Of course who wants to be part of an organization that gets rid of talented players for talking, even if what they say is on the rude side … does this organization want to win football games or worry about peoples feelings?

Ive heard the Titans get a compensatory draft pick if they dont resign him. So basically Cilldress gave up 2 draft picks a Hall of Fame calliber player and about 7 points a game for the best interest of the team? I say no. The truth is Moss says what he thinks some people think hes an ass for doing so but at least hes being honest. Chilldress is not a strong enough man to hear truth, or tell the truth, he never gives an honest answer to any question. Like why did you cut Moss? because the answer would make Childress look weak. Moss is my second favorite receiver of all time behind Carter and my heart has been broken twice. 2-5 is not why Im done, Im done because Childress is a Hypocrit. It was not in the best interest of the team to waive him neither short or long term PERIOD

WAH WAH WAH … Randy said my food sucks

WAH WAH WAH … Randy said we should have kicked the field goal

WAH WAH WAH… Randy said he likes his old teamates

AWWW its ok we will waive him let some one else get a compensatory draft pick, a pro bowl reciever and let new england have our 3rd round pick, we dont need Randy talking or being honest

  5. By Coach Childress on Nov 4, 2010 | Reply

OK Im tired of the bashing

    1. We only gave New England a 3rd round pick

    2. The four games Randy was here were the best ofensive games weve had

3.We didnt need a compensatory draft pick we have too many

4.Im sure Basket will draw double and sometimes triple teams

But Randy used American right to free speech, that is not a Viking right we require players to do and say what they are told, and the food wasnt that bad

So as you see Randy had to go it was in the best interest of ME to waive him

I can’t even watch the little trolls pressers anymore, he makes me feel physically ill. If it wasn’t in his contract and inthe league regs, he wouldn’t have pressers, and it would probably be in his best interest if he didn’t. I never have liked him as a coach, now I can’t stand looking at the man at all. Yeah, Moss was an A Ho le, and maybe he couldn’t be brought into Childress’ fold, so to speak. Couldn’t you keep him down for 2 more weeks ’til Rice gets back? No offense to the players or the fans, but I hope the Cards kick the crud outta our team this week. If that doesn’t get the weasel sh it canned, nothing will.

need to start thinking about a few years down the road now. team should be playing other players to see what we have at this moment and give the young guys some experience at the NFL level.

As coach, Childress showed some real guts to waive Moss– do you naysayers think Childress didn’t know all of you would be hating on him? He acts as a true leader– sticks to his convictions regardless of what the herd thinks. There are a lot of people in the world that love to run with the herd. True leaders don’t come around very often–Childress has true leadership qualities. GIVE HIM A STANDING OVATION ON SUNDAY! SUPPORT HIM AND THE TEAM– wow, that would be something and show the world Minnesotans are not petty, whining, wavering spoiled fans who only support someone when they perform tricks well. STICK BY THE TEAM WHEN THEY ARE WINNING AND LOSING

  13. By Pete on Nov 4, 2010 | Reply

Adrian Peterson will lead the team to victory against the Cards. Farve is warmed up and will run the offense. Leslie will call good plays on Defense. Chilly will sit on the sideline and CRY because Farve won the game for him by calling audibles at the line. Then he will have his feelings hurt again as he cares more about being a CONTROL FREAK, than winning games. Did they just give Chilly a contract extension at the end of last season, to be coach to the end of 2014? You are kidding me.

  14. By Frederick Jones on Nov 4, 2010 | Reply

STICK BY THE TEAM WHEN THEY ARE WINNING, AND ALSO WHEN THEY ARE LOSING. We got excited when the Vikings got Moss. We have to trust management that they made the right decision to get rid of him.—————————————–C’mon man, you knew it was a risk!

I do admire true leadership– not making decisions based on the herd that thinks they have all the answers, but making the hard, unpopular decisions. Childress showed incredible fortitude to waive Moss– that was a big and risky move. But I have to say Childress is a true leader– Some on here think Moss was just mouthing off– no, you cannot have an undisciplined mouth yapping negativity and win games as a team. Great job Chilly on staying with your convictions. Do NOT listen to all the negativity. WE ARE WITH YOU CHILLY!

If Mr. Noodle is such a “great” leader, then why does favre have childress wrapped around his little finger? Ill tell you, because he is a loser of a coach. Ive never liked him. I was starting to give him the benefit of a doubt last year, but now with all of his vanilla play calling. poor decisions and lack of football knowledge. I knew my gut was right about this clown.

Matt thanks for agreeing with me about Childress being a great coach– some may call it Favre wrapping Chilly around his finger, but in leadership training, this is called delegation– a sure sign of a leader. GO CHILLY!

think you have me wrong, childress a horrible coach, who has no football knowledge and makes bad decisions constantly. he needs to go and Frazier needs to be in charge of this ship. GO Frazier!!!!!!

