Heavy Rain Falling In East Rutherford

Posted by Mike Wobschall on October 11, 2010 – 5:45 pm

Heavy rain is falling in East Rutherford, NJ and fans inside the New Meadowlands Stadium have retreated to the concourse for drier conditions. Coaches and players have done the same and the in-stadium video boards are now requesting fans remain inside the concourse until further notice due to lightning.

It’s very possible that kickoff will be delayed due to the weather conditions.

Stay tuned…we’ll update you when we get more info.

UPDATE: The lightning warning has been taken off the in-stadium video boards and some fans are shuffling back to their seats. The Jets are on the field doing a pre-game stretching routine and the Vikings remain in the locker room. The rain is still coming down hard. Stay tuned…

ANOTHER UPDATE: Vikings players are now on the field. Rain still coming down.
