I feel VERY strongly that if Javon Walker was here playing in Berrian’s spot that we would be 2-0 right now. What are your thoughts?

  3. By Mike Wobschall on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

    I don’t think that’s the case.

How about using Joe Webb as a receiver until we (potentially) get Vincent Jackson or Sidney RIce back? He could be the vertical threat Favre needs and it would make sense as a temporary fix. We drafted him as a wide receiver and he is a freakish athlete.

Chilli: Football 1-0-1 “Comfort Zone”, and Farve is not there! You need to get someone he has played with or coached him in the past that knows how he thinks in the huddle or on the sideline. He obviously misses Chester, he has mentioned him in almost every post game. Fans say he is selfish. That’s B.S. He is old school, and he needs some one on that team or staff whose respect he covets, some one he will avoid at all costs when he walks back to the side line after a bad play. He needs to fear someone on that side line!!! Anyone who has ever played the game knows that feeling. You fear it more than anything and it drives you. You have a unique opportunity in the NFL. Favre is here for one reason only, He loves the game! He is not a college player looking to get drafted or player looking for a better team or money. He is there soley for one team and one team only. There is not a single coach in the NFL that has that, take advantage of it, and get who you need to in order to put him back in his comfort zone. Getting Steve Marriuchi somewhere on that side line would be an example.

I see Favre throwing the ball where there is open field, but the receivers won’t pull out of their routes. Do you think the recent struggle on offense puts added pressure on the Vikings to pay the steep price for V. Jackson?

I think the coach should be blamed for this loss.early in the game they had a chance for a field goal and went for it on fourth down and did not make early on th egame with no score he should have taken the field goal and it came back to haunt them at the end of the game when all they would have to do is kick a field goal to win the game.

You all droped Jackson In one second when lost in arizona playoff game..He, Mr Jackson got us there with winning 6 of last 7 games..Farve throws 5 interceptions in 2 games and a fumble in the endzone..Really lets put the blame where blame is do..Farve cannot scramble..Does not have the arm anymore and Really he needs to be benched..What coach would sit there and let the QB throw 3 interceptions and one fumble by the third quarter..And not bench the QB?

  12. By shannon on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

The offensive play calling seems to be very conservative, is Childress calling all the plays? Another question: Do you think Wilf should fire Childress and hire Frazier, before we let another great coach go to another team?

  13. By jason on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

what are the odds of getting another great receiver like moss in up to help us now not v jack he can’t play for four games so why waste the money on him in order to get a go to receiver that could help berrian and percy.

Let the QB call the plays not Chilly. Same play calling as last year, he’s to predictable!!!!

Kurt Wood: EVERY coach in the league would let Farve throw 3 int and fumble the ball and not bench him, especially when his back up is T Jackson. His interceptions, sir, were all thrown in attempts to give his receivers chances to be athletes. Harvin slips and falls and the ball goes skyward…. yeah thats Farves fault. Twice Berrian gets thrown to and doesn’t adjust to the ball AT ALL, just stays on his route and lets the DB get an easy interception. Farve is going to take chances with the ball with the expectation that his teammates are at least going to make the ATTEMPT on the ball. BB isn’t doing it.

Julio, if you could find the words to describe it, you’d most likely mispell them badly. It’s the Dolphins, bro.

  19. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

The play calling was ok for the most part. If you have a problem with that failed attempt on 4th down in the first, then you have no guts at all. If you have 28 in the backfield and are moving the ball well, heck yeah you go for it and send a message. Did it backfire? Sure it did, but if they’d have broke one and scored a touchdown, you’d have been claiming it was a genius play. Get over it, it was a good call.

  20. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

If the VIkes go for V Jackson, he has to miss 4 games. With the VIkes early bye, thats 5 weeks away, or 7 weeks into Rice’s expected 8 week recovery and return to the field. Would I like to see Berrian replaced with Jackson, heck yes. I’ve heard it will take 2 2nd rounders to get him though, and I don’t think they’ll pay that price. Quite frankly, I don’t think Jackson is gonna be enough to get us to the big game, judging by the level of disarray the team is in now. The coaching isn’t up to the task, obviously.

