Good News: All Listed As Probable On Vikings Final Injury Report

Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 16, 2011 – 1:36 pm

The Vikings had 7 players (not counting Chris Cook) listed on their injury report by the end of the week. But the good news is that all of them are virtual certainties to play – including RB Adrian Peterson (ankle).

Greg Camarillo (concussion), E.J. Henderson (shoulder), Jarrad Page (hip), Asher Allen (shoulder), Christian Ponder (hip) and Letroy Guion (ankle) are all listed as questionable. Guion, who was added to the injury report on Thursday, was a limited participant in practice.

All others were full participants on Friday.

Here’s what the Saints have going on their Friday injury report…
– Out: Mark Ingram, Jonathan Casillas
– Questionable: Jonathan Vilma, Turk McBride
– Probable: Tracy Porter, Sedrick Ellis, Jimmy Graham, Scott Shanle

Please no turnovers!!! We wouldve won so many games had we not had any.

Please get turnovers defense!!! Our DBs are so bad that they are never in position to make a turnover. The only way we would get one is if our line or linebackers force a fumble.

I never had a problem with the saints til 09 but now I hate them just as much as the bears and the packers, and now after last weeks game I no longer feel sorry for the lions i hate them just as much.

coach Pagac better send the house including the kitchen sink at brees!!!

I mean our defense better be hitting him all day long. They threw the dirtiest shots at farve and got away with it. Im talking James Harrison, Suh hits. F the saints and Brees, its pay back time.

    HIT BREES
    HIT BREES
    HIT BREES
    HIT BREES
HIT HIM HIGH HIT HIM LOW
    HIT BREES HIT BREES
    HIT BREES IN TH MOUTH

I HATE THE REFS!!! Is it just me or does it seem like we get hosed on most calls by the refs??? Not just this year but historically it seems like calls just do not go our way??? It would be interesting if there was a stat called “blown calls by refs, later apologized by NFL”. Last year against GB when Shiancoe’s TD was reversed after it was called good but their first TD wasnt and the refs said it was and Chilly never challenged! Dont get me started on last weeks game with “THE FACE MASK SEEN AROUND THE WORLD EXCEPT THE REFS THAT WERE AT THE GAME”, the NFC championship game was one bad call after another, im sure there are hundreds more but those are biggies.

Why is nobody getting on Jared Allen? He gets all of his sacks in the 1st half then does nothing. Whens the last time he got a sack in the 4th quarter when it actually mattered?

  6. By Jdude on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

Come on vikes bit the S*** out of the saints. They took away Favre’s last shot away because of all those dirty hits they had on him. Hit brees as hard as you can.

  7. By Viking Joe on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

How is Allen overrated when he leads the league in sacks with 17.5, nobody else has more than 5, he’s good, it’s time for the other lineman to step up.

  8. By Spence on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

Yea and all of his sacks come in the first half. He never makes a difference in the 2nd half when we need him most.

  9. By Viking Joe on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

That’s because he gets double and triple teamed, like I said the others need to step up.

Im not a troll. Just a disgusted Vikings fan, Shawneas. But what I say is the truth. It shouldnt matter if hes getting doubled team. Ware gets double teamed and he still causes pressures and hurries. Allen simply doesnt.

I cannot believe it. I think you and I finally agree deertracks. I agree 100% with Joe. Joe you ate my words. Offenses adjust. It’s up to the others to take care of buisness. 19. By sandiamond on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

ouch! shawn we may be have been wrong about linebackers in the draft. Pagac always said the personel would have to be changed with a switch to 3-4 and then that would help the secondary also

I would say that I hope they break brees’s neck to repay them for the nfc championship game in 09, but I think the saints are the only ones that can beat the packers, and i slightly hate the packers more

WE NEED R.E.V.E.N.G.E on them. the stupid refs cheat us out in the 09 nfl title game. we need to somehow win this. and the secondary NEEDS to step up. I wouldn’t exactly call it payback if we won this game against the Saints – we win a meaningless game and all is right with the Viking Universe?? It will take nothing short of a Super to vindcate this Vikes fan, I can tell you that. On the schedule to our glorious SB that year ( hoping soon) we would be hammering the –> Chiefs – Raiders – Steelers – Cowboys – Giants – Saints and of course our divisional dudes – we have a lot of Payback to Spread around – So lets break that Piggy Bank!! – get that Stadium!! – Draft those Studs!! – and start paying back some of these teams that have used our beloved Team to cement their names in NFL. Oh Ya, and the 49ers for that Steve Young run that I have to endure at least twice a year!

@Deertracks. Who dat? The Saints. My friend was talking about how that year destiny was not going to let the Saints loose after Katrina. Kind of like the Tebow thing. I think after what these guys have absorbed in the last two years, good things are coming; and yes the first step is embarking on this journey to find a GM, and an All American gaurd or WR.

Yes, I do agree that game had it’s many flaws and the officials didn’t help either. With all the turnovers we had i’m surprised we still dominated, we were truly the better team that year. But now that’s in the past. In football you learn to have short term memory when it comes to games and football related events in the past, both good and bad. It may be hard and maybe a victory this sunday will finally set us in the right direction, because nothing has gone right ever since then.

