Just wondering why Remi starts at tackle when he has 2 tackles for the first 8 games. i see Evens and Guion have many more and do not start. Also Robison sacks have stopped coming will Emerson Griffen see more action at the end position?

  2. By Mike J on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

    @ billy

your right why is Remi starting I really do wonder what our coaches look for when they watch our games because it seems like the players who perform worst are the one who get the chance to play and I think Everson should be splitting reps with Robison since it is clear thathis side is our weak side him and Remi can’t stop the run.

  3. By Mike J on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Frazier when are you going to dump that stupid cover 2 zone scheme that you made become our primary defense since its clear that its not working? I’m seeing non elite QB’s shred our defense apart and if you have faith in the secondary so much to not bench anyone then maybe they are ok and its just you and Pagic who put them in bad position because after giving up 250+ yards to every QB we faced you would think someone would’ve got benched or adjustments would be made but its been the same story every sunday for our secondary

  4. By Tfunk3 on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Coach, what are you going to do with Joe Webb…the kid seems way too talented to be holding a clipboard just in case Ponder gets hurt. And why not move Griffen to safety and give Sherrels a shot…seems like we need to shore up the secondary for next year?

Sometimes its not a guys jib to make tackles …. Remi’s job could be to just plug the middle so the LBs can make plays. Remi’s job could be to keep OL off EJ

    Coach Frazier,

What do you know about the conspiracy to move the Minnesota Vikings to LA. It seems as though everyone but the fans and players are involved. From the state government to the referee’s to the NFL itself. What do you know?

  16. By naturalviking18 on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Why,don’t we use Joe Webb as a wide receiver? He could be the deep threat that we need and he could run post or fade routes. With his speed and vertical jump abilities he could be our big time receiver.

  17. By TITANIUM TITUS on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Why are these Packer fans yapping so much? They must deep down fear the upcoming game. What a classy bunch of fans. It is why I question their championship– did they really earn it or buy the referees? Seriously, a champion displays class– these fans anything but…

Coach Fraziar, will you get Web more involved in this game, such as a receiver or an running back?

Titus, if you loser fans were CLASSY, Packer fans wouldn’t rib you. If Viking fans were CLASSY then they would congratulate thier opponents on a win once in thier life. Apparently you can’t like any team other than the Vikings if you live in MN. Anyhow this is football, not golf. Dudes are out on the field pummeling each other. So take your class and do your golf clap with your little woman hands. The rest of us men will be busy watching the carnage taking place on the football field. If this is too unclassy for you Miss Titus then turn to curling you big sissy.

It’s obvious that he’s not doing that neither what whole did you see him plug their running all over his side even with J. Allen and K. Williams getting double teamed. How come teams weren’t doing that last year when big Pat was playing that alone should tell you he’s our weak link, we only got him because he was part of the saints Super Bowl victory.

  21. By mikey bee on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

did you ultimately think Mcnabb was the best choice for our team with the track record he had last year with the redskins and knowing that all the younger guys are firing up the league did that play a bg decision into why we didnt pick ponder right from the beggining of the season?

Trojan horse you don’t sound like a Vikings fan to me and you don’t sound like a person who ever played the sport football because since when was it cool to congratulate your rivals after losing to them. You got it twisted man this isn’t golf football is a game of payback so take all that classy talk back to golf you Packers fan

Cali packers fan, you and I could start an unclassy revolution. I wonder if these Queen fans get done reading our posts and slam thier fists down on thier coffee tables saying, “It is so unfair how these Packer fans come on our site and say unclassy things:-(” and then say, “I’ll show them, I’m going to post what I think life is like in rural America. I know it’s unclassy to make up stereotypes about other people but that’s different because it’s me and I’m an alletist, just ask me.”

