The annual Vikings Children’s Fund (VCF) Golf Tournament will be held this Thursday at Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove. The sold-out event is sponsored by Miller Lite and will include several current and former Vikings players and coaches, including Head Coach Brad Childress, as well as many staff members and front office executives.

All proceeds of the event, which is not open to the public, benefit the VCF.

A shotgun start is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. with an awards ceremony featuring comments from Vikings VP of Player Personnel Rick Spielman to follow. KFAN will be broadcasting live from Rush Creek during the day.

Since 1978, the VCF has distributed more than $9 million, with over $5 million supporting research at the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics.

I so respect everything Charity, but why do they tell us about it when it isn’t open to the public or televised?
