Patriots Quickly Answer With TD

Posted by cjsiewert on October 31, 2010 – 4:05 pm

The Vikings took a 10-7 lead following a 24-yard FG by K Ryan Longwell but the Patriots quickly answered with a 65-yard TD pass from QB Tom Brady to WR Brandon Tate.

On the TD play, Brady was pressured and forced to roll out to the left side. After nearly getting sacked, the Patriots QB found Tate down the left sideline for the 65-yard score.

The Patriots lead the Vikings 14-10 half way through the 3rd quarter.

We need a differenr quarterback, we cant keep handing the ball over, vikings were playing ok till the interceptions; defense is ok against the run thats all ,this may be the last game i watch unless their is changes, some of our defenders in the backfield look dumfounded!!! and some cant tackle like we seen when they the patriots scored their second touchdown. they gave the game away again oh yea and fire the coach

Mr. Childress, you convinced Mr. Wilf to pay, a lot of money for Moss, why are you not utilizing him? Step outside the box man, and think, swallow your pride and stop running plays that do not work! Mr. Wilf, are paying attention? Fiscally, you can not afford to keep Mr. Childress.

ROBINS, keep being positive, but we are out numbered as 4 is to 1.

  38. By Conner on Oct 31, 2010 | Reply

Positives to go on from here: 1. No one player is blaming other players, or complaining about not getting the ball. 2. None of the players are outwardly criticizing the coaches. That’s when you fold the tent and look forward to the next tractor pull at the Metrodome. Childress is not the most talented coach, bu he is trying for this team to establish their identity in a bold way and move forward. Going for it on 4th and 1 with A.P. That Touchdown could have really motivated this team far more than a Longwell fieldgoal. Aikman, and the radio commentators felt it was the correct call. Best coaching they did today though was when Favre came out, calling a play that suited T-Jacks talents when he’s coming in cold. The team executed for the Tahi touchdown with no penalties and everyone picked up their block. The two point conversion was a tremendous credit to Harvin, and to T-Jacks credit he put it where only Harvin would have a chance to get it. This is a year a 9 and 7 and possibly an 8-8 team will make the wildcard game from the NFC. The Packers proved today why they should go far in the playoffs. They haven’t beat themselves all year, so they took the points every chance they were available. 9-0 over the Jets. Fluke injuries, poor advice for Sidney Rice or he should have been playing every game, no depth at corner. Favre’s pick today, was on Percy Harvin.

Negative: Bernard Berrian, I beg of you! If their is anything of redeeming value in your character, donate your game check to a needy charity. When your Q.B. is getting creamed and he still has some faith in you and throws you the ball, catch the #*@* thing! You are a tremendous disappointment!!! Your teammates should call you out.

Disappointing pressure on Brady. On a Greenway blitz he gets stymied by Woodhead who is listed at 5’9 200 lbs. That’s a mismatch Greenway has to win. T-Jack did perform well for what he was asked and prepared to do. Benny Sapp played well for the Dolphins today, to bad we couldn’t use him. Greg Camarillo doesn’t even get on the field and we traded Sapp for him. HMM…

Deion Sanders believes “That if Favre doesn’t start next week, he’s done.” He believes the team will rally around T-Jack and make a run. I believe Deion may be right. However, I see a scenario with Favre getting 3-4 weeks off, Having the team bounce back to .500 and having Favre lead them down the stretch for the final 5 or 6 games for a 9-7 record. Favre will play well by the playoffs when healthy.

when your the head coach, the players have to buy in to what your selling. the players are not buying !!! when you let the clock tick down to nothing with 40 seconds left and 2 timeouts, with a chance to score at least a field goal, your telling the team you don’t trust them. chilly lost the team. we can’t make the playoffs with Chilly aboard period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Brett played great but he is only 1 person, the entire team needs to step up. I haven’t given up hope, I still think we have as good a shot as any team in the NFC north. The Packers aren’t exactly tearing it up either. They actually lost to the Vikings if you recall…if not for the overturned TD for the Vikings & the non-TD for the Packers. I think the fans need to continue to back the team, otherwise why even play the games since all you bashers have already written them off. Can’t wait to see when we make the playoffs to see what you all have to say then. It can still happen, you just gotta believe & I do!!

I agree with all on the firing of coach Childress. This guy has got to go. I stated some time ago the Vikings will not succeed with this guy. Also some of the players need to go especially Bernard Berrian. Other coaches need to go as well. At this time there is not one single defensive player worthy of pro bowl selection. The defense absolutely sucks — can’t tackle, can’t stop the run and no sacks. They resemble a combination of tired old fat men and non tackling wimps. They are not tough and certainly lack passion. When it is required to to make a stop to provide the offense an opportunity to win the game, they constantly come up short. Why is it game after game each and every team put enormous pressure on Favre and the Vikings defense can’t deliver the same will on the opposing quarterbacks. So I say for those players at season end wishing to rertire let them go and do not seek in any way or fashion to bring them back. Clearly their heart, mind and soul are no longer in the game. LBjr