What is this report of the DB’s ignoring Pagac’s play calling and going to 3-4 Defense in 2012 and Singlet ary taking over. The biggest blessing this season is we haven’t had to hear a Singletary speech yet. And when did they ignore the play calls – when they got burned or when they didn’t get burned? It is pretty shoddy reporting…I heard from a source – a guy who knows a guy who has good reason to know that players called there own plays?

bad news viking fans … very unlikely we get the 2nd pick which mean no LT-Kalil

With Chicago and Washington on our schedule we are bound to win 1 and possibly 2 if we win 2 we could fall out of the top 5 draft picks

Rams play … Bengals … 49ers … and Steelers … so they wont win again considering sam bradford is out this week against the bengals

    6 teams with 4 wins …

Jags … play Tennesee and Indy … so they might win 1 giving them 5 wins and us possibly 4

Skins … play NYG … Vikings …. and Phily … so looks like they will only have 4 wins and if we beat them then they will pick b4 us

Bucs … have Atl … Dallas and Carolina … so they might win 1 but possibly lose all 3 … did they beat us? so we get the tie breaker

Dolphins … have buffalo … patriots and Jets … so again possible 1 win or possible tie with us

Browns … Arizona , baltimore and pittsburgh … grr better hope they beat the cards or another tie

Panthers … Houston, tampa, Saints … better hope they beat tampa or they will pick ahead of us

looks like the draft will be …

    1- Colts
    2- Rams
    3- Redskins
    4- Browns
    5- Dolphins
    6- Vikings … NO LT Kalil :(
    7- Bucs

  44. By Kirb on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

I am optimistic about the Vikings for the future. Of their 11 losses, only 2 have been over before the 4th quarter. A 10 point loss that wasn’t handled right by Coach, and the rest 7 pts or fewer are good signs, I think. Turnovers and lack of takeaways are DEFINITELY a big problem. Get our O-line doing their jobs, and our d-backs healthy and I think 2012 looks promising.

  46. By Tim on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

Well it would be nice to get a little revenge against the saint’s. We can lose the other two game’s I do hope we get Matt Kalil the guy will probally turn the Viking’s O.line around.

  47. By TITANIUM TITUS on Dec 16, 2011 | Reply

Kirb, we only had those two bad losses– but they were BAD. We were slaughtered on national TV– Bears and Packers. But all the other games we were right in it– even all the road games. And as of late, we have been improving. The team also battles and fights back even when down by several scores– something I have rarely seen in recent memory from a Vikings team — so I believe we are starting to see the slow turnaround– this team is on the right course.

But please– please, BEAT THE SAINTS!!!!!

really hate to say this, but this game is going to get really ugly, very fast. Vikings don’t stand a chance, with the secondary so depleted. Brees is going to pick the D apart and Ponder is going to get punished big time, if his hip isn’t functioning at 100%, because our O-line isn’t going to be able to protect him.

  64. By Woodboat on Dec 17, 2011 | Reply

I don’t know if the fans are calling for a 3-4 defense, but I wouldn’t want to see it happen anytime soon. We need our draft picks for O Line and DBs, not wasted on a top end LB and a run-stuffing nose guard. K Williams isn’t big enough to anchor the middle… and then what do you do with Jared on a team that features LBs rushing the QB. He’s not really cut out to be a LB….

  65. By Frederick Jones on Dec 17, 2011 | Reply

    @Woodboat,

    Thank you for that perspective.

Like I have said 1,000 times, we need to take care of NEEDS through the draft, free agency, and trades.

Many or all of our VPs want to go after the GLAMOUR picks.

and that is why I say…

    we NEED A GENERAL MANAGER!
    WE NEED A GENERAL MANAGER!

What we need to do more than anything else (and I am SO SURE about this) is
GET SOME TALENT AT OFFENSIVE LINE, DEFENSIVE BACK, AND NOW WIDE RECEIVER!!!

How do we go about it? I say hire a GENERAL MANAGER to clean up the mess left by the current FRONT OFFICE administration since 2003.

Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians WILL NOT GET IT DONE.

I don’t believe in co-coaches. Someone has to be in charge of any organization. Right now, that is in question with the MN VIKINGS.

I would take the safe route:

Draft Offensive Linemen and Defensive Backs. Those are our greatest needs, and predicting success is much better than the elusive QB.

We already have Joe Webb. He can be like that other Joe, except more talented.

You young un’s have no idea who I am talking about, do ya?

Let’s face it, it’s hard to judge who’s go to be a star at the QB position.

If you have followed the careers of Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, etc. then you know this is true.

What we have to do is get some offensive linemen who can, and want, to play football. That should be the goal for this year. Anything else is gravy !

Webb looks like the next Tarkenton. He will get tested by a tough game plan this week.

Give the young man time, he will play like he did versus Philly.

