Peterson Carries Vikings To First Score
Posted by on October 31, 2010 – 2:58 pmVikings RB Adrian Peterson has seemingly taken the pressure off of QB Brett Favre and his injured ankle by rushing the football 8 times for 39 yards on the Vikings 12-play, 76-yard scoring drive to take a 7-0 lead against the New England Patriots.
The Vikings are showing their ability to methodically move the ball down the field against the Patriots defense. Peterson has 60 yards on 14 carries while Favre has completed 4 of 4 passes for 40 yards after 2 offensive series.
Vikings WR Percy Harvin injured his left ankle on a 21-yard reception during the scoring drive and his return is listed as questionable.
The Patriots are currently driving the football into Vikings territory early in the 2nd quarter.

AP is truly a bright spot in this uncertain season. He is the best RB in the NFL, no doubt about it!!!!!

C’mon Jared!
How many games are you going to be shut down by 1 man?
By PurplePeopleEater on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
Let’s just forget about Chilly now and hope the players can too. I really think they have a chance even if they don’t rely on the schematic genius.
By TWVIKE on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
Is Chilly keeping AP on the bench for a reason?
By Techie3 on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
How can anybody have a chance when their coach is an idiot that places the blame on everybody else. You think that doesn’t affect the moral of the team.

Brad here-
I decided to rest AP cuz I did not want to make NE feel bad about us runnig so well.

Favre’s looking good so far today. It seems that the holliday is doing a good job of rejuvenating the zombie.

Dammit. Why does Chilly think that we can’t win with field goals??
By Techie3 on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
You really surprised them with that play Chilly.

Brad here-
it was an Xes and Os kinda thing…….the gaps were the real deal…….in the trenches…eyeball to eyeball…..we kinda were lookin for some adjustments
By TWVIKE on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
I give Chilly some credit for going for it. But why run AP into a mass of Pats? Let him use his speed around the outside. We are in this game. Go.VIKES!!!!
By Techie3 on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
We will never get to the super bowl with this guy as coach. His play calling and stupid challenges and non challenges keep taking away points/

i want to know one thing. why does jared allen continue to get man handled? brady has all day to throw the ball. i dont know whats up with the d line this year. but if we can put pressure on brady, then we take this game. plain and simple
By rocksalt on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
right on, soldier-
Jared has not been much this year. Every game he is handled by one offensive tackle…….he is not even being chipped by a TE or RB…….
By PurplePeopleEater on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply
Aleen’s getting manhandled because he is blitzing to the outside EVERY time! The OT doesn’t even need to guess, he just needs to slow him down a little and push him around the backside of the QB.
MIX IT UP JARED – you just may like the results!

FIRE CHILDRESS!!!!!!!!! Please ask Childress why he did not TRADE Moss if he doesn’t get along with him… Atleast then we would get an actual person to replace Moss AND next year’s 3rd round draft pick! I’m a registered nurse and I could keep my cool and make better decisions than Childress!!!!!! He has GOT
TO GO!!!

FIRE CHILDRESS NOW !!!! He has been unimaginative in an offense with great tools in which he should let his OC handle – he was the same way in Philly – BORING. I was mad at the Vikings for a long time after trading Moss the first time, now I cannot forgive Childress this time. Yes, Randy was out of line, but only after he was not respected or listened to by the coaching staff – because I guess they know all the answers. Why can’t a head coach find a way to get along with the 2nd best receiver all time – or the best QB all time as well. As a long time season ticket holder, I am considering dropping my tickets. I am putting away all my Viking garb and taking down my flag for this season unless Childress is fired or we sign a new receiver like Larry Fitsgerald – or fire Childress and hire Frazier and re-sign Moss quick! I am not the only one who has not liked Childress from day 1 and he keeps proving my initial sense. Mr. Wilf, you are not going to get a new stadium with this coach. If you are truely all in for this season, you need to do a lot of work very quickly to salvage the last bit of magic from Brett just as he is starting to play better. Even though we were 1 and 3 with Moss here, we were playing better offensively each week against a tough schedule – I don’t see that continuing with Moss gone now. Poor Percy. Could have been the next Wes Welker.
