RB Adrian Peterson was not able to practice on Friday – nor was he able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday – and the Vikings have listed him as doubtful for Sunday’s game in Atlanta. Also listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game on the Vikings side is TE Kyle Rudolph, who is dealing with a quad injury.

For the Falcons, CB Kelvin Hayden (toe) is out. T Sam Baker (back), CB Brent Grimes (knee) and DT Vance Walker (groin) are listed as questionable. DE John Abraham (not injury-related), G Justin Blalock (ankle), TE Tony Gonzalez (not injury-related), WR Julio Jones (hamstring), LB Curtis Lofton (ankle), C Todd McClure (not injury-related), S William Moore (quad) and DT Corey Peters (knee) are listed as probable.

I hope ray edwards has a sorry game. I cant stand that guy. He benefitted off of Jared Allen and wants to act like he is in the same category as Allen, Ware, and Peppers. He would line up against Loadholt right?

Either way i think the falcons are like the ravens, they show up against really good teams and then some weeks they just aren’t in it. I always root for the Vikes and I always think we are going to win I just wont have a heart attack or a stroke if we lose this weekend. I wonder how many TDs are going to get called back because of holds???

    To the Viking Coaching Staff:

When will you complain to the NFL league office about the referees calling phoney penalties against the team and not calling them against other teams we play,
such as the packers in the second game in labeau field
they didn’t call one penalty against the cheese heads. Is it because thhe packers are paying the refs on the QT or is it they just hate the Vikings that much. If the Coaching Staff or the Management doesn’t speak out about the penalties we see every week by the other teams that don’t get called you will never get back to the Superbowl. The Raiders was the first team that actually had penalties called against them which leads me to the conclusion that the NFL or the referees hate Oakland as much or maybe alittle more than the Vikings. It is about time that the MN.Vikings speak out about bad Officiating or let the fans do it if you don’t have the courage to speak out for yourselves. and if tyhe NFL holds your complaining against you then it’s time to change commisioners and NFL staff. Or go to a priivatized officiating staff made up od Honest referees and maybe Two Neutral People not involved with the league to oversee the calls on the field.

Really Fred yawn already You can’t control who owns the team. They make the decisions and it’s final. If they wanted the team to suck every year not much fans could do other than not buy tickets or/and merch. The Wilfs are not going to spend much more money on the team until the stadium deal is done. The politicians can’t come ot any kind of agreement on how to come up with funds for the stadium. Time to accept that 2011 is done with and hope that the checkbook is out for 2012. They sure didn’t make good choice this year. WR core poor, OL poor, Def secondary poor, DL not as strong as in the past. Get rid of Rice, Big Mac and Pat Williams without an equal talent in place poor personel choice. Heads need to roll.

  53. By Mike B. on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

If you want to have the Vikings Organization realize that you are not happy with direction of the team. Stop buying tickets and merch until changes are made. Heck they weren’t even bring the stadium issues to the voters until just recently. The Vikings Org PR is doing a poor job trying to garner local support for the stadium. Businesses only realize they are doing poorly when they are losing income sources. So stop buying Vikings Stuff until they realize the fans are unhappy with what’s happening. I have not bought a ticket this year or any vikings shirts, caps, ect. This is the wosrt year I have seen in a long while and it’s time to say publically that mistakes where made and poor choices were made. We fans already know this and the Vikings need to admit it. Have a Good weekend

  54. By Sir Greasy Panda on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

The Wilfs are good owners!!! The team sucks because of Brad Childress. Childress was coaching to save his job not building for the future. When his job was secure the Vikings progressed from 6-10 to 8-8 to 8-8 to 10-6 to 12-4 then his job got shaky he stopped trying to build for the future and put everything into Farve. He put together a patch up team. A bunch of vets and over paid guys who always got hurt. He was married to T-Jack and refused to look for an alternative. The defense was solid but aging. Childress was an offensive minded coach and did not really care for finding solid secondary players. Childress cut Moss without even telling the Wilfs because of being rude?!

Perhaps Fred you would enjoy having Dan Snyder from the Red Skins who pays millions for horrible vets, or the late Al Davis who could never keep a coach for longer than a season, or Seatle’s owner who sold out Mara Jr. for Pete Carrol??? Good owners know that when you pick a head coach you have to allow them to build their team their own way. When owners become too involved with player selection you get the Raiders or the Cowboys who havent had success since the early 90s. The most successful franchise of all time, the Steelers, have only had 5 head coaches and let them do it their way. You cant have too much turnover in a franchise.

Ray Edwards is going to have a career game going up against Loadholt

  56. By Parody on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

Desert – I wouldn’t be surprised if he does. Clay Matthews has been quiet on the sack front all year, but was able to rattle our QB with ease. I don’t understand why, but for some reason Loadholt has gotten worse each year since his rookie season, after which he was touted as a player who should have been selected in the top-10 of the draft. Now he’s looking like a sorry excuse for a backup offensive lineman.

