Brett you are awesome we honor you for staying in the game after they injuried you. That was their intent from the start of the game you could see it and they succeed but they never killed our Spirit! The refs were against you gave the Saints 2 touchdowns. If we lose we lose as champions. We love you Vikings.

Gee Thanks Brett, for passing that interception because you need to be a glory HOG. Instead of runing it or going for the field goal you had to suck the hope out of all the fans for your own GLORY! GO AWAY! I would rather have a quaterback that had the teams best interest at heart instead of their own glory! Going to the Saints next year or something?

I am so disappointed in so many that are writing on this blog!! I just watched the entire team of Vikings make more mistakes in one fooball game than I have ever seen in my 20 years of football watching and you are all blaming one person: Brett. Obviously, the interception was dumb but not on purpose and sure not to take the glory. Did anyone ever think that he threw the ball because he couldn’t run? I watched that man take more hits than most quarterbacks half his age could withstand, have a 300 lb lineman land on his ankle, and McCray intentionally try to hurt him and so many of you have nothing but disdain?!?! I give him credit for what he did well, which was keep them in a game where they had what 4 fumbles? and give him the blame for what he did wrong too– want something so badly you might get yourself into a situation that you can’t see clearly. There was plenty of blame to go around for that loss!!

  30. By Stephanie on Jan 24, 2010 | Reply

I can hear it now…”Brett lost the game.” but what about the 6 other fumbles….one that set up a Saints TD and one that was lost when the Vikings could have at least kicked a field goal from 20 yards out? that stupid penalty of “12 men in the huddle” set them back five yards so they were out of field goal range so they had to try and throw it. I’m so crushed…I give Brett a lot of credit for getting back up and fighting through the pain of getting hit over and over again. toughest guy in football.

The NFC Championship game was one of the worst officiating ever.
Consistent late hits against the passer were missed. They have to be blind not to see Favre getting hits after the ball had left the passers hand.
Bad spots calling them first downs in favor of Saints. Pass interference calls were made against the Vikings were bad calls.
This was mostly in the 4th quarter where officials were favoring Saints.
    Something smells dirty here.
Vikings need to appeal and challenge the officials and NFL on this issue.

    Concerned fan of NFL.

The Saints running back’s knee touched the ground before the ball went above the goal line and they gave them a touch down. This was shown on the replay.

Guys, the Rev here. You played an amazing game no one should be upset at that performance. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, if not the Saints, I’d have no one else represent the NFC other than the Vikings. You guys had me very scared.

We can always say bad calls, if not for the fumbles, and all sorts of other things. Bottom line is this though, when it’s all said and done, the buzzer rings, only one team can win. Tonight it was the Saints, their first trip to the bowl. Favre, AP, Harvin, Bernard, Allen, all those guys are great, truly great. Great game guys. Sorry for the loss though, I know it hurts. Lets suck it up, and pull for our NFC in Miami. Again, grats on a very very wonderful season.

Get a life non-Vikings fans, nothing better to do than hang out on our fan website? The saints didn’t win the game, we gave them the game. The Vikings outplayed them in all 4 quarters. Bad officiating will never go away, but how do you miss calling a touchdown in the NFL?
Brett played one of his best seasons ever this year with the Vikes. He is not our only weapon, and he didn’t lose the game all by himself. I have never been a Favre fan, but once he donned the purple he became one of us. He and the WHOLE TEAM played their hearts out! I am so proud to be a Vikings fan. We do play with honor and respect.
Stand proud Vikings, you are OUR CHAMPIONS!
PS. Watched the game in Louisiana of all places – on vacation – and all the saints fans here were all pulling for the Jets to win. They all agree that the saints CANNOT beat the Colts. Should be interesting to see them with their pants down getting run over by the Colts.

it’s good to see that most Vikings fans aren’t trasing their team and blaming one player. it hurts today thinking about all the mistakes made when the Vikings mostly dominated the whole time, in all phases. penalties, fumbles, ints, bad calls, etc. no one player is to blame and I guess one thing positive to take away is that even though the Vikings kept getting the momentum taken away from them, they fought hard and never gave up till the time ran out. I’m still ticked at some of those hits Favre took. they were trying to kill the guy. I understand it’s football but how many times did he have the ball out of his hand only to get completely nailed?

Brett should be proud! He led this team to the biggest game they have played in years. Yeah, he could have ran, but he deserves a world of credit. When you all saw him limp off the field after that hit half way through the game what were you thinking? We you excited about the backup coming in or were you hoping Brett would be back out?

I hope he decides with in the next couple weeks to come back next year. With the experiances from this year they could easily have an even better season next year. Go Brett!!!!!

Thank god i do not have to listen to these bandwagon vikes fans talking up there team of choke artists for another 2 weeks. After watching that game i couldnt help but to laugh that game was that was the definition of vikings football to a T. Peterson due to the fact that he is a so so blocker and cant catch the ball out of the backfield is as overrated as they come and no were close to what you would consider an elite back couldnt hold on to the ball if his life depended on it u cant even keep this guy in to close a game out or in the clutch he proved that all year. To top it all off giving childress an extension this was the biggest joke ive seen the vikes do since Tice started advertising the randy ratio lol what a joke. Childress calls the game like a 10 yr playing madden on his game console! From the get go the guy starts out the season with an onside kick against the cleveland browns who at that point hadnt scored on there last 7 quarters of football and thats how you start a season with one of the best Ds in the league going against a horrible offense you give them field position and end up trailing at the half! Real head scratcher. Or how about running up the score in the dallas game going for it on 4th down when th game is over and you have a fellow coach over there in wade phillips fighting for his job. NO CLASS! But my favorite call was not sending longwell who has been one of the best kickers in the game all year in for a 50 yard field goal in a dome with 25 secs left in the game for the win in a game where everything that could have gone wrong for the vikings did and to still have a chance to go to the big show after all the turnovers and miscues he doesnt send in the fiel goal unit and gives the saints hope for a turnover trys a few up the gut runs and then gets that 12 man in the huddle call thats hillarious you dont see that in college ball forcing them to put the ball in the air and what do you know! All in all the saints should have showed as much class as the vikes did the week before and and walked the vikings over the game ball cause that hole squad childress especially deserved to be the saints MVP of that game!! The MN choke artists are the funnest football team in the league to root against they always make you so happy and its always great to listen to the band wagon fans hate on them after words! All in all i cant wait for things next season there looking up rite? 1.Childress the fearless moron leading the squad for another t years to come. 2.Brett Favre most likely retiring (thank god he came here for one season to get childress his ext)LOL 3.half of the williams wall of roids pat thinking about retirement. This was there chance and 1 yr window who knows how long it will be it. Its been 12 yrs since 98. Will it be another 12?

Maybe childress should be greatful favre came back to save his! Oh an Mckinnie going awol on the pro bowl is showing about as much respect for the game that have set these guys for the rest of there lives financially as the williams brothers havein getting busted?