How does childress prepare this team whats up with the penalties, I think the egghead needs to learn to prepare this team professionally and limit down the penalties and play sound fundamental football. The only positive thing was peterson running like a beast and favre doing a trick fake spike and throwing to berrian. Common chilly if you can’t handle the job just step down and let someone take over this talented team. Tell favre to take a sack or throw the ball away he is going to cost us more games down the road if he keeps forcing things. I wonder why camarillo didn’t get the ball more often. Nice job utilizing ap he is clearly the number one back in the nfl.

Woodboat Let me see thru the ball deep into a 2 man cover and then right to the dolphin on the one yard lline with no way to comback too catch it..And yes I have more faith in Mr T Jackson..Then I do farve..Just like my frind said to me and he is a big farve fanatic..looked like a rookie was at quarterback today..

  23. By Mike Wobschall on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Just a reminder that Childress doesn’t call the plays; offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is the play-caller. And if the plays were so predictable, then why couldn’t Miami stop Adrian from running for 145 yards? I don’t think the playcalling is the problem. It’s mistakes and miscues, such as turnovers, that killed the Vikings on Monday.

How about getting Javon Walker back, use peterson as a slot receiver at times and using Joe webb as well? what are your thoughts on that? I mean, some of those interceptions weren’t favre’s fault. The receivers need to catch them.
Maybe bringing in jerry rice to teach these receivers how to catch the ball. When everything is going wrong blame brett, but the receivers need to step up and take that responsibility, it’s called your a professional football player. but using Joe webb, bringing Javon walker in and using peterson as a slot receiver and giving the rookies a shot if the vets don’t do it. dang, look at miles austin

    I really do not understand

    1. not getting the field goal in the first half. Those are points on the board. Twice in the end of the game they could have added a field goal to win?

    2. the play calling in the first half. They are running the ball down their throat and then they go empty back field – then 4 and out?

    3. I may see cutting Javon Walker, but letting Chester Taylor go last year? And trading Renaud this year…. that one has done nothing but come back and haunt the team since?

  29. By james on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

How about giving Freddie Brown and Logan Payne the practice squad WR a shot, sit the vets that are dropping the ball, have you seen the tape? the ball is on the numbers, they are not catching them. Sure, Brett will throw a pick or so, that is expected, Tom Brady does it too, but give the guys a shot like the Colts did to Austin Collie and Garcon in Indy. I am a former soldier, if i shot the wrong way, my sgt would beat my butt, stop blaming brett for this and that, and peterson. Use Joe Webb, use the WR on practice squad, Greg lewis, Tahi as Chester Taylor as an out or a short drop, common man. Please mention this. when Wide receivers think they are going to lose some of their time, they will catch the ball.

i am sure at the end of last season management reviewed the team they had and had an idea how to reach the final steps.. it looks like their strategy was incorrect…bad roster decisions and no significant upgrades…the way the offense is set up this team will struggle in every game to score points… on most kick offs the opposition will start on their 30 …we have no return game at all…wr have real trouble getting open or seperation ..looks like our new home turf is terrible for footing…add bad game calling and incompetence by childress …hope i am wrong but all signs point to a disater of a season …

  31. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Ok, Kurt. Both of his throws to Berrian that were picked were into coverage… did Berrian even TRY to make a play on the ball? No, he did not. Rice or any other quality number one would have at least made the attempt. Now your boy Jackson probably wouldn’t have thrown those particular interceptions. He is so inaccurate the DBs wouldn’t have had a chance to make the play. How much running room did AP have when Jackson was the QB? As I recall, AP faced 8 and 9 man fronts regularly with Jackson at the helm. No one in the league, and I mean NO ONE thinks Jackson is a number 1.

Yeah, and lets take a QB that has never played WR in the NFL and start him… good plan. I’m sure that his natural athleticism will make up for the years that he is behind every other WR on the team.

  32. By Rye_2832 on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

I think Favre is pretty picky on who he chooses to throw to, which can be expected cause i saw the same thing when i played high school football, i think there is some thing wrong with the playcalling, i dont who’s callin the plays but we spent big money for Berrian and the only thing he does is act like a DECOY!!! So my question is why cant minnesota find more ways or plays to get him the ball??? Would you buy a brand new big screen tv and just not use it? NO!

  33. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Wow, I thought Farve threw to Berrian TOO often. He doesn’t go for the ball, and has lead hands fairly often. Camarillo should get more chances, I think. He may not get many yards after the catch, but at least he catches the ball.

