Is there any chance the Vikings will look to take a chance on Jamarcus Russell. They should be able to get him at a reasonable price, he has a strong arm, and give the kid a break he was stuck in Oakland.

Since the judge sided with the NFL on the Williames case. Do you know believe the Vikings will pursue Jon Henderson who was released from the Jags?

Hi, I have an idea. If you would like a new stadium, could you committ a certain percentage of the stadium income to education. Maybe the first year could be 10% and then like 1% after that. That would help solve the education crisis and I think this would make everyone very happy. Just a thought. Sharon Hilbrands

Who do you believe will improve the most through this offseason? Do you think any last year starters will lose their spots?

Do you think CB Chris Cook could be a starter by the beginning of next season? Would he beat out Griffin,Sapp, Sheppard, or Paymah? Or are we mostly talking about special teams and the occassional appearance in the CB position?

  8. By Travis on May 7, 2010 | Reply

In my opinion Cedric Griffin is one of the most under rated players on the Vikings team. What do you think?

  9. By Dave J. on May 7, 2010 | Reply

I think Brett Favre should come back, and I also think he should get in touch with Terrell Owens, tell him to calm down and come play with the Vikings. What do you think?

I heard a rumor that Dexter Manley Jr. (son of all pro DE Dexter Manley Sr.) participated during the rookie mini camp. If so does he have a legit chance at making the team?

Is there a possibility of the vikes trading for albert Haynesworth? Even if the Williams wall isn’t suspended, Pat is getting up their in age and doesn’t bring a lot of pass rush. With Haynesworth in between Kevin and Jared, plus Ray Edwards, there wouldn’t be a more dominant line against the run or the pass. This would take a lot of pressure off the secondary. Plus most of his garenteed money has already been paid.

With respect to the recent Vikings rookie mini camp. Would you kindly provide a detailed account of those who excelled, surprised, and disappointed with some sort of titillating x-factor or prognostication related to the rookies? It’s as though there is a media blackout concerning the camp for the Vikes. I am able to locate an abundance of information that pertains to other team’s rookie mini camps. What gives?

I haven’t heard anything on Perriloux whats going to happen with him? are the vikings going to give him a chance to participate in more team training? Being an LSU fan I’ve watched alot of video on him, even after he left to jacksonville, he has excellent athletic ability and has the potential to be the steal of the decade under the right coach, he has great footwork and pocket presence i think anyways…. so i guess im just looking for an update on the young QB

  14. By Mike on May 8, 2010 | Reply

A Couple questions first what are the vikings planning on doing at DT now Williams wall are going to be suspended?

Also do you think the stadium bill will ever get passed? Do you think they would leave?

  15. By Mike on May 8, 2010 | Reply

What do you think about Ryan Perriloux? Is their any chance of the Vikings still offering him a contract? Also have any rookies stood out to you so far and do you see the vikings possibly extending invitations to minicamps or offering contracts to any of them say like Kelton Tindel?

Is it Fair that someone caught on steroids like the Texan’s Cushing has the same penalty as a player on weight loss pills that potentially could be used to help mask steroid usage? If you test positive for steroids you use steroids, whereas if you use star caps you do not necessarily use steroids– (actuality v. potentiality) to me this is indicative of injustices in the CBA’s Substance Abuse Policy, what do you think?

What changes will be made in the pass protection to keep Brett Favre upright and healthy this season. With the Saints blueprint of how to attack the passing game, changes certainly need to be made…With the Saints, Jets, Patriots, Eagles, Cowboys on the schedule this season…

Hi i’m from KansasCity, i would like to know what us fans from other cities can do to help in the process to get a new stadium. How can our voice be heard, my finances are not deep, but i do try to get to Minnesota at least once a year to see my favorite team the Vikings play. Thank You

I see the Williams wall issue as a chance for the backup guys to show their game and wow some fans who didn’t know our depth. Do you think we’ll see some surprises in the upcoming season. If so, would we rotate them more with the Williams even if they are capable of playing, just to keep them(Williams) fresh?

Also with the Favre ankle, what is the very last week/month that Farve would need surgery should he be ready to play in the Saints game or the beginning weeks of the regular season?

How was Everson Griffens minicamp workouts? Can’t seem to find much info on him lately.

What is the situation with Brett? Has he announced his plans?

  29. By guest123 on May 9, 2010 | Reply

Do you think the vikes would sign haynesworth that would be a superb addition, pat and kevin are facing suspension, pat is getting old and about to retire. Why not add a beast in haynesworth? I know we have depth at d-tackle but haynesworth is for sure one of the best dt in the nfl he would have no problem starting and causing havoc immediately if needed.

  30. By fmfan on May 9, 2010 | Reply

do you think the VIKINGS will grow a spine and tell Brett if he wants to play for them this year he WILL go to training camp? From what I have heard it will take around 8 weeks for Favre to be ready (surgery, healing, and strenghtening of the ankle).

  31. By Andrew on May 9, 2010 | Reply

I heard on the internet that albert haynesworth was interested in comming to the vikings and that at the draft we were in “hot pursuit” of him and with pat getting up there in age what are the chances of this getting done?

who will start QB if bret farve dont come back

  33. By Pat the Viking on May 9, 2010 | Reply

I know that it will takes ALL of the camp and several pre-season games to know who will start and where and the PATH to the Superbowl starts at Camp.

Are the Vikings planning and doing everything they can NOW to WIN the SUPERBOWL this coming year ?

So what do you think about us taking the 25th best CB in the draft ( Chris Cook)
    and then Toby Gerhart?

