Is that an autographed picture of Moss or Childress? Because if it’s the latter then I don’t even want to take the chance that I’m going to win it…

After winning the Super Bowl this year will Randy be able to help convince Brett to come back for another year?

Somebody please buy Randy a Sweet MN Twins Hat to wear.

Will Randy be back to wearing his #84 jersey or will he be stuck wearing yet a diffetent #

This move will drive defensive coordinators crazy no more putting the safety in the box as an 8th man because our receivers will make them pay. Does this move do anything to Petersons carries will the numbers decrease now that we can spread the ball around?

How much minutes will Randy play on monday night since I’m guessing he’s still familiar with out offense?

  7. By mike j on Oct 7, 2010 | Reply

Logan payne got released and plus moss would get the number anyway he made 84 for the Vikings, when you talk about 84 you talk about moss not anyone else

Is their a chance that Sidney wont be back still for an extended period of time? Or, first reports were that he could start back sometime near the end of October. Well, now we are into October, is that still a possibility?

After Sidney comes back who will be the odd man out? Will you be looking to trade Berrian?

    Welcome Home Randy!

    Dear Coach,

Now that the Vikings have aquired Randy Moss, will you delay Sydney Rice’s return to ensure his hip has completely healed and he is 100 % ready to return to active play and not risk bringing him back a little early ? There was talk that he may not return this season in a ‘ worst case ‘ scenario if his hip takes longer to heal.

However, if a 100 % healthy Rice returns this season to actively play with the team, you must be drooling over the fact that a combination of Rice, Moss, Peterson , Harvin, Berrian, Shiancoe and Favre is about as good as it gets and should drive game opponents defensive co ordinators absolutely nuts trying to devise ways to cover them all.

Do you think Brett is grinning from ear to ear ? I would be !! Thanks

OMG! I am so happy to see Randy Moss coming back to the Vikings! This is going to be an awesome season! I can’t wait to go to the games! ALL of the Vikings make it exciting to watch-every one of the men are incredible!! Yes!! I am grinning from ear-to-ear too!

It’s great the Randy is there but if that Off. Line does not do better protecting Favre its not going to matter. COME ON O LINE GET IT TOGETHER!!! Give Favre the protection he needs.

when randy was playing before the vikings had a great o-line, but the last couple of years it has gone down hill and i’m concerned that brett won’t have time to throw any bombs, the o-line will have to pick it up before it will pay off having randy there.

can we trade Berrian, greg Lewis, some of Brett’s cash, and a 2nd and 3rd round draft choice to to San Diego for V-Jack?????????????? Sidney might not be healthy in time.

Minnesota being a run first team, do you look to sell teams on the run early on in the game and then kick the door down with the pass game later on? And with our offense being more dynamic once again, do you see Leslie queuing up more blitz heavy packages now that our offense should be able to put up more points?

Will this give this team the much needed boost it needs to get this season on the right track?

i hate to be negative on such a happy day for most viking fans, but some of my memories of randy moss are of him running routes half speed if he isnt getting the ball thrown to him all of the time, do you think brett can keep him in line. it seemed to me that when moss played for us before that he was great until cris carter left and things went downhill after that. im a little concerned too because moss that i remember does not like to go accross the middle either.

My question is…if you going to give up a third round pick for a player, why not sign him up for an extension????

Coach Childress, Will you start using Percy in a Dual backfield next to Adrian Peterson now that Randy can strech the field?

  23. By Spanky on Oct 7, 2010 | Reply

It sure feels good to reach in my closet and pull out old #84,good to see you back and I like in New England!

Now that we have the receivers (or about to with Rice back in a couple of weeks.) Can we stretch out the defense with 3 WR sets/single back formation? Hand Peterson the ball with them all stretched out will pay HUGE divends. Can’t get any better in Peterson’s career than what is about to unfold. Lets Pound the Rock and make them pay when we force them to single cover Rice or Moss at times.

Wll Bret’s 500th touchdown be to Randy Moss?

Chilly, I hope you truly read this. If you recognize that the problem is the QB will you be able to make the change? I know as well as you that Tavaris is ready and built for the long hall. Bringing back Moss is excellent because he is a Viking from the start and arguably the best WR to play the game. You’ve made the right decisions relative to TJ. You had your lesson with Brad Johnson “everything appeared right, but it wasnt” I watched you in the playoff game against N.O. wanting/trying to put TJ in for that one down that utimately cost you a Superbowl shot. Pls do not allow others to go against your gut feelings regardless who they may be. Bringing in Randy eliminates any excuses from the QB. If the line is weak, you have to run. That’s part of the game. You lost two regular season games last year, because you did not follow your gut feeling that you needed a QB change, which ultimately almost position you for wild card position instead of clinching. Sure you may have still lost but you went to bed knowing you had other options that may have produce a better result. And lastly, insure that Tavaris get the reps with Moss and the Offense. You can’t blow another game on bad QB play. Tavaris would have won the game with Miami, because you schooled him to play your type of football “error free”. and he was prepared, in shape & up to speed. I know the politics & winning is the only that counts in the end. I’m sure kolb is getting paid more than Vick but Andy takes the win over popularity & salaries. Look out for yourself.

Who’s this guy —-^ I don’t think TJ could have won us that Week 3 game against SF. With TJ at the helm they wouldn’t have even been close to where they were last year. Brett makes plays where others can’t, and when you won’t even try, you end up on the sideline. You don’t start 19 consecutive years in the NFL throwing as many interceptions as Brett, you’d be lucky to start 2, unless you can make the big plays when needed. Case and point, Arizona’s 5th QB change this year.

That being said; Live by the sword, die by the sword.

EVERYONE and their mother forgets last year that the Vikings don’t even have to make that last play if they didn’t get the penalty for 12 men in the huddle right before that interception.

what were the vikings doin in the first place to trade randy to oakland?? obviously he’s the best reciever since chris carter, and we got nothing for him but a couple of picks and washed up linebackers. what was the goal?