Why do you Packers fans spend more time on our blog then you do for your own team is it that boring to be a Packers fan or is it just deep inside you’re Vikings fans who just jumped on the Packers band wagon after the Super Bowl because I’m getting tired of seeing you cheese heads commenting on our page

  25. By Jason on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Would it be possible to see some more of the younger guys play in the secondary? And the players i’m specifically talking about are Brandon Burton, Marcus Scherels, and Mistral Raymond. Also, I believe it would be a good idea to put Webb out at WR. If we indeed have our QB of the future then why should we waste a player with the talents that Webb has? Plus if he were to get injured then McNabb could just be the back-up.

YES!! CEDRIC GRIFFIN WOULD BE A VERY GOOD SAFETY! AS I BLOGGED ON OCT 17th:

I HALF AGREE, CEDRIC GRIFFIN HAS SEEN HIS BETTER DAYS AS A CB.

WHILE INJURIES, ETC, HAVE SLOWED HIM DOWN A BIT, CEDRIC IS TOO GOOD TO BENCH. I THINK GRIFFIN WOULD BE A GREAT SAFETY WHO COULD UPGRADE THAT POSITION FOR US.

MEANWHILE, AS I’VE SAID ALL ALONG, THE KID – CHRIS COOK – WILL BE A VERY GOOD CORNER – BARRING INJURY.

UPDATE: ALSO BARRING INDICTMENTS / PERSONAL PROBLEMS

Coach Frazier, Offenses these days are designed to pick apart zone defenses. If you watch Green Bay there passing game is all on rythem. But if you get them off of there rythem and be physical at the line of scrimmage with there WR’s that disrupts their timing and allows more time for our pass rush to get to the QB. The defense needs to play more Man to Man! And if at the end of the game they lose at least your players can look themselves in the mirror and say the other man won today. No more Zone!!! It has been proven it does NOT work in this day’s passing game!

  43. By DuaneN on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

    Webb should try returning punts.

  44. By CanadianVF on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

@ MATT, I think you make a very good point and I agree with you. The single biggest weakness this team has is defending the pass. It drives me crazy watching wide open recievers catch the ball over and over again. The last time we played the Packers I started to wonder if Rogers was ever going to throw an incompletion. I do not think we have the greatest defensive secondary but it is the system I bebieve is the main culprit. It has been bad for a long time not just this year and I have to lay it on Frazier because he is the common thread when he was the Defensive coordinator and now Head Coach, our defense against the pass continues to be one of the leagues worst.

  45. By CanadianVF on Nov 8, 2011 | Reply

Webb should hold a clipboard. He is not a punter or punt returner,He is not a corner or a safety, He is not a wide reciever or a running back, He is not a linebacker or a water boy. HE IS THE BACK UP QUARTERBACK ! Can you please give it a rest!!!! If you want to try him at all these positions you think he should play, then do it in training camp or the off season or whatever, but right now we are trying to win freakin football games.

Chris Cook is our best cb besides Winfield…. Chris Cook was doing so good this season being a lockdown cb… so good dont give up on him please do not give up on him Vikings….

  53. By Amish Viking on Nov 9, 2011 | Reply

Vegas Vike I am not saying that he can’t be a wide receiver but based on the posts they just think he should just start running pass patterns. In the off season make the switch and let him start to learn. By next season you might have a #4 receiver. You know the Vikings will trade or draft for a true #1. That makes Jenkins #2/3 or Harvin #2/3. Maybe I missed how great of a wide receiver he was in college. The Vikings drafted him as wide receiver and moved him to QB. The coaching staff must of missed his catching talent in college also. Focus on Griffen as Safety that would help the team more this year.

I know this “is the NFL” and it’s driven by professionals, but jeeze these are so fundamental observations being made here that it really makes one wonder about the coaching, game plans, etc.

It was nice to let Bernard berriman go, he just didn’t fit in our system. My question is, why don’t we get a playmaker receiver, a deep threat. I know T.O. and Randy moss are knuckle heads. But why not sign T.O. for the minimum plus incentives, 1.5mil base, with incentive he could make 4 mil. if we had that deep threat A.P. could get over 100 yrs every game.

