Vikings Have Several Fan-Friendly Events Planned For Training Camp

Posted by Mike Wobschall on July 23, 2010 – 7:33 am

We are now officially 1 week away from the commencement of training camp, with the Vikings set to hold their 1st practice of camp late Friday afternoon. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight a few fan events that will take place during Verizon Vikings Training Camp.

The Vikings will hold 2 Season Ticket Owner Days during camp, with the first occurring on Monday, August 2 and then the second on Saturday, August 7. These events are exclusive to Season Ticket Owners and they will be held in the Purple and Gold Hospitality Tent during the morning practice sessions each day. Season Ticket Owners are invited to the tent to get an endzone view of practice and they’ll also be able to get autographs from a Viking alumni player. Also, beverages and snacks will be provided. Just one more reason to become a Vikings Season Ticket Owner.

The second event I wanted to highlight is Family Football Day, which will also be held on August 7. For this event, families are invited to come to Verizon Vikings Training Camp early for youth clinics, which begin at 1:30 p.m., and then stay for evening practice, which begins at 5:00 p.m.

Finally, the last event to mention is Fan Appreciation Day, which will be on Thursday, August 12. That day, the entire Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader squad will be on-hand to hand out prizes and then fans can also register to win autographed items.

That’s it for now, but if you want to learn more about training camp be sure to visit our training camp page on
