You posted piece on Kaepernick, but didn’t say anything about whether or not our organization is interested in him. Has there been or will there be a private workout or even a good conversation with Colin or any of his coaches regarding him? In your opinion (or guess, if you’d rather call it that), would he work well with members of our team and could he pick up on our offense quickly and do the job of his position effectively with our team?

Castonzo is a perfect fit for us. Has the vikings met with him or will they?

Some mock drafts have Locker going to the Redskins at no. 10. Where does this leave us? Do we with for the dude from Arkansas with great throwing mechanics at no. 12 or the guy from Florida State with an inferior but very accurate arm? I’d personally like us to draft the former as with his great arm and AP in there could make for a dynamic backfield. Don’t worry about the O-line, plenty of depth to get a potential starter in round two or even four.

Why does this website still have any reference to Favre or childress, they are gone and nothing to do with the team. It is very disrespectful towards the new coach. I am just amazed that you have allowed this to be the opening page for so long after they were gone.

What is the proper attire when interviewing a billionaire owner of an NFL team who is dressed in formal black suit at the venue of the Capital where legislators are in session? — from what I saw on the video, everyone was in suits.

Mike, I know I am rough on you, but iron sharpens iron— if no one calls you on your mistakes, you will never improve. BUT once again, as a professional writer myself, I must say, I am appalled at the mistake in your current article — when you used peaked for peeked, it was very bad for a writer, but the general populace does make that mistake. BUT in this article— UGH!

    Take a look:

Are the Vikings think about Picking up a free agent RB like Ronnie Brown, Ricky William, Darren Sproles, Tim Hightower, Joseph Addai, the list goes on and on. I would have to say it is not a big thing right now but we all now that Toby was great in college but we need a 3rd down back. For some reason we let Chester Taylor go but what do you think if we could get one later in the off-season?

Everybody says the Vikings are in need of a QB and maybe so but Joe Webb showed some raw talent last year reminded me of Randal Cunningham from his Eagles days.T Jack had 4 years experience on him but you would have thought it was the other way around against Philly.I personally think they discovered a hidden diamond in the 6th round last year. Will he get a shot at being the QB of the future or do the Vikings have other plans for him.

with Ryan Mallett I’m starting to think its exaggerated. If it is then it puts him top on my qb list. You look at what he can do on his highlights and game tape and its like d**n, he can throw. He can read defenses, calls protection at the line. has worked under center, Insane arm and good accuracy. He has Improved each year. And really doesn’t do too bad with the rush as everyone says, pocket presence looks ok to me, steps up, moves around well. definitely can’t run for a 40 yd TD, but thats why we have AP, harvin etc. played SCC defense against many players in the top 10 and put up great numbers. The main thing i see in Mallett then in the other Qbs is being willing to take shots, cut throat.

Hey Mike, with all the uncertainty of the CBA and the Star Caps situation, how good is Letroy Guion and are they confident with Jimmy Kennedy as well?

  17. By Vikings=love/hate-relationship on Apr 17, 2011 | Reply

@Rick Spielman The Vikings should trade down from 12 to around 20+, pick up a pick, and take an offensive lineman (carimi, smith, pouncey, sherrod). They should then use the acquired pick and likely a fifth or future pick, as well as their 2nd, and trade into the 20-25 range and draft mallet. Then resign Sidney Rice and Randy Moss. They wont take the division this year but they’ll sure be fun to watch.

    Randy moss is gone

The number one free agent we should pick up is Harvey Dahl out of Atlanta. He is the third best RG in the NFL. This would be a BIG need for us. do you agree?

Everybody has been attacking Ryan Mallett in the media, yet I have seen no proof of any positive drug test and according to his college coach Bobby Petrino, Ryan while at Arkansas never fail one drug test. Do you think the media has been unfair to Ryan Mallet during the days leading up to the draft?

What is the vikings most likely going to do, trade up,trade down or just stay with the pick?
