Favre Practices; Harvin Doesn’t

Posted by Mike Wobschall on November 11, 2010 – 3:58 pm

QB Brett Favre (ankle/foot/calf) returned to practice on Thursday and participated on a limited basis, but his leading receiver – Percy Harvin (ankle/illness) – did not.

Favre going from a non participant to a limited participant was the only change for the Vikings on their Thursday injury report.

The Bears had only 2 changes, with CBs Tim Jennings (knee) and D.J. Moore (head) listed as full participants after being limited on Wednesday. C Olin Kreutz (hamstring) did not participate in practice and CB Zackary Bowman (foot) was limited.

Not much of a concern here. Favre still starts, and Harvin still plays. Everything is normal in Vikingsland, well except for the Childress bickering. :)

Hey, Mayock says that the key to Vikings victory is O-Line and D-Line play…….WOW, I’m so glad that we have “Experts” like him to explain this rocket science to us. Thanks Mayock, we don’t have a clue what we would do without you and your expert advise!

It’s the reason why I go the blog everyday……to learn!

I believe that this team is cursed this year…..if its not Percy……its Sully……or Rice not making back yet…….or its Brett and his off the field stuff….its Moss….its Chilly……….its always something!

The “Experts” are saying that if we lose this weekend that Chilly is safe for the rest of the year……………Great!

Percy, we hope you’ll be a go on Sunday, but we do all sympathize with the pain of battling a migraine. Brett, start the game the way we ended it last year, scoring touchdowns in bunches. Good luck Vikes!

I think the reason the Vikings are winning is because of Favre. He did better with out Moss. Moss was an on and off the field distraction. I think Chilldress made a good call on waiving him. Brett is still the man!!!

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Minnesota’s Percy Harvin missed practice for a second straight day Thursday because of a migraine headache.

    The Herd with Colin Cowherd
Sean Jensen talks about players speaking out against coach Brad Childress. The players are fighting for each other. He lost the team by speaking out against Brett Favre and Percy Harvin and lacks people skills.

Coach Brad Childress said the wide receiver and kickoff returner was visiting a doctor again after his absence on Wednesday.

“Just under the weather,” Childress said, adding: “Whatever you do to make it through these things.”

OLD SCHOOL- Freddy & Insane are real piece of works. It is pretty obvious Freddy lives at home with mommy and Insane smokes too much dope. They should get together and smoke each others pole.

this needs to get to percy harvin, i used to have the same kind of headaches for years until i ran into a doctor who had the same problem and he told me when i felt one coming on to get an oxygen tank and turn it up high and take in pure oxygen until the pain went away, it worked great.

that reminds me of a Henny Youngman joke—–
patient goes to see his doctor, doctor tells him he has 6 months to live……
    hands the patient his bill.
Patient says Doc I can t afford to pay this!
Doctor says, Ok I ‘ll give you another 6months to live………

Between the ankle in the head is a heart like a champion. Harvin has been worth more than the risk when drafted. He is something special. While battling the migraine the ankle gets more time to heal.

That should have said, “Between the ankle AND the head”

Larry, that is an excellent question. Why does OLD SCHOOL continue to post on this site? Didn’t he swear that he wouldn’t?

  27. By taser the refs on Nov 12, 2010 | Reply

We should rest Percy and even Favre for the playoffs. At least Brett for the 3rd quarter. We might want to rotate in some of the bench linemen for some series too. And I think with a slower Brett in there we need to have more blockers like the 2 TE sets. If we rest Percy’s ankle, bet that GC and BB have even better games if Brett or Jackson is throwing to our jerseys.

Percy use to smoke budz in high school and college to treat his headaches but the Vikes told him he had to stop smoking and try other thing to treat it. Nothing better for a headache than a fat blunt of Funky Skunky.

WOW, I see that Larry and his buddy are still hot with me. I knew I had gotten into their little minds last week and stirred them up…both of them with loss of sleep…….

But come on guys, we are talking Football on this site! I’ve noticed that every post of yours is about me….not football……I’m trying to keep it clean because like one of the bloggers mentioned last week…..there may be kids looking in and I took that to heart…..

    SO WHY DON’T YOU TWO?!

If you don’t have anything about Football to talk about or about this team, which it seems that the both of you never do………..it’s always about me, “Old School “. I’m extremely flattered…..but the next two weeks are very important to this team and us……the teams fans………………..

SO YOU TWO GET IT TOGEHTER OR YOU TWO GET OFF!!!!!!!
