who is the third party person who provided the photos, etc. to the website magazine? why is no one questioning this person??????? If this person did this without Jen’s knowledge or consent, what are the leagal implications of that??? was was this third party’s motive, revenge, embarassment, or money???? i find it interesting that everyone is talking about Favre and Jen, but no one, not even the NFL is exposing this third party individual who supposedly provided the news station with the stuff. go figure????????

the website guys were suppose to talk to the nfl. On the foxsports website it says the nfl is putting this on hold till they get info from jens phone.

meswant, i understand that the NFL is supposed to talk to the website company, but what i am asking is that ,who is the unnamed “third party” individual who provided the info to the website company in the first place and got this started? that person has yet to be identified and is always mentioned as a “third party”. if the “third party” possibly took this info from Jen without her knowledge(off her computer, or whatever), and then sold/or provided it to the website company , isn’t that THEFT? who is this person who started this, and why haven’t they been identified????????????

brian, this is an awfull way to get Brett back if what you are saying is in fact true. he turned them into a 9 and 7 team. the same record they had last year when they made the playoffs. the previous year i think they were a 4 win team. he set them on the winning track and took young players like Keller under his wing and grew them into stars. i do find the timing of the release of this info, to be very interesting, the week the vikes played the jets, and 2 years later.

Who cares if Favre showed his tally-whacker to her. This is called Jet-sh!t. Robust Rex Ryan knew the Vikings would beat his team, so he had to start a bunch of BS to get Favres head out of the game. Isnt this BIMBO on the Jets payroll? Didnt she massage manmeat? So she rubs down nude football players? I have not heard her come out and say anything about Brett. It is funny how all this came to light, right before we played Jets on Monday Night. What is next Rex?

  19. By TWVIKE on Oct 22, 2010 | Reply

I am sure glad our brain trust took Toby & Cook in the draft. Chilly plans on trading our next #1 pick for a punter. Ours is wore out!!! Taylor Mayes looks good in SF.

  20. By Frederick Jones on Oct 22, 2010 | Reply

Kluwe looked great against the Cowboys! We do not need a punter. However there could be some future events that lead to the Vikings drafting a punter.

What is wrong with that? They do draft punters, and kickers. Besides, the coaches do not have final say on who we draft.

Someone blogged that we should root for our team, and not complain about individuals. That was smart because football is a great team sport, and only a TEAM can win. Ask Joe Kapp about that one (Rememer his 40 for 60 rant).

I have never read anything good said about Tarvaris Jackson in this blog. However he has a stronger arm than any QB on the Vikings. He is working hard to become a great QB, and I think he will become one.

In the mean time we are luck to have a Hall of Fame QB with a great team behind him.

Brad Childress was the coach of the Vikings last year. It was a good year. He made some great decisions.

What good decisions? Playing, and utilizing Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin, and Brett Favre. I doubt Brett Favre would have been in Mpls. if it hadn’t been for Childress.

Bernard Berrian will come arond this year, if he doesn’t get discouraged by all the vikingfan hecklers.

Who made the decision to move Leslie Frazier to Defensive Coordinator?

    Answer: Brad Childress

  24. By Frederick Jones on Oct 22, 2010 | Reply

Childress was hired in 2006. Frazier became defensive coordinator in 2007.

Gee, do you think he had anything at all with the decision to hire Frazier as defensive coordinor/assistant head coach.

Did the Vikings draft well with our late round draft choices in recent years?
    Peterson, Rice, Harvin, etc.

    When was Jared Allen obtained?

Childress has made some great decisions over the years. You are badly mistaken, Brad Childress is a great coach!!!

T jack will never be a good quarterback.what good does it do if he can run and has a good arm. thuth is, he can’t read the defensive coverage, even after being in the league 4 years. he will never be a franchise quarterbac, we should trade him, or let him go when we find a quarterback or draft a qb. lets try to pick up Vic or McNabb next year

Deanna Favre released a statement today. “The pictures that Brett sent out were intended for me.
In no way did he mean to deliver them to into the hands of Jenn Sterger or any one else but me,
but you all know Brett – they were intercepted.

Come on, fc, that was a pretty funny joke. You could maybe become a little less uptight and see some humor in the Vikes situation.