His performance really underscores the need for offensive linemen. Would it be wise to draft several o-linemen in the hope that one or two pan out?

The Vikings have too many holes to fill all at once. The offensive line needs to improve more than any other group.

  98. By Shawn on Dec 17, 2011 | Reply

Titus … I am 100% in agreement. Our offense has shown signs of life and if we had an OL I can see us beeing top 10 in offense

Our Defense under Frazier was top 10, with the same cra’ppy secondary. So if we get a DC and some DBs should be good to go next season.

I really want the next great LT from the draft … and a couple free agent signings. I hope Spielman feel the pressure and pulls out his best draft ever

I am excited about the future. looks like Ponder with an OL has the ability and smarts to make the throws and dare i say a hint of Favre aka gunslinger

Offense has the playmakers and Musgrave has been coming along very nicely maybe an offseason would of helped him

Pagac … its not good when the players dont listen remember Chilly. So he will need to be replaced. Spanolo is a 4-3 guy and was the Giants DC when they beat the wouldve been undefeated Patriots

  99. By Shawn on Dec 17, 2011 | Reply

  101. By Shawn on Dec 17, 2011 | Reply

The secondary can only be fixed by adding a good free agent … a rookie needs time

    Michael Griffin – FS … 26 yo … 16 career INTs

Laron Landry – SS … 27 yo … started only 8 games this year and is on IR and Started 9 games last season … seems to be a missed games guy

Tyvon Branch … SS … 25 yo … has started every game for 3 straight years and has over 100 tackles in all 3 ( hes at 91 this season with 3 games )

So I say no to Laron Landry.

Viking fans we have received our just desserts. We have replaced our most experienced QB with a rookie and we now have to start all over again. Instead of following the development plan successfully executed by the Falcons, Jets, and Ravens, we have followed the path of the Jaguars. Instead of supporting the development of our young qb’s , we replaced this with the “win now at any cost” philosophy. We have turned back the clock and deserve exactly what we have gotten…0-11. I wonder how long it will take before we line Ponder up for the firing squad…..

Joe Webb headed to the same fate as the once Cordell Stewart of the Steelers.Stewart was drafted to be a WR the same as Joe Webb. After the failed QB experiment Stewart refused to play WR, The same thing is developing with Webb. Neither one have or had a future as a starting QB, But both could have been or could be Great #1 WR’s. Where is Stewart now, Well he is not in the NFL because of his bad attitude and refusal to play at the WR position he felt it was beneath him and that he was descriminated against. Just listen to the J Webb interview after the last game. The C Stewart is already appearing in Joe Webb. It will be a tragic waste of a gifted WR Led astray. Fraizer can stop this and save Joe’s Carrer.

    To the Viking Fans:
We as Fans can no longer place the Blame on the coaches or the Players. The Blame rest Squarely on the Shoulders of The Wilf Family of Vice Presidents and Ziggy Wilf, Mark Wilf. They are the ones that hired Leslie Frazier, and approved his hiring of Pagac, and Musgrave, and the special teams coach and then bringing in D. McNabb who just kept losing week after week until we were so deep in losses that we couldn’t help ourselves out of that deep hole McNabb put us in.
All we have listened to all year long is we’ve got to do a better job of coaching, And from Ponder I’ve got to do a better job of handling the ball and stop fumbling, throwing interceptions, and all the rest of the garbage from the Vikings coaches week in and week out. I’m Glad that I don’t live in Minnesota any longer, so I can’t buy my season tickets any longer I thought Les Steckel was a bad coach but at least we knew he was bad and we got rid of him. Now if the Wilfs use the excuse of owing Chilly money as the reason for keeping Frazier past this year than The Wilfs get what they deserve and thats a lousy Team. They could turn things around by hiring a good GM and a top notch coaching staff even with the players we have now a good coaching staff could whip them into shape. with a Good GM and coaching Staff they could Draft good plays to help the O-line that leaks like a SIEVE, and a D-line and secondary that can’t stop any run or pass plays. And give Jarred Allen some Deceant help.

    To L. Frazier:

To the owners and head Coach of the MN Viking, I just read a article where Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson were assaulted by the Saints and you guys didn’t do anything about it Peterson had the saints trying to twist his ankle in the piles after plays. and I read that Jared Allen read the coaches the riot act and you did nothing but pull him out of the game so he couldn;t even try to get a sack near the end of the game.
Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen are two of our gratest team ASSETS and if you won’t take care of them than it’s time the Wilfs get rid of you and your entire coaching staff of lousy coaches, after all they are two of your highest paid Players and they need the coaches support during and after games. Just look at what the Saints did to Bret Favre in 2009 championship Game they nearly took his leg off and now Sunday the Ain’ts did the same thing to Adrian on Sunday. I guess you have no guts to stand up for your players to either the ref’s or the other teams.
It was your responsibility to report things like that to the League office there is no room for that kind of play on the field after all you are Paying Peterson $100,000,000 alone not to mention what you are paying Jared Allen. If you can’t protect your players than you don’t deserve to be Head coach or any kind of coach.
