Vikings Survive But Labor In 1st Quarter

Posted by Mike Wobschall on September 9, 2010 – 7:18 pm

The 1st quarter has come to a close in the Vikings season-opener and although it hasn’t been pretty, the game is still a tight one. The Saints drove through the Vikings defense quickly on the game’s opening drive to take a quick 7-0 lead, but that’s been the only score of the game to this point.

New Orleans will punt to begin the 2nd quarter and we’ll see if Brett Favre and Co. can get something going.

Drew Brees has been sacked once by Jayme Mitchell and Chad Greenway, but otherwise he’s had all day to throw and he’s taken advantage. The Vikings had just 1 first down in the 1st quarter. New Orleans had 6.

More to come.

Can someone please tell me which Viking had the face mask call? Of course we didn’t see it because Al and Chris were too busy gushing over the Saints’ touchdown.

Is anyone else not surprised that almost all the calls have gone against the Vikings?

Did anyone just see the holding that wasn’t called against the Saints?

There isn’t any D or O. I just don’t know what Improvements or additions to the Vikings were made in the offseason.

Can someone out there answer me please. I’m soooo angry right now I want to scream.

Whatever the Saints spent on buying the officials, it’s REALLY paying off for them. Money well spent if you were a Saints fan.

Cant blame the refs for this one. Our head coach wears Packer underwear.

Team lame at rush defense and pass offense. Maybe Lord Farve
should have attended training camp? No connection with receivers.