  34. By martin on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

it is not easy to win championships in any league but when that rare chance comes along you have to go all out for that.. sometimes you have to give up a bit of your future for the now teams do that , nhl teams and nba teams also…management of the vikings did not pull out all stops as needed but made decisions that are for a team that is still a couple of years away…

  35. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Mike, games are never miscalled if you listen to coaches. The team just failed to execute the plays as designed. They made individual errors that caused the play to fail.

  36. By Thad on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Do you think benching berrian and putting camrillio in his place would help the vikings out. I mean berrian has dropped 2 punts while calling fair catches. The guy is an idiot and needs to go back to highschool to learn the basics of catching a ball. Atleast Camrillo has a better shot at helping the vikings than berrian does.

  37. By Betsy on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Please put Rosenthal in as quarterback after 2 periods if Brett Favre is not doing well – remember the pre-season games and how good Rosenthal was and he is the best quarterback this season for the Vikings – Brett is a great quarterback in the past years, but it seems his timing is just not there anymore. Just think if they had let Ryan Longwell go for the 2 field goals, instead of those 4th down tries — and Ryan had made those 3 points each time — the Vikings would of won 16 to 14.

  38. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Martin, I’m not sure what moves the Vikes should have made to improve this team beyond what they did. They let Sapp, Reynaud, and Rosenfels go knowing that they didn’t need them. Cook is better than Sapp, but he got injured after the trade. Reynaud is a decent return man, but which of the punts today could he have returned? Lets see… none. Rosenfels? No need to discuss that move.

Taylor is a bit of a blow, but I don’t think he would be that much better than Gerhart WILL be, and AP can pick up the slack caused by his abscence.

I could see going for a decent safety and some OL help. Other than that, I don’t see what else they could have done? Any realistic suggestions?

@Woodboat – people have been screaming for 1 extra WR all summer, before Rice got injured. Seems like nobody trusted Berrian could be the guy, and he is proving them right. Right now though I’d go to the practice squad to solve the problem before trading for a new problem (V.Jackson). I really thought Logan Payne looked good enough to make the team, and would have been able to catch those throws that Berrian was dropping.

It’s time! Time to pull the plug on the “Farve Experiment!” He manipulated his way into telling management and coaches his “rules” and his “terms” of his return. And now this this is where we are at. We all love a winner, Farve is a winner, history shows it. But enough is enough. If he can’t build up the nerve to say it’s time to call it quits, it’s time management does. This team deserves more. More then the hope of the past that Farve is selling every Viking fan. How long will this last? There are only 14 more games left in the season, and we find ourselves 2 games down. If the Packers only go 11 – 5 for the season, for us to take the division we would need to go 12 – 4. That means with 14 games left we need to go 12 – 2 the rest of the year. Not going to happen with what we are doing now. Someone needs to tighten their belt and say enough is enough!!!

  45. By Woodboat on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

WTF, I obviously agree that Berrian isn’t a number 1 receiver, but I think they figured Rice would be ready by the season opener. I don’t know who they looked at during the off season, but they must have thought Berrian was at least as good as any FA. I disagree, but I don’t get paid by the Vikes. They traded for an experienced Logan Payne in Camarillo… now they just need to start him.
Rosenfels may have beaten out Jackson, I dunno. If he did, it wasn’t by much.

  48. By rocksalt on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

Adrian ran for 145 yards mostly on his own…….I doubt that much of his runs were scripted beyond him getting to the line of scrimmage. Why didn’t we use Camarillo? Why don’t we move Jared Allen around? He was shut down today and for most of the game was man on man…

  49. By Bleeding Purple for life on Sep 19, 2010 | Reply

From what I’ve seen everyone s trying to blame favre. How can you blame him, when he has no recievers and the ones he doesdont try. percy was the only one trying and he was really hurting. Thats the problem when you dont have enough recivers he has to play cause theres no one else. Brrian drops everything he sees. Why do we still have greg lewis? Why was jevon cut, atleast favre knew the guy and how he plays? Why didn’t we go after hush, he atleast could have been a threat and has better hands then anyone we have? Why doesn’t camarillo get played atleast he can catch? I no V jack might not be the answer but atleast he gives us a Reciever who can do the job. Why haven’t we signed him? since when was 4 recievers enough? and since when was 3 healthy cbs enough?

