my patience is wearing very thin. I went into this season like most Viking fans with hope that Frazier and the rest of the coaching staff knew what they were doing. That went out the window after week one and it just got worse blowing leads and losing game after game. With only one week left, its obvious all three need to go. The defense is just god awful with a offense to match it. Frazier has no idea what it takes to be a head coach. They did nothing in the offseason besides signing, over payed, Robison who did nothing all year besides kick a guy in the groin. Brought in McNabb who is gone and he mentioned that Webb could be the future starter? Seriously?? Webb has lots of talent but I don’t see our future with him. I understand players like him but that shouldn’t be the main criteria for the HC. Bring in Gruden or Marty Schottenheimer. We need a guy thats gonna challenge the players and hold them responsible instead of showing no emotion and hugging these guys like they are best friends. Im tired of a losing team bringing in washed up qbs. The team looks like it has a new stadium in place so lets start with a new coaching staff to boot.

Hopefully oline and db help will be the first things focused on in the draft and free agency next year. If you look at the glass half full, we have two young qbs in Ponder and Webb that have the opportunity to improve if the oline does. Coaching/management is a concern of mine also. I’m not a Singletary fan but he laid the base for a good defense in San Fran that really came together this year. When I see him on the sideline, it seems like he is standing behind everyone, arms folded (Frazieresque) and quiet????? Many a superbowl has been won by a good team with average qb play (Johnson, Dilfer, Collins, etc.) Would like to see a better team around these two young qbs before we write them off.

  147. By Viking33 on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

@Tommy#9 – yes I answered my own question, it was a rhetorical question. But I am sure that we are not the only ones that see that the flow of the offense get better when AP is not in there. I don’t know what it is, maybe the team is leaning on AP too much when he is in there, and when he isn’t they know they have to step it up. The defense definetely plays us different when AP is in the game, but that is something that we should have learned to take advantage of by now. The guy that types in ALL CAPS thinks that I am saying that Gerhart is better than AP, to him I say this –> No I am not saying that, I am just making the point that since everyone says Webb outplays Ponder and Webb should start wthen since technically Gerhart is outplaying AP, when he plays, why shouldn’t he replace AP?

With the exception of the Chiefs, no one has been able to shut Rodgers down. He is passing better than any in the league and has enough run game to keep Defenses confused. They were wildcard winners last year and went all the way. This year they will be at home till the SB. They have a good chance to make it again. Not that I like it though. Green is an awful color.

I couldn’t help but laugh this morning when the news flash said, Green Bay will probably sit their starters … hmm, my question to all you people that think it’s so honorable to not do the very same thing (not play starters in meaningless games … and I normally in any other situation would completely agree with you … except this one time) in this past game, besides the fact that Rams and the Colts have obviously no problem doing it. But back to Green Bay. It is acceptable I’m sure you’ll say in that situation to rest the starters? The next thing you’ll say is, uh yeah, well the team needed this win. Really? How many players won’t even be here? Who will even remember the win? Actually, it’ll be remembered as the game that very well (of course we hope not) that changes AP’s whole career. Flash forward: this April’s Draft and into the next season, and for that matter the coming years; you will absolutely look back on this with regret with this last game. I believe this was a very pivotal game. Think that’s being dramatic? This draft will be the biggest most hyped draft in years. Maybe ever. The value of these first picks are just now, just beginning to be realized. Wait till it starts getting closer. The Vikings didn’t need the 1st pick but they very well will drop to the 6th. Don’t you realize the opportunity that you just fooled away (the Rams and the Colts haven’t). It didn’t have to be “purposefully losing the game”. It was a matter of not playing starters and seeing what your depth was for this next year and then yes, it wasn’t like you were going all out to win but more importantly seeing what you have on the roster. Again, if they were going into the playoffs you would say, rest the starters.
I have been a fan for over 35 years. I have never waivered in my loyalty but call me what you want, I finally do see this franchise as jinxed or better yet, In real need of proper leadership. This was the one time we could’ve gained incredible ground … instead, I think if were even possible the team just took a few more years, steps, backwards. Then of course lastly, you have to have faith in the front office, coaching staff, etc. This is not the way it should’ve been. Lets see what you think of this honorable win going into the future.

  174. By Viking33 on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

@ Viking Fan? – how have the Colts realized that they need to lose – they just won two in a row? Other news flashes also said the GB coach will have a hard time sitting the starters. Don’t be the liberal media and only report one side. GO Rams!!

