Report: Gerhart Agrees To Terms

Posted by Mike Wobschall on July 30, 2010 – 12:19 pm

The Star Tribune’s Judd Zulgad is reporting that RB Toby Gerhart has agreed to terms on a rookie contract with the Vikings.

I have not been given official word on whether or not he’s signed his contract, but I have seen Gerhart here in Mankato. I expect the signing to become official soon and then for the RB to be on the practice field later today.

Stay tuned for more info and don’t forget to watch Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress’ press conference live on

We have an awesome running back crew. How about another 6″6″ 330 lb offensive lineman to open holes on the right side and protect Bret F?

i’m hoping you’re joking… Phil Loadholt was not the problem last year. he wasn’t perfect, but McKinnie doesn’t look nearly as aggressive and tough. Loadholt finishes blocks in a mean way, McKinnie whiffs. With a healthier Hutch and a stronger (CROSSING MY FINGERS) Sullivan (he can’t get whipped by stout NT’s like he did last year [see the 3 AFC North teams that run a 3-4)…. we’ll be improved. But McKinnie needs to GROW UP and stop pretending like he’s a 21 year old. he’s supposed to be a MAN so i hope he starts playing with a mean streak… Big Mac: “stop hittin’ up south beach and start hitting up the weight and film rooms.”

Love Lito’s last line! “Big Mac: Stop hittin’ up south beach and start hitting up the weight and film rooms.” Could apply to Berrian too

Sweet! The 2009 NCAA rushing leader is a Viking. 1871 yards… Not bad. We now have the top rushing RB and the top rushing QB from last year signed. Joe Webb’s 1427 yards rushing was top for a QB and 12th over all. Yes, I think Coach Childress likes to run the football. Webb’s QB rating was in the top 10… so he can do more than just run.
