No On-Field Work Friday; OTAs To Resume Next Week

Posted by Mike Wobschall on May 28, 2010 – 6:34 am

The Vikings wrapped up their 2nd week of OTAs on Thursday morning with a 90-minute workout and then several players and coaches joined in on the fun of the organization’s annual golf tournament. There will be no on-field work Friday or Monday but the team will return to the field on Tuesday.

The Vikings are scheduled to hold 4 more OTAs next weekend, although the OTA schedule is always subject to adjustment and change.

With Monday being Memorial Day, we’ll suspend our weekly Monday Morning Mailbag feature to Tuesday morning. So be sure to submit your comments/questions by emailing me at wobschallm@vikings.nfl.net.

The Seahawks just released LenDale White. Said he would not fit in with their team. The Vikes should pick him up and have Gerhart learn from him and AP for a year instead of thrusting him into the third down role.

white is not viking material … toby has to complete his commitment at stanford and will be at ota’s as soon as he has graduated out west in june … there is nothing white can teach toby about bein a runnin back at any level … as for mentorin on how things are in the NFL for a runnin back who better than adrian peterson to show him the ropes so to speak … i can still hardly believe the purple are gonna hav adrian and toby as their runnin backs is like a dream combination … hope ya all hav a gr8 holiday weekend and stay safe

As long as we do’nt fumble too much we should be in the thick of things come playoff time. Gerhart should be a nice addition. the o -line should keep working hard. Rice,Berrian and Harvin are solid.Coach’s need to focus on good play calling.2-minute drill needs to be practiced more. J.Allen should have a good year.

Vikes need to work on penalties having the right amount of guys in the huddle practice for live situations on strictly not committing penalties or false starts. Get the players disciplined in playing smart football. Childress needs to practice in training camp on penalties, silent snap count. The playoffs was a good indication of having too many men in the huddle we lost 5 yards.

I agree, work on live situations, OUR D WILL BE THE BEST THIS YEAR, J.ALLEN, WILLIAMS “WALL”, EVERSON, LB NEED TO SHOW UP AND OUR DB’S WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE! SHOUT OUT TO CHRIS COOK HE’S BEEN AMAZING SO FAR THEY SAY! OUR D WILL BE ON TOP THIS YEAR IN THE LEAGUE. WATCH OUT!

    GOD BLESS