    @Deertracks

King might as well be chopped liver. Coaches feel he should stay on PS. Then in typical fashion,Vikings lose him to another team. A year or two later he pops up as a “who is this RB that is tearing up the game?” oh, it seems he was on Vikings PS.
I feel these guys should get off ps and see what they can do. If King contributes nicely, RB in draft may not even be priority (lower one albeit)

  185. By Viking33 on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

King would be nice to see, but I would rather evaluate someone other than Loadholt. As the most penalized player on our team – he needs to take a little rest.

@ Deertracks – I have seen your posts on King, but we couldn’t bring him up until we lost someone. @ Mike R – are you referring to Kalil Bell from the Bears who will be playing us next week – And Good Stuff Tom the Packer Fan!

  187. By Mike R. on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

    Question to everybody…

It seems that O-line is a priority in the draft. Also maybevin later rounds DT-DE to give support to Allen (he could be getting 20 sacks!)

why then is OL Love and DE Reed always listed as inactive for games? Are they hurt? Personal reasons? I thought they were good value in draft. Reed I thought was a diamond in the rough that Vikings thought outside the box and got steal. But nothing, nada

  188. By Viking33 on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

@ Mike R – I am also interested in Love and Reed after hearing so many accolades laid on them last year.

Mike R, I have asked that question about D. Reed before. The guy is getting paid but on the non-active list all year. Never , not one explanation for the roster move. It seems as though Wobs and Cardinal could care less in writing about players that are non-starters

I agree with Denny that those were cheap shots on Petersson and Ponder.AND I’ll go one further to say that after watching all those hits on Ponder and AP it left me with the distinct impression that Washington’s players were told to take them out of the game anyway possible, irregardless of penalties.

I’ve got a feeling the vikes will not activate Caleb King on the roster for practice this week. They want Toby to get the bulk of carries plus a few more for Booker. It is always an act of congress to make a roster move. THE FANS WANT TO SEE KING ON THE FIELD NEXT WEEK!

Fraizer needs to give Griffin the door he’s to close to some of these players. He needs to show us the fans he can make some coaching decisions and not try to make excuses for failures after the fact. Leslie is coaching like he’s scared and it will cost him his job. The bottom line is 2 things Griffin must go and Leslie needs to quit being every players friends.

OMG, you all have short memories. This guy is having good appearances. If you want to see why joe webb will never be a NFL QB, watch his press conference after the game. Great talent, but lacks the mental agility to run an elite NFL offense. I am not insulting him, I am stating the fact. He is a talented playmaker who will only at best win about 6-7 games in the NFL as a QB. He will dominate weak teams and get blown out by strong teams. However, if he becomes a WR, he could become a Hall of Fame receiver. The best place for webb is somewhere he doesn’t have to think, just perform and that is how he has success when he is in. He reacts, and uses his feet and agility to make plays (same as a WR). QB has to understand the game and what the D-fense is bringing, not just relying on raw talent. Webb can’t be taught that, because he doesn’t have the ability to mental adjust to the situation.

  219. By jcdogg on Dec 27, 2011 | Reply

Webb has shown that in pre-season, last year against Detroit, He had success against them this year, but for those of you watching the Detroit game, he almost threw 4 picks in the last drive. Then while running to the left, carrying the ball in his non-throwing hand (left), he had the ball stripped before the facemask. Then the next appearance he only throws the ball 5 times in two quarters. He is a talent but not a talented QB. I see a lot of potential in Ponder and his intelligence is the primary factor that should help him to adjust next year to the pace and speed of the game, while getting in sync with his receivers. When that happens, the Vikings will have a very powerful offense. All you, what have you done for me know people need to realize this and just like all those Pro-Bowl QBs, he will start to show improvement.

  220. By NorthwoodsVikesFan on Dec 27, 2011 | Reply

Curtis says: “I think the Vikings should go a CB or WR in the draft with first pick because of the need for play makers on both sides of the ball on the outside , good o-line or d-line man are needed for good team butt need play makers more than o-line man in my view would be nice for Ponder or Webb to have a true number one WR throw to on the outside, like Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd if not a WR than there looks to some very good CB’s to draft to thats what I think”

Let’s think this through, Curtis. It doesn’t matter WHO they would get as a receiver, our QB can’t throw to them if he’s planted on the turf because our Swiss-cheese O-line let the rush through again. We’ve got plenty of WR talent, and plenty of QB talent. MN needs to fix the PROBLEMS of the team, not improve the good parts.
