Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 21, 2011 – 2:53 pm

The Vikings and Redskins each released their initial injury reports of the week after practicing on Wednesday in advance of their Saturday showdown at FedEx Field. The Vikings had two players sit out of practice, while Washington had four players limited and three others listed as full participants.

For the Vikings, CB Asher Allen and LG Steve Hutchinson sat out after sustaining concussions last week; Allen is also listed with a shoulder injury. RG Anthony Herrera (knee), S Jarrad Page (hamstring), DT Kevin Williams (knee) and LB Erin Henderson (illness) were all limited in practice.

For Washington, T Jammal Brown (groin), LB London Fletcher (ankle), RB Roy Helu (toe/knee) and FB Mike Sellers (elbow) were all limited. DE Stephen Bowen (knee), P Sav Rocca (left ankle) and CB Josh Wilson (head/chest) were all listed as full participant.

A pity a team can’t forfeit by just not showing up.

Parody … I saw your previous blog and its pretty amazing that 2 of those coachs won only 1 game in their first season. How could an organization put its fans through another year of that garbage?

    2012 …

What really sux is even if the Vikings dont lose next season I wont see them win a Super Bowl … dang Mayans. Couldnt they give us through Fraziers tenure b4 the end?

It would be fitting if the Packers won the last superbowl in the Vikings face. There’s nothing better than little Minnesota boys crying about another team winning. Face it, it’s become Minnesota culture to be jealous little children when it comes to sports. Better cling to that WNBA championship because that’s all you have and what you’ve been reduced to. Beeeyotch!

Guys, the secondary isnt THAT bad. It just injuries. If I were coach heres how the lineup would be next year.

    ———Hussain Abdullah———————————Antoine Winfield—————

    Chris Cook———————————-Marcus Sherals————–Brandon Burton

Benny Sap would be 4th string, Asher Allen and Cedric Griffin would looking for another job. For those wondering about Burton, This kid is special. He held his own against the Saints. Aton of upside.

And we know you are jealous because we have women that can actually be Cheerleaders in Minnesota. Where do people get the reports on the Vikings?? They are now reporting the big news that the lockerroom is that players are Really Really upset that Chris Cook is still on the 53 man roster and getting paid, while Mckinnie, Berrian, and McRib were waived – wrongfully…….. What is going on?? Those three guys have flat lost it, Chris Cook still has talent, what is hard to figure out with that? Berrian and McRib are playing for whom because they were so good still and McKinnie won’t be playing next year either, Baltimore was desperate. It seems like the only reporting being done on the Vikings are reports that cause turmoil? I think I just hate when I read reports like that, and the guy doesn’t even sign his name to it.

  13. By Shawn on Dec 21, 2011 | Reply

Viking33 … Id put money on Chris Cook being cut if our secondary wasnt so bad. Frazier must realize next season if the off season doesnt go right Cook would be his best DB. Hopefull the offseason goes right and Cook eith becomes professional or unemployed

Oh yeah no doubt – but there is no way the Vikings cut that Kid only to see some other team snap him up. You can’t condone what happened, but I don’t think it warrants hurting the team future of the team. He deserves a chance to straghten it out, if anything like that happens again though – See Ya Later!

Everyone no QB will be any good with this team, no one. This team has no O-line, defense, and questionable coaching. There is no one to lead this team when it comes to drafting and free agencies. We need one person in charge, like a GM. This team needs a new home like the stadium that is proposed; this team has never been the same team it was when it was playing in the old Metropolitan Stadium, 4 SB’s in the Met, 0 SB’s in the dome, nothing more to say about that. The new Stadium needs to be outside the twin cities for the very reason that the Met was; more room to tailgate and for parking, with being close to the cities for all their amenities.

    Everyone have a great day.

Okay, lots of guys on Vikings.com are jealous of my HIRE A MANAGER!!! plea.

Please realize that although I mentioned it first on the blog, it was not my idea.

I got it from the Mpls. Tribune when Childress was still coach. DRS and Shawn are not jealous of me. Neither should you.

The facts are the facts. Every organization has to be ORGANIZED. Currently you have SIX Vice Presidents to choose from, with the Wilf brothers above them.

No one seems to know who is in charge the day of the draft. The Vikings often go down to the last second before they make their pick.

Plus, you don’t know, and neither do I, how decisions are made with the Vikings. But we all suspect that the decisions are way too complicated. It’s like the House and the Senate. They can’t make a decision, because it goes through too many hands.

The Vikings do not have time to make critical decisions slowly. And we also do not know which coaches, and scouts are doing a good job.

3.) Hire Mike Ditka as GM

And there you have it problem solved.
