Did You Know? (Randy Moss Edition)

Posted by Mike Wobschall on October 12, 2010 – 12:19 pm

WR Randy Moss made his debut with the 2010 Vikings on Monday night in the team’s 29-20 loss to the New York Jets. In his 1st game back with the Vikings, Moss wasted little time finding the endzone, scoring on a 34-yard strike in the 3rd quarter.

Here are a couple of facts regarding Moss TD…

– Moss now has 91 career Vikings TDs

– Monday night’s TD reception was his 51st in the last 53 games.

“Moss wasted little time finding the endzone, scoring on a 34-yard strike in the 3rd quarter.”

How is the 3rd quarter wasting “LITTLE” time? Let’s just hope that he doesn’t waste so little time in future games. It would be nice to get a touchdown or two in the first half of a few of these games…

Moss is a matchup nightmare. He will change the way defenses defend the purple all year long. He just went for 80+ and a TD against the top D in the league on 3 – 4 days prep. That is impressive! Keep up the hard work 84, we need ya!

Vikings Joe, I love the comment of "LESLIE FRAZIER FOR HEAD COACH". If you view my blog, I briefly mention the issues Brad Childress has had with play calling and the fact the Brett Favre knows the West Coast offense better than him. Most vikings fans have been angered greatly by bad play-calling from Brad Childress at some point.

It's great to see number 84 back in action in Minnesota after six years of absence. The new threat Favre and Moss present is going to be very interesting for the remainder of the season.

HE STILL HAS “IT”! HE’S ALWAYS HAD IT! AND THAT’S WHY THE RATINGS WERE THERE. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE FUSS OVER THE TRADE. MORE THAN JUST A DETERRANT TO THE ALLEGATIONS FACIN FARVE. THESE TWO GUYS HAVE RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER AND WHAT EVER IS TO COME OF THOSE ALLEGATIONS, MOSS IS THE MAN TO HELPGET FARVE THROUGH IT.ENOUGH SAID!

LESLIE FRAZIER FOR HEAD COACH!!! i agree, brad childress just really isn’t a good coach. if you have that much talent on the team and you can’t look like an elite team then you know its the coach. i don’t like the play calling by Bevell in the first half much either. i know i sound like a favre hater when i say this, but ive been a supporter of him coming back until this season actually started…. he just doesn’t look like Favre, he looks old, worn down, and its been made apparent by the recent scandal (which i realize has not been confirmed as true yet) that his gluttony of interceptions isnt the only evidence of his flawed decision-making process.Whether he is or isn’t guilty of this disgusting act, i hope justice is served. and if he is suspended then i hope that Jackson can actually take advantage of the receiving core and lead us to the playoffs…. and maybe even the superbowl. SKOL VIKINGS!

Go Randy! I remember the 1998 run you were setting records then and are still doing it, keep it up the Vikings need you. As a staunch Vikings’ fan I’m ecstatic that you’re back.

Now that,s Moss like it! He`s a superstar hands down! Why would a team not want to include him in their game plan? The answer is simple. The more he played the better the team was, which equals dollars signs to the owner. They shipped Randy out as quickly as possible before the Pats ap dog began to cry for Moss. Inn return the get their mvp wide receiver who left them b/c of contract issues. You`re home now Randy and the Vikes better make you an offer you can`t refuse. Oh yeah Mr. Wilf can we get a quaterback this year Donovan will be available at the end of the season.
    Randy for president.

How about making this the year that Moss breaks Gerry Rices TD record? What does he need…like 45? With Moss that can be done.