Favre went 4-8 in the 4th against N.O. and 3-8 in the last series against the fins so why only throw the ball at the end of games? Why not give Webb a chance at WR after all that is what we drafted him at? T-Jack played better in the first 2 games of 2008 then Favre has played in the first 2 games of 2010 so should Favre get benched like T-Jack did?

  61. By Happy on Sep 20, 2010 | Reply

This is hardly all Favre’e fault. An old Favre is still better than any alternative we have at this point. The offense will hopefully get it together before it is too late. The main problems I see are McKinnie (still) and Berrian. Someone on another board said that Berrian retired and forgot to tell the team. I think that is pretty accurate. I don’t know much about Vincent Jackson, but come on, we have to TRY something.

We need someone Favre can trust to catch the ball right now and except for Shiancoe…we ain’t got none!!! Rice is out, Harvin is hurting and Berrian is plain no good! Why not start the two Gregs? Lewis came out of nowhere for a catch that was replayed a million times last year, and is obviously back to nowhere except for a few touches here and there. Between he and Camarillo, at least they can catch the ball. Can’t be worse than what we are looking at now and Favre needs someone he can trust.

I am a NY Giants Football fan (yeah…we got stomped last night) but my 11 year
old loves Favre. I watched the game and well…he seems extremely frustrated
and looks as though he feels HE needs to win these games which is not good.
Minnesota must bring in Vincent Jackson and give Favre a deep threat and the
defense someone else to worry about even if he’s a decoy for a game or two.

The offense yesterday seemed way too predictable and if Favre’s ankle is okay
he seems to be much better rolling out. They really should consider using AP
more out of the backfield as a receiver and dare I say insert Jackson every
so often to give the threat of a QB who would run. Favre had several open lanes

i believe the vikings problems started when we didn’t resign chester taylor.and had a chance to get brandon marshall and didnt go after him.the icing on the cake was trading our first round draft pick to detroit lions, whick,we should have drafted rb travis best to be our third down back.our offensive line need up grading our offense should have been our #1priority that and protecting bret favre.then when rice return 100% healthy were better and deeper at the position.we know what bret can do with talent, but no one can move the ball consistantly without protection and a balance attack.all defenses are gear to stop you .bret has no #1receiver on the field,no third down back.toby gerhart is a good backup for peterson thats it not third down back.can be used as short yardest back.we would still have benny sapp he was a good player for us ,while we atttempted to get to the division title and super were a team waiting for player to heal.this does not guarantee, atomatic success, these players have not played football for a while.our defense was pretty good we had free agents and the draft to fix the problem,so you can’t blame bret favre .we had recever javon walker, and so other talented receivers who look good in pre season and waived them so who do you blame for droping the ball this time it cant be the players they all want to we still want to win the super bowl. can someone makeup their dont trade your #1 draft pick in your own division ever that like trading randy moss, that something you never do….

The Vikings had excellent success last year and that was based upon Brett having fun playing the game. I haven’t seen him having fun this year and that is the reason for the 0-2 start. The team and coaches need to make this year fun for Brett or they will not get to the level needed to make a run for the SB….

    Mike –

The last time the Vikings started 0-2, was 2008 with two losses, a road loss to the division rival Green Bay Packers and to a very good Indianapolis Colts team. The starting QB for those two games threw for 1 TD and 1 INT in those two games and even gave us a two TD lead against the Colts. After the second loss, our QB was benched. With a similar situation this year, except our QB throwing an additional 3 INT’s, will our starting QB be benched? If not, how much does race play a factor in the decision making of our coach and management?

When will be stop waiting around in training camp and get focused on the season, or maybe sign some secondary players. that is where we have been hurting for YEARS. Childress need to open the offense up some instead of being so conservative and run up the middle every down is not the way score points. D- line needs to fire off the ball, Jared Allen got married and got soft, your supposed to be apro bowl player, i think you have been in the back field twice this season. Would someone pleaase WAKE UP in the OFFICE and get him some help!!!! Brett is a stand-up guy and does not blame his teammates or speak badly about them. Usually he takes the blame and covers for the team, his co-players and YES, EVEN the management. Minnesota has one shot to go to and win the Superbowl — the TIME is NOW!!!!