  58. By 61vikings on Nov 9, 2011 | Reply

Hey Pack fans, your team reminds me of the ’98 Vikings!! Great offense and very little defense!! I believe we ended up 15-1 that year and lost to the Falcons who were 14-2!! One of the greatest championship games ever!! I see the same happening to the Pack this year!! We can only hope that the NFC championship game this year will be that good!! I believe the refs have thrown another flag on Charles Woodson for holding!! That guy gets away with holding on every down!! The Pack should beat the Vikes Monday night with the team they have now!! The years we’ve made it to the NFC championship game, we always swept the Pack!!

  59. By CanadianVF on Nov 9, 2011 | Reply

I do not need to U Tube anything to form an opinion. Okay lets try this another way. The very few who do actually make it through the ranks to actually play at the highest level, the NFL are the best of the best. Most of these players have become specialized to play a position and only one in order to make it to the top. I realize that high school players often do not play the same position in college but you rarely see players doing that once they get to the NFL. Yes a middle linebacker in college will play outside linebacker in the pros sometimes for example. I am not saying that it cannot happen because it has occasionally. My point is that while most of you have given up on this season and you want make all these changes and experiment and throw every rookie and practise player we have into game action to see what we have so we know how we should be drafting next year. That does not happen on any NFL team. The focus is about winning every Sunday. If you are not successfull and you do not win on a consistent basis, you will not be around very long. What wide reciever are you going to sit and take playing time away from in the middle of the season in order to see if Webb can be a wide reciever? I do not care what position he was drafted for if the coaching staff felt he truly had potential to help the team as a wide reciever they would have done that experiment long ago. Just Win Baby and nobody knows that better than the head coach.

  60. By Cali Packers Fan on Nov 9, 2011 | Reply

    @61 Vikings.
Your 98 vikes didn’t have a QB like Rodgers. I know our defense really isn’t what it was last year. I’m not quite sure what happened. But I know we’ll be back in the Superbowl. I know we’ll beat the Vikes on monday. But it should be a good game. ;-)

  61. By PURPLEHAYES on Nov 9, 2011 | Reply

Joe Webb’s name sure shows up on this blog a lot. Not sure why. It’s terribly obvious that he is not an nfl qb. As far as his passing ability, he wasn’t even a good college qb. He is fast and athletic. I agree with whoever said you can’t just experiment with him during the season. Either try to mold him into someone that can help the team at a certain position (not qb please) or trade him to someone that wants to spend the time to do so.

  62. By 61vikings on Nov 10, 2011 | Reply

    @ Cali Packers Fan
It didn’t matter who we had at QB that year, the Vikes were loaded with talent!! Chris Carter and Randy Moss at WR!! Both are future Hall of Famers!! Heck, even our second stringers could have started for other teams!! If there’s anybody in Green Bay that should get most of the credit, it should be Ted Thompson for putting together a great team, something we’re desperately missing here in Minnesota!! Remember, this team was just in the NFC championship game, two years ago!! It’s only because our front office didn’t address the issues we have on our team!! If the Vikings can’t win the division, I want to see someone in our division do well and go to the Super Bowl and win and represent our division well!! I still hate the Pack, Bears and Lions, as I’m sure you feel the same about the Vikes!! We just need to keep our Vikings in Minnesota so we can continue to hate each other and have something to talk about on these blogs!!!!

whoever believes that the playoffs are still a reality for the vikes is living in a fantasy world. Ya I hate your team. But I REALLY hate the bears more. And not to fond of the lions either, What I wonder is if the little tikes do leave who will fill the spot in the NFC north left by them? Anyway. As for the Packers, Ted Thompson certainly deserves credit for the Packers success, but Mike McCarthy, Dom Capers and most notably Aaron Rodgers deserve just as much credit. Hey 61 Vikings, you’re alright. But I stll hate the Tikes!! :-)
