Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress just finished up his regular Wednesday press conference and we’ll have plenty to share later here on the vikings.com Blog. In the meantime, though, there are some odds and ends to take care of before the team heads outside to begin on-field preparations for the Chicago Bears.
The last question Childress was asked during his meeting with reporters was about WR Percy Harvin and how much he’d be able to practice on Wednesday given his ankle injury. As it turns out, Harvin will be held out of practice on Wednesday and it’s not because of the ankle.
Childress told reporters that Harvin is not in the building and won’t practice because he came down with a migraine. Childress did not go into any details regarding Harvin’s status, saying that there is a plan to get him back in playing condition. It should be noted that while Harvin has dealt with migraines frequently with the Vikings, he returned relatively quickly from his last episode.
Childress also told reporters that Colt Anderson, formerly on the Vikings practice squad, has been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles and will be placed on their 53-man roster. The Vikings filled the practice squad spot with CB Cord Parks, Childress said.
We’ll be back with more thoughts and updates from today’s press conferences.
