There is an unwritten rule in pro football, you don’t run up the score. College is different because of the importance of rankings but in the pros a win is a win. If it was an “accidental” score like a back busting through and scoring because of sloppy tackling, that would be one thing but it showed poor judgement by Favre and Childress. What goes around comes around. In the grand scheme it really makes no difference because New Orleans will pound them next week. Art from Napa

I don’t understand all the fuss. Football is football. You either play the game or you don’t. Brett was just showing that Dallas quit before the game was over. Great game Vikes!

Cheri, you don’t understand football. Childress should have pulled his starters. You play the game to win, not to embarass your opponent. I am not a Dallas fan or a Saints fan. All I know is Bud Grant would have never done that.

Hey Art let me ask you this do you think their defense wouldn’t have sacked Brett if they could have? They lined up for a blitz why do you think they did that? What would have been worse our QB getting sacked and him getting hurt or some egos getting hurt? Please stop the hypocrisy the girls didn’t show up and they got schooled that’s football.

Vikefan4eva, no hypocisy, no hate, no knock on the Viking’s performance. It was sensational. But if Brett had gotten sacked and hurt, you and everyone in the great state of MN would have been saying how stupid Childress was for leaving him in the game. There is no excuse or rational other than wanting to run up his stats. If that was the case, it was selfish. He may surpass all of Montana’s post season stats but there is not a player, coach, owner or knowledgeable fan who will ever say his is a better QB. He has one ring and that’s all he’ll ever have. He cried his way out of Green Bay, shafted the Jets, toyed with management at the beginning of the season and even stood up Childress on MNF. The reality is if he didn’t have AP and a great offense line, he’d already be IR. So if you and Cheri want to see class at QB, watch Peyton and Drew closely.

poor art if romo would have did that to us u guys would have been here still talking trash about it.

all cowboy fans well most some class act fans are still out there. but for the most part it was a favre bashing and viking bashing all weak u deserve what u got we dont lie down for noone alot of people spend money on those tickets to see touchdowns and thats what they got.

Dear Bigfan: Wonder why I bet on the Vikings if I was bashing them all week? Ridiculous. Dallas was overated and most fans outside Texas know Romo doesn’t perform on the big stage. The spread was never in jeopardy and the last touchdown was meaningless. It didn’t even affect the over/under. Only thing that happens as a result of this game is Wade loses his job. So you whoop it up all you want this week! Next week will be a different story. Current line is 4 but it should move to 5 or more by week’s end. The moneyline is 210. If you don’t know what that means I’ll tell you. You have to put up $210 to win a hundred on the Saints. What does that tell you? Here is the scenario. Saints get up early making play action to AP ineffective. Favre will be pressured, sacked and possibly hurt. If that happens you’ll see Sage or Tarvaris in the game and we’ll all be singing Dandy Don’s favorite song. It will also give those disgruntled Cowboys and their fans something to be happy about.

Art……Please hush and go away. Let us fans savor a victory after having to endure all the Cowgirl fan trash talking all week. And btw, the so called media experts are starting all over again. We beat NO and we win the Super Bowl.

Has Art from Napa saw the Youtube video yet of Keith Brooking, (same guy who called the Vikings classless) holding Bernard Berrian down with an elbow to his throat? The Ref even had to pull Keith Brooking off of Berrian. I wish the Vikings would do a report about this and get the NFL Network to air this footage.

Keith Brooking is the one who is classless!!!

Art stop complaining about how the last touchdown was wrong. They talked more trash and now the media is on the Saints bandwagon. Even Darren Sharper is talken. They are both going to pay when the Vikes come in and handle the Saints. GOOOOOO VIKESSSSSS

GW you beat NO and automatically win the Superbowl? You’re tripping. How many bowls have the Vikings ever won? Steven, Favre’s been sacked and he handles it fine? Tell you what, he scored a meaningless touchdown, then pumped his fist and jumped around like he just won the game. I guarantee you every NO defensive player watching film is thinking he won’t be doing that to us. Brucie, I could care less what Brooking did before, during or after the game. He was a non factor. And Tro (was Bro taken?), I am not complaining, I’m explaining what it is to be professional and what is to be unprofessional. Sportmanship is about being a gracious winner. Like I said at the beginning, what comes around goes around. Next week when Brees kneels down to run out the clock, maybe you’ll understand. Make sure your kids are watching.

hey did the cowboys stop trying to score? no, so then why should we have. how many games are lost b/c a team sits on a lead. i’m glad we played to the end of the game.