    1. Do you think the Williams guys will actually have to be suspended for 2010 games or will this wind up back in court?

    2. Does it look like the State of Minnesota would actually let the Vikings leave rather than work with them on a new stadium. If so, what kind of stupid pills are they taking?

    3. What do you call Minnesota without the Vikings? …………………Iowa

T.O. does have good workout/practice ethic, could he be a good mentor to the younger receivers?

What is Rick and Brads view on character issues vs. talent?

I feel that the bears might take him if someone else doesn’t. Yes he does have annoying traits but he does perform on the field so he could be a good 1-2yr guy mainly for making plays and mentoring our younger receivers.

Could the Vikings pick him up for a year to give us yet another offensive weapon for Favre or T.Jack?

  37. By gunner on May 10, 2010 | Reply

After the final game against the Saints where Favre was targeted and hammered, what have the Vikings done or what will they do to protect him in the future? If I was the defence coach this season and I was against Favre I would watch the tape from the Saints game and try to copy it and smash favre. I hope he does not come back for the first game and then he gets injuried because our OL does not propect him………….

well mike i wanna know if you personally think we need to make any major changes to the team that was one play from the superbowl last january … does a o-line that blocked for a 4200 yd HOFer-to-be passer and a 1300+ yd runnin back really need an overhaul (I DONT THINK SO) … do we really need to bring in a couple of head-cases like haynesworth or t o that would create lockroom trouble like everywhere they go (not that childress would ever hav t o on any team of his ever anyway) … do you think the purple d-line is deep enough to withstand the four game suspensions … also i heard they may not hav to serve those four games at the same time is this true … could it go like four for pat first and then four for kevin after that (i think i read that somewhere) … just askin mike

Hi Mike, this is my first posting, Im not sure how this works. But I was wondering what was the reason for passing on taylor mays and Colt Mc Coy?
We clearly need a good franchise QB, thats probably our biggest need. I have think tavaris is decent and I like him but hes not the best performer. And our backfield besides winfield and griffen is a joke. Taylor mays would have been a HUGE improvment! Just curious as to our draft choices. Im really hoping this year is the year we win the superbowl, we should have won it last year, that saints game was a joke. what key improvments have been made?

Also, sidney and percey are great but lots of teams have 2 good corners, we need someone to help take the pressure off them. otherwiese brett is going to keep forcing the ball to sidney and we are going to lose just like the saints game. Why not go after T.O or a big name WR to help out? T.O would be a great addition, hes reaching his last few years, dont you think he wants a ring? hes going to be playing his best! Id love to see Owens in a vikings uni.

I was thinking the vikings should try to create an all black uniform with a little bit of purple and yellow in it as a 3rd jersey – try the all black as a more intimidating factor.

Lets say the vikings get the chance to build there stadium…1. Where will they build it. 2. What impact will it make on fans and season ticket holders 3. Does brett favre help the viks make that new stadium, if so how?

With the addition of Toby Gerhart, do you see both AD and Gerhart getting equal amount of carries this upcoming season or the season after? It seems to me that Minnesota could end up having two star running backs like the panthers do in williams and stewart. If that’s the case then that means AD would have to share the glory. Do you think that this could happen?

I was wondering what happened to the Rookie Free Agent QB Ryan Perriloux? Will he be invited to the Vikings Camp in August? Please let me know the answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hey guys! Who cares what color the Vikings uniform is?? No to TO. No to Haynesworth. Yes, get some big guys that can move faster to protect Brett Favre! Any other questions? I got the answers. Vikings had that game. We will correct what needs to be corrected and take it all the way to the SUPERBOWL. How about another new record for Brett…Oldest QB to win back-to-back Superbowls!!! That would be so awesome!! Go VIKES!!

Do u think the vikings should move along without E.J Henderson and start one of their young linebackers?Cause from wat i see the vikings play mostly nickle packages and Ben Leber or Chad Greenway could eithter play middle inthe nickle.

Is it really a hard decision for Vikings Management to get Albert Haynesworth or John Henderson, whatever the fate of the Williams Wall would be? If the Williams duo are suspended or not, either Haynesworth or Henderson as back-up is a good idea. Pat is 38 years old, and getting a dominant player is a no brainer. Henderson is 335 lbs. Perhaps Vikes want someone cheaper. Anyway, a mammoth defensive lineman would be nice. The Griffin, Haynesworth or Henderson, Jimmy Kennedy, and Allen front four would be pretty good. The other Viking need is a humongous offensive lineman in place of Herrera or Sullivan, to protect Bret F. and make holes for AP and TG, Bret is in his 40s and would be fragile when playoffs come around. Give him the protection that he needs. Go Vikings!

In my humble opinion looking at Haynesworth turning 29 years old this June and Pat Williams being 38 years old this year we should make an offer to the Redskins for him and it would solve our DT situation for 5-7 years. We did the same thing in acquiring Jared Allen and he’s been the best thing that has happened to our defense especially in the pass rush! We finished 13th against the run last year and by acquiring Haynesworth we dodge the williams wall bullet and We have the most dominating DT in football. I think that run defense would instantly be back in the top 3 or 4 hmmm maybe number 1? Knowing Cedric Griffin and E J Henderson will probably be starting the season on injured reserve sure would be nice to give Drew Brees something to be afraid of!!!

Is that drafted guy DeGeare, ready to play at a playoff level when the need arises? Opponents will simply look at the New Orleans-Minnesota NFC championship game, and know that the way to defeat the PURPLE, is to maul Bret Favre? So how will the Vikings Management address the protection of Bret and creating holes in the right side of the offensive line?