we will never be a great team until chilly is gone. he has no leadership skills, very little football knowlege, terrible assistant coaches in the box, he lies and tells half truths to our players, cuts players that help the team and even lies to the media. anyone notice the media isn’t being nice to him anymore by asking vanilla questions? there is a reason for that, he lied to the media, and paybacks are a bit ch

it’s really a shame that Chilly was gutless enough to let Moss go. it was all a power trip, that will cost us fans to watch a losing year go by the wayside. Moss had a guy over the top all the time, now we see 8 men in the box all the time again. once were out of the playoff race, i can’t see us selling out anymore. there will be empty seats and empty hearts. thanks Chilly !!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, winning would make everything easier….but supporting this team does not mean that we as fans have to agree with every decision made by management…quite the contrary. As fans we are not lobotomized cheering machines.we are intelligent, independent minded, and have many different points of view.
But it is noteworthy that most are in agreement about the terrible coaching decisions and the lack of consitent play of our team.
THIS TEAM IS IN SERIOUS DISARRAY!
WE WILL BE LUCKY TO WIN 5 MORE GAMES………

I just read somewhere that Berrian is once again going to be the starter. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WILF SHOULD FIRE CHILDRESS. Greg Camarillo should start over Berrian. Berrian is having the worst year of his career, he can’t catch the ball consistantly and commits stupid penalties. SO WHY THE H E L L does Childress start a player that isn’t performing well? THESE STUPID COACHING DECISIONS HAVE TO STOP!

  33. By Mike on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

I’m Sorry. I cannot support Brad Childress. I don’t even want to discuss it anymore. Childress needs to be fired. Its that simple. He should get no respect from fans, media, ownership and yes even the players. He wanted the power and the glory, now its become the humiliation and disgrace.

I will be supporting the Vikings like I always have and always will, but I will not be in favor of Childress being the coach now and in the future!!! Lets put it this way, “Its in the best interest of the Vikings that Brad Childress be fired. We wish him luck in his career.” That is what should be happening!!!

  34. By F*CK Chilly on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

I seriously cannot take it anymore… Childress infuriates me sooo much every time i see his stupid face i want to kick in my flat screen and burn down my house.
YOUR RUINING MY TEAM CHILLY, JUST LEAVE ALREADY!

i was sooooo excited that we actually picked up my favorite receiver of all time and you cut him before we really even get to test him out…? before we had the chance to have Moss, Rice, Harvin, Shiancoe, Peterson, and Farve all out on the field at the same time!!! We would have been unstoppable!!! Why? WHY?!

Just leave already. Please, just go. Walk out on the team, before i do.

  35. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

the sad part of this whole thing, Chilly won’t get fired until we are out of the playoff race. so a good coach will not be able to come in and salvage the season, period. we as fans, come out losers again

Salute Childress- I like what you have to say about Childress and leadership. He does stick to his convictions regardless of what the herd thinks.
However, a good leader is only a good leader if the herd wants to follow! You can’t be a good leader if you are a loner! We will find out Sunday if the “team” believes he is a good leader by what they bring to the field.

Can I return my tickets for Sunday’s game and every other game Childress is coach? Fire Childress or I won’t be renewing tickets for next year.

  39. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

Carl K-chilly is not a good leader, he is a lier. a good leader has a winning record. Wade Phillips has more wins they chilly and Wade is going bye-bye at the end of the year.

  40. By Carl K on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

Fire Childress – I am not saying I disagree with you. However, he does have a winning record up to this point. All I am sayin is this game will be a “sure indicator” if he is the leader of this team. I believe last year they were successful because of Favre’s energy and leadership. I will give Childress one shot this weekend to see what this team can do. You can’t not be a good leader if people do not want to follow you or like you or trust you. Does this team want to put it all on the field for him? We will have the answer Sunday.

  41. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

he has lost the locker room. sure they will probably beat Arizona, but they won’t do much else. a 39 and 33 record is not a winning record. thats barely over 60 percent. look at some of these other coaches who have 70 percent and 75 percent winning percentages, some even 80 percent like Bill B. those are winning records that go to the playoffs just about every single year. like i said, Wade Phillips has more wins over the same time frame then Chilly.

  42. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

i can pretty much guarantee you his winning percentage will fall below 50 percent if he’s still around by the end of next season. a good coach is consistant year after year, like Bill B. Bill’s qb, Brady went down the whole year and still sent 11-5 with a back up qb

  43. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

like i said a good coach is consistant. going 12-4 one year and the following year starting out at 2-5 is not consistant, especially with all our talent. thats a sign of very bad coaching

  44. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

and another point, good coaches don’t cut pro-bowl players. they know how to handle players. they don’t go crying and cut a player due to a ego trip. they also don’t lie to the media

  45. By fire childress on Nov 5, 2010 | Reply

a good coach does not have 12 men in the huddle in a nfc championsip game when they are ready to kick the winning field goal. a winning coach knows when to challenge a play. a winning coach does not have vanilla playcalling, a winning coach has good assistant coaches upstairs, a good coach does not go for it on a 4th and 2 in the 1st quarter when a field goal could of been kicked. a winning coach does not cost the team wins

Haha how can some of you guys possibly support a coach that took our Super Bowl contending team and let them fall apart to 2-5!
I mean comparing him to Belichick is just a joke. Belichick knew how to handle a player like Moss. Belichick wouldn’t have let Chester Taylor, our reliable 3rd down back go after the great 1, 2 combo we had going and the solid pass protection he had when we knew old man Brett really needed him.
Chilly sucks and complaining about it online is NOT going to affect anything that happens to the team this year… Its not going to send them off to LA cuz we complained on some blog….. although i wish they would cuz i live in LA!