It will still be seen whether or not the Wilf’s are good owners. For me it is how they handle the rest of the stadium issue. If they are able to keep the team in Minnesota, good owners. THE REST OF THE TEAM’S ISSUES DO NOT MATTER IF THE TEAM RELOCATES OUT OF STATE.

To sit and complain about past drafts is absurd, unproductive, and a waste of time, especially when there is a real push to take the team from Minnesota.

Worry about the so called relocation next year, the Vikes still have 6 games left this year.

  64. By Parody on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

Those 6-games are pointless. Winning any of them won’t help the team whatsoever. We have zero chance of making the playoffs, so our biggest concerns are what’s going to happen next year. The stadium is a BIG part of that, so it should be at the top of our list of concerns.

  65. By Viking Joe on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

Granted they are pointless to you, but I still think the stadium issue will hopefully be solved by next year, I am definitely not rooting for any LA team. Does anyone really think the NFL would condone a move to LA, what conference or even what division would they be in ?Is refurbishing the HHH Metrodome a quick fix temporary option?

  66. By Parody on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

The NFL is concerned about profit. That can’t be made at the Metrodome. LA is ready to start building a new stadium as soon as they get a team. LA is a big market, so I’m sure that even with mixed results on support for the Vikings moving to LA, they’d still be more profitable than a new stadium in MN.

You can’t refurbish the Metrodome to be profitable without a complete tear-down and starting over from the ground up. That’s because of the way it was built. They decided to take the cheap route with it, meaning that they were canceling out plans that would allow for future expansion/improvement.

There’s no reason they can’t remain in the NFC North if the Vikings move to LA. The divisions are already confusing as they are. Kansas City and St. Louis are in the West, Pittsburgh is in the North, Indianapolis is in the South, and Dallas is in the East. I doubt that adding one more team to that confusion would bother the NFL that much.

yeah wheres the REAL VIKING FANS who stay with them threw thick and thin.. i know i do vikings 27-24

  68. By Parody on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

Is making an unrealistic prediction your definition of staying with the team “threw” thick and thin? I hate seeing them lose, but the reality of the matter is that, from previous evidience, coupled with the fact that our best player will be sidelined this week, the odds are stacked heavily against the Vikings.

The Vikings have nothing to play for in the final 6-games, while the Falcons are fighting to get into the playoffs. WIth Detroit’s loss this week, they can move into a tie with them for one of the Wildcard slots.

I’m disgusted to admit it, but a part of me wants to see the Vikings continue to lose this season. The worse we do, the better our position will be in the draft, and I want as high of potential as possible for the future of this team.

  69. By Matt on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

LT should definately be our priority in the draft. I agree that we need a ton of help but you can find decent WR’S and DB’S in the second round. Good luck finding a good LT in the second round.
    Kalil is awesome
Martin sucks bad just watch the tape. He’s the next overrated flop waiting to happen
Check out Riley Reiff too he’s out of Iowa. This guy is awesome. He has one of the quickest slide steps I’ve seen for a LT. Blackmon is a beast of a WR I’d be happy with him but we have absolutely no protection for our QB. I’d like to see us wait on WR til the second rd or later this year.
Morris Claiborne CB LSU is great in pass coverage and can be a game changer but he stinks in run support. He can’t hardly get off a block.
    LT in rd 1
Rd 2 I’d like to see CB Stephon Gilmore South Carolina, S Mark Barron bama, WR Dwight Jones unc. All great options

  70. By CanadianVF on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

We have decent recievers but we do not have great recievers because we did not replace Sidney Rice. If we had a deep threat that would scare defenses and make them back off on the pressure, our O line wouldn’t look as bad. It was also said earlier that Loadholt has gotten worse every year since his rookie season. I believe his rookie season was last year was it not ? He is a road grader for blocking for A P , yes he needs to improve his pass blocking but most second year players are not fully developed as a player, give him some time to get better. If we are to get a great player at wide reciever or offensive line, I think we have to use the # 1 pick to acquire a wide reciever.

  71. By Parody on Nov 26, 2011 | Reply

Loadholt was drafted with Harvin, 2-years ago when Favre came to town. Midway through the season, “experts” were saying that we had a great draft having acquired Harvin and Loadholt, both of whom were said to have skills worth being considered in the top-10 of the draft.

Go here and read this article and Vikings players comments about this teams record and moving forward. You will see why I say trade Chad Greenway for Draft picks, He is one of the many clueless that believe the vikings have the players to when 6 – or 8 of there remaining games. On the other hand the guy we dont want to loose Jarred Allen Knows how bad alot of the players on this team are, And you can tell by his statement that if the Vikings dont get serious about Bringing in alot of talent through the draft and freeagentcy for 2012 he will insist on being traded in 2013 and next will be AP. Like i said on another blog post. The Vikes had better trade Greenway,Robison, B Williams, T Gheirhart, and possibly Harvin. And load up with pro bowl caliber players in the 2012 Draft. Its time for the Vikes to go all in in this Loaded Talented draft and Re build Right for Once. Or else this Vikings Franchise will fail to exist in a few short years.
