Please tell me that nobody has voted for Lord Favre to be on this list.

My only vote for a current player was AP, since he is poised to break the Vikings fanchise record for rushing, and has clearly established himself as a star in the NFL in a very short time.

purple08 plenty of people have voted for Brett Favre because of the legendary QB he is. In case you don’t watch football, he is the holder of almost every passing record there is. If you personally don’t like him, too bad, your loss, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.

why isnt percy harvin on the list?

I think Percy Harvin should be on the list. in 5 games into his 2nd season and he already has 3 kickoff returns for TD’s. That is beyond awesome.

How can you vote for any one who has only played a couple of years? Don’t you think that an honor like this should be earned over time? Many of those players gave the vikings a lot of great seasons. They deserve to be recognized for it. If your a younger fan that don’t know the older players, then do some research before you vote.

rocksalt- Moss and AP, great choices. I picked the same, as far as current players go.

50 greatest Vikings, this should inculde coaches like Bud Grant.

The Purple People Eaters (Page, Eller and Marshall) are automatic, as are Fran Tarkenton and Chuck Foreman. Anthony Carter, Cris Carter, and Randy Moss were a run of top NFL receivers playing for the Vikings. Just based on his playoff performance, alone, AC is a must. He was the most dominant player in the NFL in the late 80′s.

If any player was the best in the NFL, they deserve to be in the top 50.

Best Vike ever = Randall McDaniel. I wish we had him right now to go with Hutch…..that would be something!

Joey Browner, we sure could use him right now.

Wisvikefan4: Yes, but Favre will go into the Hall of Fame as a Packer. He will have played for the Vikes for 2 seasons you bloody fool. How can you vote for someone as one of the greatest Vikings of all time when he has only played 2 years? I know Favre’s career stats you as shole. It is disrespectful and moronic to even consider voting him onto this list. Put him on the top 50 NFL players of all time if you want or top 50 Packers… but leave him off this one. Stop being an idiot.

I have to agree with those against Favre being voted, 97% of all his glory came as a Packer, will go down in history as a Packer great and this is really no place for him.

Scott Studwell, Keith Millard, Chris Doleman, Robert Smith, just to name a few more!

Agreed. To date, Favre had ONE good year here. That is nothing more than a fluke to this point. This year he has been performing as if he’s 41 years old. FLUKES don’t deserve to be on the list.
