So who are the corners for today? You got Griffen, Winfield, and Cook. Any others?
By Parody on Sep 11, 2011 | Reply
Sherels is the 4th CB. I’m looking forward to seeing him in action today. He’ll have a big challenge going against Rivers, so a good showing will say a lot about the young DB’s future.
I would have thought that the coaches would start Allen ahead of Sherels for at least the first week, which tells me that the toe is still bothering him. Lingering injuries can kill a team. It’s time to find a replacement.
By Parody on Sep 11, 2011 | Reply
5 of the 7 inactive players today are rookies. I’ve read that each one of them has plenty of potential to be contributors to this team. I suppose the short preseason can account for why they weren’t activated today. Not enough time to get a feel for the speed of the NFL yet, so the first few weeks will lean on backups who have a comfortable feel for the pace at this level.

Not bleak Parody, but people were starting to get excited by a few mistakes. Champions face adversity and do not cry about it– seems I hear year after year fans blowing around like paper in the wind, their emotions and attitude subject to the immediate physical sensory perception in front of them– at the whim of whatever happens at the moment. Champions do not behave that way– they face adversity with vision and focus.

The problem was the OLine couldn’t hold when we needed a pass play. McNabb didn’t have enough time for the plays happen. There was a few holes for the RB, but Chargers Def was over the run. We couldn’t Roll out as they were coming form the outside in. Predictable plays were an issue. Defense was too many openings in the secondary when the run was stuffed. The secondary with exception of Winfield is very suspect. We are going to see this all season now. Argh not so good.

Absolute disgrace of an offence. Have not seen a passing game that bad in the entire NFL in a couple of years. Offensive line was a joke as well, however no excuse for the QB’s disgraceful performance. If a highschool team had that few passing yards it would have been bad, never mind the highest level of football there is. Also good discipline by the D getting called for encroachment 3 times on the last drive…
