The Vikings and Jets released their initial injury reports of the week on Wednesday, but with all the activity around Winter Park and on we are just getting around to mentioning it on the blog right now. Remember, you can always check the Vikings most recent injury report by going here.

The Vikings last injury report prior to the bye week listed 9 players, but this week’s initial report lists just 5. Let’s get to the details…

CB Chris Cook (knee) was the only non-participant, while TE Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring) and C John Sullivan (calf) were listed as limited participants. QB Brett Favre (ankle/right elbow) and T Bryant McKinnie (finger) were full participants.

The Jets listed 8 players on their report, 5 of which were limited. Those players were: DE Shaun Ellis (knee), T Wayne Hunter (shin), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), CB Darrell Revis (hamstring) and LB Jamaal Westerman (ankle). Three other players are on the injury report but were full participants. They were: RB John Conner (neck), LB Calvin Pace (foot) and LB Jason Taylor (elbow).

Why wasn’t Childress listed on the injury report for being mentally handicapped? Oh, and Brett Favre for having “Rex Grossman” disease? which, by definition is, a canon arm but can’t put it anywhere