I am a huge Brett Favre fan and have admired his game for many years. I am also a huge Vikings fan and do not want to see this season wasted. With that being said I do have a suggestion. We need a strong starting quarterback. Michael Vick needs a team to start for. While Philadelphia stepped up to the plate for Vick, they have never planned on using him for anything other than a trade. I have a feeling his value will go up greatly if he continues to have to save the day for Kolb all year while they list Kolb as the starter. Vick has paid his debt to society and is ready to be a leader once again.

What’s the possibility of Vincen Jackson becoming a Viking? His suspension is only for the first 4 games of the season because the league office already ruled that if he is traded by this Wednesday the league will waver the Chargers 3 addictional games of suspension they gave him. Sure he will cost 2 2nd round draft picks, but you’ll get one of the top 5 receivers in the league and he’s still young. Viking would only have to wait 2 more games before he could play, just enough time to learn the system.

Someone tell Jared Allen that the regular season has started. Get your head in the game and your newlywedd head out of your ass. Bed bath and beyond time is over. As for the offense people, what did you think was going to happen? Favre not at camp, Harvin never participated in camp, Camarillo is new to the offense and not at camp. The timing of the passing game is totally off and it should be no surprise by the comments I just gave. It was masked last year because of the easy schedule. The only reason why we started like we did is because of Adrian Peterson. Peterson, YOU ARE THE MAN, this guy gives his all every single week day in day out you can totally see the effort and the will to be the best. I think everyone else needs to look in the mirror and take a page out of AP’s book and start gut checking themselves. But it’s pick your poison, to many woulda coulda shoulda’s, if Peterson converts on the fourth and one, we are not here blogging or chatting right now.

I STRONGLY agree that we NEED to use Webb as a WR. He should know the play book and the routes. As long as Favre is playing there is no way that Webb is going to have any QB action, he has proven his potential for big game changing plays and Favre needs a WR who can be a deep threat that can go up for the ball. I am going to be very disappointed if we blow more money on a potential problem play maker instead of using the extreme talent that is hungry for play time and that is more of an immeadiate fix than getting someone from the outside. We already had a pot head with an ego and we saw how well that served us. They only love to play as long as they get all the good attention, not to mention they are always paranoid that every doesn’t respect them enough Randy Moss you friggin cry baby.

Besides Vincent Jackson what other receiver could we bring in to help us? I respect Berrian, but feels he lacks an explosive approach to the game. Favre needs some help.

I think using webb would be an excellent Idea!! as a wide out!

How can we make this aware to chilli. lol

Why not use Webb in the wildcat occasionally? It would be be something new on offense, give Favre a rest for a play or two, Webb could maybe throw the ball, etc.??

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR CHILDRESS AND WILF. TRADE FOR VINCENT JACKSON OR RANDY MOSS OR AT LEAST RESIGN J. WALKER. if the Vikes can sign V. Jackson to a 1 year deal, then only give up a 2nd round pick. If the Vikes can afford to sign him to a 2-3 year deal then possibly give up an additional later round draft pick if needed. GIVE FAVRE THE OFFENSIVE WEAPONS HE NEEDS WHILE YOU CAN. FAVRE IS NOT GOING TO BE PLAYING NEXT SEASON. next season the Vikes will need to find another QB. Are the coaches and owners actually serious. with Harvin out, you have 3 WR’s. the loss of Chester Taylor also hurts the Vikes. Vikes also will need the $ to resign Rice and other key players next season.

Dear Minnesota Vikings, get Vincent Jackson. Do whatever it takes.

Why don’t we an offensive coordinator? Maybe someone like Brian Billick. Look at the Bears, they got an offensive coordinator and they winning games.

come on, you know Brett and J Walker know each other. why did u even bother bringing him if u are not playing him?. Joe Webb is there to be your water-boy, please him for anything. people are saying he raw, i say raw, my behind. yhe guy can do lot of things that u dont even know yet. I still believe we can at least 11 games because everyone else gave up on us. Brett has no blame at all. if the vikings stop turning over so much, i guarantee victory against anybody. We also need to put away teams in the first half so that we dont play catch up all the time.

in greenbay brett was the offense and his gunslinging style was risky but successful but in minnesota we have talent galore and brett doesnt need to do it by himself when brett makes mistakes i think he falls victim to shouldering the entire offense on hs own and forces plays he still one of the best but dont you think he should take a deep breath and work on not having to be the star while letting AP,HARVIN,SHEINCO do their thing?

