What is going on with Greenway and Peterson? What is going on with farve?

Are the Vikes still considering a move for Winfield from corner to safety? Also. are we still in the market for a Safety such as Otogwe? I like our run defense with E.J coming back and the Williams Wall still standing, but we will need to be able to cover teams such as the Saints, Packers, Cowboys, Eagles and Cardinals again in order to make it to the big game, so why arn’t we trying to solidify that hole in our coverage?

Are the Vikings interested in acquiring Haynesworth from Washington? He had a great year in Tennesse and then a seriously disappointing year last season. Is he worth the money he’s requesting, and is Zygi and the front office willing to go after him? If so, what do you think we would need to give up in exchange? Obviously this would be a relatively smart move with this season probably being Pat Williams’ last with the Vikes.

The majority of Vikings nation believes that The Silver Fox will be back for one more run in 2010, but if he happens to surprise us all and finally call it quits, what is your opinion on Tarvaris Jackson and his potential to lead the team? I’d say our team is considerably better on offense than the last time Tarvaris started, with the addition of Percy, and the breakout season by Rice (which we can thank Brett for), plus Shiancoe playing at the level he is, I personally believe TJACK could do it. But obviously I’m in a rare group of fans that thinks this way. What do you think?

I have been wondering just how much carrying a heavier ball helps peterson with his fumbling problems. I mean I would thing when he starts carrying the regular football at would be so light that he would still hold it away from his body. Why dont they have him carry a regular football and do drills where they use plastic bats to try and knock the ball out. Just a suggestion, and was wondering about the weighted football.

Is Childress concerned with the absence of Jared Allen’s mullet? These things are obviously hard to prove scientifically, but I think everyone knows that the DE’s excellent Squirrel Pelt dramatically improved his game, and inspired the entire defensive line as well. Can we expect to see the mullet return? Will there be enough time for Allen to grow it to an adequate length by the much-anticipated rematch vs. New Orleans?

Whats going on with Jared Allen and his hair? Is he thinking of getting a new hair cut?

Obviously with the recent issues with Haynesworth, there would be some lengthy discussion about the acquirement of him here at the Vikings. With Pat Williams probable retirement at the end of the season, and a low cost in terms of the trade (ie 3rd round draft pick for an incredibly good player – if Childress can handle him) – do you think the Vikings are strong contenders to get Haynesworth?

Which one of the players on the Vikings roster would most likely play in the World Cup? Would any of them even be competitive?

Hi, Mike what was the point of signing ryan moats when we are loaded at running back? will percy still return punts? I hope they only use him specifically at wideout.

What do you think is Vikings biggest consern? I mean we are very good loaded at all position, all people keep saying safety is our biggest problem, how do you see the seconddary on the vikings rooster? I think that the two safeties will step up this season. I also think the addition of Chris Cook was a very nice move. Do you think the vikings improoved enough at seconddary this offseason? –
Who do you see have the biggest impact in the 2010 season, and is the seconddary good enough to winning a Superbowl?

    Thanks – Malte Dengsøe :)

What is Sage’s trade value. He is certainly the odd man out when Favre decides to return.

If the Vikings were made of barbeque spare ribs, would you eat it? I know I sure would! Heck, I’d ask for seconds.

  15. By fmfan on Jun 20, 2010 | Reply

if Favre retires do you think the play calling will become predictable again? 1st down run, 2nd down run, 3rd down pass, over and over again.

With the college realignment, do you feel it’s pushing more towards a playoff? I hope so!

I was just wondering why the Vikings have signed a RB when they are already loaded at the position(not saying Moats cant help the team) but have done nothing to solidify the teams biggest need which is safety? I find this especially confusing since their is a high quality player out there in O.J. Atogwe? Do you think ther is any chance of the vikes signing him? If not why do you think so? Also with the stuff that has been going around lately what is your thoghts on whether Favre will come back this year? Also do you think that T-Jack has improved enough to take lead of this team if Favre hangs em up? Finally what is the word on Webb from what i heard he must have been really impressing coaches? he started out at WR took some snaps at QB and then by Mini Camp was taking most of the 2nd String snaps. Is this kid the real deal?