Fred Jones: I believe Spielman handles the draft and the roster, with Childress’ input. Childress is a decent coach tues thru sat, its sun/mon that he falls apart. The team plays very uninspired football… 3 yards and a cloud of dust style. If Cowher decides he wants back into the NFL, I don’t think I’d bat an eye at replacing Childress. Or Chuckie, for that matter. If we had chuckie, at least we’d have a large pool of QBs to pick from :)

Woodboat- You said it perfectly, UNINSPIRED FOOTBALL!!!!!! Being a pre-season favorite to go to the Super Bowl went to their heads. They seem to have forgotten that you first have towin in the regular 16 game season. The NFL does not give you victories for simply showing up. Cower,Gruden,Dungy,or Billick are welome here.

We just have to more the ball. So far this year we don’t get going until the 2nd half when were down in the score. Come out strong with Favre and AP, and finish strong. Defense is playing good, but this week we need to get more pressure on Rodgers. Go Vikes!

  36. By fire childress on Oct 23, 2010 | Reply

if we can pull off a win this week, it may propell us to win the New England game too. lets get on a 6 game winning streak!

Billick is picking the Pack and Sterling is picking the Vikes, perhaps familarity does breed contempt. Tavaris did take us to a divisional crown. I think few of us have great confidence in him taking it all. I have no confidence in Favre lasting through the playoffs the way he is getting pounded, so TJ will most likely get his chance. If he gets more time than Favre, perhaps our team will go all the way. I’d still like to see a wildcat twist with Joe Webb running with Adrian. Many stagnant offenses have improved in the past by throwing out and simplifying the playbook. We have great players, but poor play – mostly on the protection…. go figure.

Old School- It truly is a must win for us in week 6. Moving the chains and ball control is critical. We cannot rely on our D to play most of the game and expect them to bail us out every week. #12 must be sacked and hit often. If given time he will pick us apart. Jared has to find a way to get after him. DBs, please catch a ball, dont let it bounce off your numbers. Keep AP in on 3rd down, GB is not afraid of Albert Young. O-line keep #4s butt off the turf and give him some time to throw. GO VIKINGS!!!!!!

Really, we all need to quit worrying about Brett and Jenn Sterger. As stupid a stunt as this was to send a picture, he has an issue to wrestle with his conscience and his family. We all cheer wildly when he throws a touchdown pass, then act shocked when we find out a star athletes private life doesn’t meet the same high standard we thought it would. Right now, Jenn is in negotiations according to an ESPN and Pioneer Press report.

Now, last weeks win wasn’t a smooth start to finish 4 quarter effort. I work 3-11 tomorrow night, and I hope to get home and turn on the NFL network and here them gushing over a 31-14 win and how the Viking defense harassed Aaron Rogers all night. Moss, Schiancoe, and Harvin receiving for touchdowns and A.P. running for 145 yards and a touch. We need to see continued improvement. Otherwise, last weeks win was just a temporary zeppelin of euphoria.

PS: I still think Leslie Frazier should be an NFL head coach now, but can the Gophers pony up the dough and bring this guy on board? I think he’d be an even better college coach.

Why would it surprise anyone that Tarvaris Jackson has a stronger throwing arm than any other Viking QB!

There are probably linemen on every team that can throw the ball harder than the starting QB.

It takes a lot more than just being able to throw bullets to make it in the NFL. Tarvaris Jackson has all the tools to be great in the NFL.

  58. By Frederick Jones on Oct 24, 2010 | Reply

If you have read the biographies of Unitas, Warner, and Favre you know that each of them were rejected by their first NFL team.

Bart Starr was once the 3rd string QB on the Packers. That was as a veteran!

It’s not hard to believe that TJack could be a great one!

“Balding, can dance a little.” Statement made by a talent scout towards Fred Astaire. (Became the greatest dancer of all time.)

  59. By TWVIKE on Oct 24, 2010 | Reply

Freddy Jones- Throw the ball a mile but seems te other team comes down with it. T. Jack has talent no doubt, but Brilliant Brad wants him to stand in the pocket and not run with it. T.J. is alot like Vick let him use his God given talents. He looks to be very uncomfortable standing there to long. If he can use his legs let him get us that 1st down. We knew what we were getting when we got him. As for now Favre is the man. I think we should bring T.J. into current games in some kind of wild-cat formation. It will definitly not hurt this sub-par offense. Bring in Webb also as a wide-out or in wild cat. Lets think of something original Chilly. 1st time for everything.

TJack still has difficulty with his reads. He has had 5 years…..This is a DO IT NOW league……..No current team has key players as 5 year projects……
