Vikings, “Kids To The Rescue” To Hold Coat Collection Sunday Benefiting The Salvation Army

Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 2, 2011 – 7:30 am

The Vikings are encouraging fans to bring a new or gently-used jacket to Sunday’s Vikings-Broncos game for donation to The Salvation Army.

Volunteers from “Kids to the Rescue,” a local teen group focused on helping less fortunate children, will be stationed at each gate collecting the jackets from 10:00 a.m. until kickoff at noon. The coats will be given away at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center on Christmas Day.

Fans that cannot make it to Sunday’s game can donate online at www.thesalarmy.org.