Is there a rift between a.p and the vikings? are they trying to change ap running style or will they let the lion run loose like his rookie year I hope the vikings don’t change his running style. Its just the way he holds the ball he runs hard and should continue that form. I heard they want ap to be more patient wouldn’t that affect his mentality?

Hi, Mike thanks for keeping fans updated pre season is around the corner I hope the o-line practices against heavy blitz and protect the qb more especially in shotgun formation favre was brutalized if you have the chance to talk to childress tell him in training camp to heavy blitz the o- line get them more aware of different types of blitz 3-4 or 4-3 I hope mckinney picks up his game he has been a huge disappointment.

Happy fathers day Mike. With Favre coming back for another run, whats your opinion on the vikes picking up both Otagwe and Haynseworth? You have to admit there would’nt be too many who would question our favorability at the superbowl with those two added on.

  22. By travis on Jun 20, 2010 | Reply

The vikings should go after Haynesworth,he would greatly beef the defense GO GET HIM!!!!!

  23. By Tom on Jun 20, 2010 | Reply

The vikes will not go after either

What free agent out there, if any, do you think could be a good fit to the Vikings? I know there are not many holes in the team, but is there someone that adds depth to a certain position, or could be additional insurance to a potential injury?

  27. By Dustin on Jun 20, 2010 | Reply

Is there a reason why the vikes haven’t pursued Westbrook? Was it the injuries or was it a money issue? It would appear that the Vikings staff believe something needs to be added to the running back position. Can we expect to see another RB be added to the team?

  28. By Dustin on Jun 20, 2010 | Reply

Mike, What positions do you think need to be improved to make this team have a higher chance of a SB championship? Safety, LB, deeper Def Line depth, O-line?

Do you think that Albert Haynesworth is a possibility, or is the offensive line more likely to be revamped before the season starts?

    Hey Mike,

Should the old man decide to hand up his boots, either this summer or next, what would you like to see the Vikings do to address the QB position? should we sacrifice some draft picks and either trade up and get one of the top QB’s from college or trade for a potentially top QB in the NFL (perhaps from Denver)? or should we stick with what we have and try to develop Jackson and Webb?

    Kind Regards,

Mike, how are the VIking’s rebuilding their offensive scheme to address the deterioration over the last few games of regular season then what appeared to be a total collapse during the post season in protecting Brett Favre?

  34. By Daniel on Jun 21, 2010 | Reply

What’s happening with RB Ian Johnson? Is he attending summer practice? I really enjoyed his performance here in the WAC. Though WAC to others maybe weak, still got players made for the NFL.

Last season the offensive line had some great games, but then there was the carolina game and some other bad performances. Why were there these inconsistences? and what is being done to make the o-line more consistent? I think if it was more consistant last year Brett would have been even better (if that is possible) and in the NFC champioship not as beat up and pressured out of the pocket to throw the worst interception ever which eventually cost us the game. Thanks for taking my question.

I don’t think we ( Vikings ) is interested in Haynseworth. By what I am seeing in draft choices and etc. I think we will or might go to a 3 – 4 defense in 2011. It would NOT be a good idea to have Haynseworth, if we do.

Can the Viking organization help the homeless people and help the food shelfs in Mpls. and St, Paul. During these tough times with the economy. Can the orginazation help with support for those that need some extra attention of help at these times. Like , players start some contributions them self. They are earning such big wages. Help the smaller less fortunate people at this time. The Viking org. can have and advertise the public to bring an can or two to all of the home games. Or even an bag full of good !! People are in need these days.

With the best run stopping defense in the game the past five years, how can we boost the play of our secondary to create a top ten pass defense team and also remain at the top with run stopping? Also, would signing Atogwe be a benefit or a hurt by removing either M. Williams or Tyrell Johnson?

From what i have been hearing and reading, it sounds like Joe Webb is impressing the viking coaching staff with his arm. What are the chances that the Vikings sign Webb as our thrid string QB? And if so what do you think a trade possiblity of tradeing Sage?