Jim Kleinsasser is the most underutilized offensive player on the team. Under short yardage situations, why not put Jim in front of the running back to block or be set up for a short pass.

Childress got a new contract because of Favre last year. He’d ride his coat tails for as long as he can. This guy is the worst coach in the NFL and should have been fired 3 years ago, the Vikings won’t win a SB with (run it up the middle on 1st down chilly). I think the Vikings are done, put the fork in them..

  175. By Dano on Sep 21, 2010 | Reply

Mike, what Vikings team do you watch?, “not predictable” are you of your mind? Look at the stats! First down, run the ball, second down pass, 3rd down pass, dah!!! Face it, it’s Chillys game plan, run the ball up the middle, not hard to defense the Vikings on first down.

As explained to me Joe Webb is designated as the third QB, if he comes into the game QB 1 & 2 are ineligable to come back in. If you change his designation, then he counts as part of 45? man roster and takes some one else off that roster. I think I have that right.

    Favre’s turnovers hurt the Vikings…
What hurt more was Chilly’s decision to go for it on 4th & 2 rather than attempt the field goal. It’s not as if Longwell has an accuracy issue or cannot convert the average FG attempt. Had they cashed in the attempt for 3 points, the Vikes could have won with a FG late in the game rather force a TD attempt. I knew when they went for it and turned over the ball on downs that it would come back to haunt them in the end. The game could have ended with a 16-14 score instead of 10-14. The Viking D did a great job in both games, but the O sucked.

Minnie has lost two games by a combined 9 points, scoring only 19 points in two games. Last season, they were averaging nearly 30 points per game!

If Favre doesn’t trust BB, why does management keep him? The only advantage that BB had over J. Walker is the fact that he already knew the playbook, while Walker isn’t the sharpest receiver in the huddle when it comes to learning new plays (it took him an entire season to learn GB’s playbook when he was a rookie).

However, Walker has better hands and vertical reach than BB, which makes him a more reliable option. Right now, BB is nothing more than a decoy for defenses. If management doubled down their bets for this season, they would find the money for V. Jackson or R. Moss to fill the void created by Rice. Also, if management doesn’t want a trade to replace Taylor, they should start using Toby Gerhart to help AP.

Seeing the recieving struggles makes me ask how is Sidney doing with rehab and what is the timeline for his return? If we do pick up Vincent Jackson how much will this help the passing game?

I feel since we didnt get Jackson the vikings should use Webb as a reciever

  184. By Eddie on Sep 23, 2010 | Reply

Seems to me they have a very talented kid sitting on the bench.. That would be Joe Webb.. Why not turn him over to the receiver coach and let him give it a try.. He’s got the size and speed they’re looking for, and they would have a second QB on the field. I believe that’s why they originally drafted him… It’s not like he’s going to play QB anytime soon, but I’m sure he could help the team in other ways..

The Vikings offense reminds me of a man with a dull axe…they’re doing alot of chopping…but no chips are flying! Son…you gotta score on the ONE YARD LINE.Four 1/4 nothins’ is a whole nothin’.

Could tavaris jackson be turned into a receiver ,running back combo ?

  187. By manley fuller on Sep 23, 2010 | Reply

tavaris has pretty good moves and i bet has good hands , fair size and isnt a bad runner ,i just wonder if he couldnt help the receiver mix?

  188. By viking 4 ever on Sep 23, 2010 | Reply

manley i hate to say it but the only way t. jack can help this team is by asking to be cut or retiring from football. if he cant read a defense as a qb how is he going to understand the sudilties of route running or learn the instincts of a good back. not an option. need to get matt jones and resign j. walker. brett needs a reciever he can trust to hang on to the ball. berrian doesnt have bretts trust after all his drops. if we can make it to 500 by the time rice returns and percy gets back to 100% we may be okay but we need to get jones and resign walker until then.

Are you guys that have jumped on Ryan Cook at every opportunity going to give him some props for today’s game? Adrian’s long run and his short score were both right through holes opened up by Cook. No bad snaps. No false starts. Heads up play all day. One clipping penalty. Otherwise, SOLID.

” It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win”… Brett Favre.. I have to agree.. It was sloppy in some ways but better than going into a bye 0-3… Adrain looked awesome!! Love u AP :) Cook looked great too!! WTH is going on with Jared Allen?? We need him to be the “animal” we know he can be!! Go Vikes!!!
